Praise for Judgment and Salvation

O LORD, I will honor and praise your name,
for you are my God.
You do such wonderful things!
You planned them long ago,
and now you have accomplished them.

Господи, Ты мой Бог! Честь и хвалу воздаю имени Твоему! Сколько Ты сделал дивного, сказанное Тобою — истинная правда, всё случилось, как Ты говорил.

You turn mighty cities into heaps of ruins.
Cities with strong walls are turned to rubble.
Beautiful palaces in distant lands disappear
and will never be rebuilt.

Ты укреплённый город разрушил, оставил руины от стен крепостных. Дворцы чужеземцев рухнули и никогда не будут восстановлены.

Therefore, strong nations will declare your glory;
ruthless nations will fear you.

Сильнейшие из народов Тебе воздадут почести, могущественные властители будут бояться Тебя.

But you are a tower of refuge to the poor, O LORD,
a tower of refuge to the needy in distress.
You are a refuge from the storm
and a shelter from the heat.
For the oppressive acts of ruthless people
are like a storm beating against a wall,

Убежище Ты для бедных, многие беды их заставляют согнуться, но Ты защищаешь их. Ты, Господи, словно прибежище в жару или в наводнение. Несчастья, словно страшные дожди и ветры. Стекает дождь по стенам, но люди в доме Твоём невредимы.

or like the relentless heat of the desert.
But you silence the roar of foreign nations.
As the shade of a cloud cools relentless heat,
so the boastful songs of ruthless people are stilled.

Крик врагов вызывающ, но Ты их остановишь. Растения летом в пустыне вянут и умирают, Ты так же с врагом поступишь и поставишь его на колени. Как тучи спасают от зноя, так Ты спасёшь от врага.

In Jerusalem,a the LORD of Heaven’s Armies
will spread a wonderful feast
for all the people of the world.
It will be a delicious banquet
with clear, well-aged wine and choice meat.

В те дни Господь Всемогущий устроит пир на Своей горе. На этом пиру будут лучшие яства и вина.

There he will remove the cloud of gloom,
the shadow of death that hangs over the earth.

Сейчас покров, называемый смертью, покрывает всех людей и все народы.

He will swallow up death forever!
The Sovereign LORD will wipe away all tears.
He will remove forever all insults and mockery
against his land and people.
The LORD has spoken!

Но смерть будет навсегда уничтожена и Господь Всемогущий утрёт слезы с каждой щеки. В прошлом Его народ был печален, но Бог снимет эту печаль.

In that day the people will proclaim,
“This is our God!
We trusted in him, and he saved us!
This is the LORD, in whom we trusted.
Let us rejoice in the salvation he brings!”

И скажут тогда люди: "Вот Он, Бог наш! Мы ждали Его и Он спас нас". Он — Господь, Которого мы ждали. Возликуем же и возрадуемся, что Он спас нас!

For the LORD’s hand of blessing will rest on Jerusalem.
But Moab will be crushed.
It will be like straw trampled down and left to rot.

Сила Господняя на этой горе, и Моав будет попран, Господь растопчет врагов, как топчут солому.

God will push down Moab’s people
as a swimmer pushes down water with his hands.
He will end their pride
and all their evil works.

Подобно плывущему раскинет руки Господь и всё, чем люди горды, соберёт, всё лучшее, что сотворил Он, всё уничтожит.

The high walls of Moab will be demolished.
They will be brought down to the ground,
down into the dust.

С землёй сравняет Он высокую крепость и стены, повергнет их на землю, и они рассыпятся в прах.
