A Flying Scroll

Then he said to me, “This scroll contains the curse that is going out over the entire land. One side of the scroll says that those who steal will be banished from the land; the other side says that those who swear falsely will be banished from the land.
І він сказав мені: Це клятва, що виходить на поверхню всієї землі, бо всякому злодієві відімститься цим аж до смерті, і кожному, хто неправедно клянеться, відімститься цим аж до смерті.
And this is what the LORD of Heaven’s Armies says: I am sending this curse into the house of every thief and into the house of everyone who swears falsely using my name. And my curse will remain in that house and completely destroy it — even its timbers and stones.”
І винесу його, — говорить Господь Вседержитель, — і він увійде в дім злодія та в дім того, хто неправдиво клянеться Моїм Іменем, і спочине посеред його дому, і вигубить його, його дерева та його каміння.
A Woman in a Basket
Then the angel who was talking with me came forward and said, “Look up and see what’s coming.”
І вийшов ангел, що говорив через мене, і сказав мені: Поглянь твоїми очима і подивися, що те, котре виходить.
І сказав я: Що це? І він сказав: Це мірило, що виходить. І він сказав: Це їхня неправедність в усій землі.
Then the heavy lead cover was lifted off the basket, and there was a woman sitting inside it.
І ось талант свинцю, що піднімається, і ось одна жінка сиділа посеред мірила.
The angel said, “The woman’s name is Wickedness,” and he pushed her back into the basket and closed the heavy lid again.
І він сказав: Це беззаконня. І він її кинув посеред мірила, і кинув свинцевий камінь у її уста.
Then I looked up and saw two women flying toward us, gliding on the wind. They had wings like a stork, and they picked up the basket and flew into the sky.
І я підняв свої очі та побачив, і ось дві жінки, що виходять, і дух у їхніх крилах, і вони мали крила, наче крила чорногуза. І взяли мірило посеред землі та посеред неба.
“Where are they taking the basket?” I asked the angel.
