Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the old heaven and the old earth had disappeared. And the sea was also gone.

And I saw the holy city, the new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven like a bride beautifully dressed for her husband.
І я побачив святе місто, новий Єрусалим, що сходив з неба від Бога, приготований, немов наречена, прикрашена для свого чоловіка.
І почув я гучний голос із престолу, що промовляв: Ось Божа оселя з людьми; і Він поселиться з ними, і вони будуть Його народом, і сам Бог буде з ними — їхній Бог;
He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. All these things are gone forever.”
і Він обітре кожну сльозу з їхніх очей, і більше не буде смерті, ні страждань, ні голосіння, ні болю, — вже більше не буде, тому що перше минулося.
And the one sitting on the throne said, “Look, I am making everything new!” And then he said to me, “Write this down, for what I tell you is trustworthy and true.”
І сказав Той, Хто сидить на престолі: Ось творю все нове! І каже: Напиши, бо ці слова правдиві й вірні!
And he also said, “It is finished! I am the Alpha and the Omega — the Beginning and the End. To all who are thirsty I will give freely from the springs of the water of life.
І Він сказав мені: Звершилося! Я є Альфа й Омега, Початок і Кінець. Я спраглому дам задаром живої води з джерела.
All who are victorious will inherit all these blessings, and I will be their God, and they will be my children.
Переможець успадкує все, і Я буду його Богом, а він буде Мені сином.
“But cowards, unbelievers, the corrupt, murderers, the immoral, those who practice witchcraft, idol worshipers, and all liars — their fate is in the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death.”
А лякливим і невірним, і нечистим, і вбивцям, і тим, які чинять розпусту та чари, ідолопоклонникам і всім неправдомовцям — їхня частка в озері, яке горить вогнем і сіркою, що є другою смертю.
Then one of the seven angels who held the seven bowls containing the seven last plagues came and said to me, “Come with me! I will show you the bride, the wife of the Lamb.”
І прийшов один із сімох ангелів, який мав сім чаш, наповнених сімома останніми карами, та й промовив до мене, кажучи: Підійди сюди, я покажу тобі наречену, дружину Агнця.
І повів мене духом на велику й високу гору, і показав мені [велике] святе місто Єрусалим, що сходило з неба від Бога,
It shone with the glory of God and sparkled like a precious stone — like jasper as clear as crystal.
маючи Божу славу. Його сяйво подібне до коштовного каменя, наче каменя яшми, чистого, як кришталь.
The city wall was broad and high, with twelve gates guarded by twelve angels. And the names of the twelve tribes of Israel were written on the gates.
Воно має великий та високий мур, в якому дванадцять брам, а на брамах дванадцять ангелів і написані імена — імена дванадцятьох племен синів Ізраїля.
There were three gates on each side — east, north, south, and west.

The wall of the city had twelve foundation stones, and on them were written the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.

The angel who talked to me held in his hand a gold measuring stick to measure the city, its gates, and its wall.

А місто чотирикутне, і довжина його така, як і ширина. І виміряв він тростиною місто на дванадцять тисяч стадій [1]. Його довжина, ширина і висота — рівні.

The wall was made of jasper, and the city was pure gold, as clear as glass.
І [був] збудований його мур з яшми, а місто — із чистого золота, подібного до чистого скла.

the fifth onyx, the sixth carnelian, the seventh chrysolite, the eighth beryl, the ninth topaz, the tenth chrysoprase, the eleventh jacinth, the twelfth amethyst.
п’ята — сардонікс, шоста — сердолік, сьома — хризоліт, восьма — берил, дев’ята — топаз, десята — хризопраз, одинадцята — гіацинт, дванадцята — аметист.
The twelve gates were made of pearls — each gate from a single pearl! And the main street was pure gold, as clear as glass.
А дванадцять брам — то дванадцять перлин, і кожна брама була з однієї перлини. Вулиці міста — чисте золото, прозоре, мов скло.
I saw no temple in the city, for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple.
А храму я не бачив у ньому, бо Господь Бог, Вседержитель і Агнець — то його храм.
And the city has no need of sun or moon, for the glory of God illuminates the city, and the Lamb is its light.
І місто не потребує ні сонця, ні місяця, щоб у ньому світили, тому що Божа слава освітила його, і світильником для нього є Агнець.
The nations will walk in its light, and the kings of the world will enter the city in all their glory.
І народи ходитимуть у його світлі, і царі землі принесуть свою славу до нього.
Its gates will never be closed at the end of day because there is no night there.
І його брами не зачинятимуться вдень, а ночі там не буде.
And all the nations will bring their glory and honor into the city.
І принесуть до нього славу та честь народів.
