Four Chariots

Then I looked up again and saw four chariots coming from between two bronze mountains.

Знову підвів я очі й бачу: аж ось чотири колісниці виходять з-поміж двох гір; гори ж були мідяні.

The first chariot was pulled by red horses, the second by black horses,

У першій колісниці були гніді коні; у другій колісниці були вороні коні,

the third by white horses, and the fourth by powerful dappled-gray horses.

у третій колісниці білі коні, а в четвертій колісниці — строкаті-каштануваті коні.

“And what are these, my lord?” I asked the angel who was talking with me.

Заговорив я і спитав ангела, що розмовляв зо мною: «Що воно таке, мій владико?»

The angel replied, “These are the four spiritsa of heaven who stand before the Lord of all the earth. They are going out to do his work.

Відповів ангел і сказав до мене: «Ці колісниці виходять на чотири вітри небесні після постою перед Господом усієї землі.

6

The chariot with black horses is going north, the chariot with white horses is going west,b and the chariot with dappled-gray horses is going south.”

Вороні коні йдуть у край на північ, білі вийшли у край на захід, строкаті ж вийшли у край на південь.»

The powerful horses were eager to set out to patrol the earth. And the LORD said, “Go and patrol the earth!” So they left at once on their patrol.

І каштануваті вийшли й намагались йти, щоб перебігти землю. І він сказав: «Ідіть, пройдіте землю!» І вони пройшли землю.

8

Then the LORD summoned me and said, “Look, those who went north have vented the anger of my Spiritc there in the land of the north.”

Тоді він гукнув до мене й сказав до мене: «Дивись! Ті, що йдуть у край на північ, заспокоїли дух мій у краю на півночі.»

The Crowning of Jeshua

Then I received another message from the LORD:

І надійшло до мене таке слово Господнє:

“Heldai, Tobijah, and Jedaiah will bring gifts of silver and gold from the Jews exiled in Babylon. As soon as they arrive, meet them at the home of Josiah son of Zephaniah.

«Візьми в тих, що прибули з неволі, у Хелдая, у Товії та у Єдаї, що прийшли з Вавилону, і прийди того ж дня і ввійди в дім Йосії, сина Цефанії.

11

Accept their gifts, and make a crown from the silver and gold. Then put the crown on the head of Jeshuad son of Jehozadak, the high priest.

Візьми срібла та золота й зроби вінець, і поклади на голову Ісусові, синові Йоцадака, первосвященикові,

12

Tell him, ‘This is what the LORD of Heaven’s Armies says: Here is the man called the Branch. He will branch out from where he is and build the Temple of the LORD.

і скажи йому: Так говорить Господь сил: Ось муж, ім'я йому Пагін. Він виженеться на своїм місці й відбудує храм Господній.

13

Yes, he will build the Temple of the LORD. Then he will receive royal honor and will rule as king from his throne. He will also serve as priest from his throne,e and there will be perfect harmony between his two roles.’

Він відбудує храм Господній і він правитиме на своїм престолі. І перед його престолом буде священик, і між обома ними буде рада миру.

14

“The crown will be a memorial in the Temple of the LORD to honor those who gave it — Heldai,f Tobijah, Jedaiah, and Josiahg son of Zephaniah.”

І вінці будуть для Хелдая, для Товії, для Єдаї та Хена, сина Цефанії, на спомин у Господнім храмі.

People will come from distant lands to rebuild the Temple of the LORD. And when this happens, you will know that my messages have been from the LORD of Heaven’s Armies. All this will happen if you carefully obey what the LORD your God says.

І ті, що далеко перебувають, прийдуть і будуватимуть Господній храм, і ви зрозумієте, що Господь сил послав мене до вас. І це станеться, коли ви пильно слухатимете голосу Господа, Бога вашого.»
