He replied, “I am going to measure Jerusalem, to see how wide and how long it is.”

Then the angel who was with me went to meet a second angel who was coming toward him.
И вот Ангел, говоривший со мною, выходит, а другой Ангел идёт навстречу ему,
The other angel said, “Hurry, and say to that young man, ‘Jerusalem will someday be so full of people and livestock that there won’t be room enough for everyone! Many will live outside the city walls.
и сказал он этому: иди скорее, скажи этому юноше: Иерусалим заселит окрестности по причине множества людей и скота в нём.
Then I, myself, will be a protective wall of fire around Jerusalem, says the LORD. And I will be the glory inside the city!’”
И Я буду для него, говорит Господь, огненною стеною вокруг него и прославлюсь посреди него.
The Exiles Are Called Home
The LORD says, “Come away! Flee from Babylon in the land of the north, for I have scattered you to the four winds.
Эй, эй! бегите из северной страны, говорит Господь: ибо по четырём ветрам небесным Я рассеял вас, говорит Господь.
Come away, people of Zion, you who are exiled in Babylon!”
Спасайся, Сион, обитающий у дочери Вавилона.
Ибо так говорит Господь Саваоф: для славы Он послал Меня к народам, грабившим вас, ибо касающийся вас касается зеницы ока Его.
I will raise my fist to crush them, and their own slaves will plunder them.” Then you will know that the LORD of Heaven’s Armies has sent me.
И вот, Я подниму руку Мою на них, и они сделаются добычею рабов своих, и тогда узнаете, что Господь Саваоф послал Меня.
Ликуй и веселись, дщерь Сиона! Ибо вот, Я приду и поселюсь посреди тебя, говорит Господь.
Many nations will join themselves to the LORD on that day, and they, too, will be my people. I will live among you, and you will know that the LORD of Heaven’s Armies sent me to you.
И прибегнут к Господу многие народы в тот день, и будут Моим народом; и Я поселюсь посреди тебя, и узнаешь, что Господь Саваоф послал Меня к тебе.
The land of Judah will be the LORD’s special possession in the holy land, and he will once again choose Jerusalem to be his own city.
Тогда Господь возьмёт во владение Иуду, Свой удел на святой земле, и снова изберёт Иерусалим.
