Genesis 49

    Иаков вызвал своих сыновей и сказал:
    — Соберитесь вокруг, и я поведаю, что станет с вами в грядущие дни.

    Jacob Blesses his Sons

    And Jacob called his sons, and said, Gather yourselves together, and I will tell you what will befall you at the end of days.

    Соберитесь и слушайте, сыновья Иакова,
    внимайте своему отцу Израилю.

    Assemble yourselves, and hear, ye sons of Jacob, And listen to Israel your father.

    Рувим, ты — мой первенец, моя мощь,
    первый плод моей силы мужской,
    первый по праву, первый по силе.

    Reuben, thou art my firstborn, My might, and the firstfruits of my vigour: Excellency of dignity, and excellency of strength.

    Непостоянный, как вода, ты больше не будешь первым,
    потому что ты возлег на постель своего отца
    и осквернил мое ложе.

    Impetuous as the waters, thou shalt have no pre-eminence; Because thou wentest up to thy father's couch: Then defiledst thou [it]: he went up to my bed.

    их мечи231 — орудие насилия.

    Simeon and Levi are brethren: Instruments of violence their swords.

    Да не буду я участвовать в их замыслах,
    да не присоединюсь к их собранию,
    потому что они убивали мужчин в своем гневе
    и подрезали жилы быкам по своей прихоти.

    My soul, come not into their council; Mine honour, be not united with their assembly; For in their anger they slew men, And in their wantonness houghed oxen.

    Проклят их гнев, потому что свиреп,
    и ярость их, потому что она жестока!
    Я разбросаю их среди потомков Иакова
    и рассею их в Израиле.

    Cursed be their anger, for it [was] violent; And their rage, for it [was] cruel! I will divide them in Jacob, And scatter them in Israel.

    Иуда, твои братья восхвалят тебя,232
    рука твоя будет на шее твоих врагов,
    сыновья твоего отца будут кланяться тебе.

    Judah -- [as to] thee, thy brethren will praise thee; Thy hand will be upon the neck of thine enemies; Thy father's children will bow down to thee.

    Ты — молодой лев, Иуда;
    ты возвращаешься с добычи, мой сын.
    Как лев, он припадает к земле и ложится,
    как львица — кто осмелится его потревожить?

    Judah is a young lion; From the prey, my son, thou art gone up. He stoopeth, he layeth himself down as a lion, And as a lioness: who will rouse him up?

    Скипетр не покинет Иуду,
    и потомки его всегда будут держать жезл правителей,
    пока не придет Тот, Кому он принадлежит,233
    Тот, Кому покорятся все народы.234

    The scepter will not depart from Judah, Nor the lawgiver from between his feet, Until Shiloh come, And to him will be the obedience of peoples.

    Он привяжет своего осла к виноградной лозе,
    своего осленка — к лучшей ветке;
    Он омоет одежды свои в вине,
    одеяние свое — в крови винограда.

    He bindeth his foal to the vine, And his ass's colt to the choice vine; He washeth his dress in wine, And his garment in the blood of grapes.

    Глаза его будут темнее вина,
    зубы его — молока белее.235

    The eyes are red with wine, And the teeth [are] white with milk.
  • 13

    Завулон будет жить у морского побережья
    и будет гаванью для кораблей;
    его границы протянутся до Сидона.

    Zebulun will dwell at the shore of the seas; Yea, he will be at the shore of the ships, And his side [toucheth] upon Sidon.

    Иссахар — крепкий236 осел,
    лежащий между двумя седельными вьюками.

    Issachar is a bony ass, Crouching down between two hurdles.

    Увидев, как хорошо его место отдыха
    и как приятна его земля,
    он пригнет свои плечи под бремя
    и покорится подневольному труду.

    And he saw the rest that it was good, And the land that it was pleasant; And he bowed his shoulder to bear, And was a tributary servant.

    Дан будет судить свой народ237
    как один из родов Израиля.

    Dan will judge his people, As another of the tribes of Israel.

    Дан будет змеем у дорожной обочины,
    гадюкой на тропе,
    которая кусает коня за ногу,
    так что всадник его падает навзничь.

    Dan will be a serpent on the way, A horned snake on the path, Which biteth the horse's heels, So that the rider falleth backwards.

    О Господь, у Тебя ищу я избавления!

    I wait for thy salvation, O Jehovah.

    Гада будут грабить грабители,
    но он будет грабить их по пятам.238

    Gad -- troops will rush upon him; But he will rush upon the heel.

    Пища Асира будет изобильна;
    он будет поставлять лакомства, достойные царя.

    Out of Asher, his bread shall be fat, And he will give royal dainties.

    Неффалим — выпущенная на свободу лань,

    Naphtali is a hind let loose; He giveth goodly words.

    Иосиф — плодородная виноградная лоза,
    плодородная лоза близ источника,

    Joseph is a fruitful bough; A fruitful bough by a well; [His] branches shoot over the wall.

    С ожесточением лучники нападали на него,
    они стреляли в него со враждой.

    The archers have provoked him, And shot at, and hated him;

    Но лук его остался упругим,
    его сильные руки остались241 гибкими
    от руки Мощного Иакова,
    от Пастыря, Скалы Израиля,

    But his bow abideth firm, And the arms of his hands are supple By the hands of the Mighty One of Jacob. From thence is the shepherd, the stone of Israel:

    от Бога твоего отца, Который помогает тебе,
    от Всемогущего,242 Который благословляет тебя
    благословениями небес наверху,
    благословениями бездны, которая лежит внизу,
    благословениями сосков и утробы.

    From the God of thy father, and he will help thee; And from the Almighty, and he will bless thee -- With blessings of heaven from above, With blessings of the deep that lieth under, With blessings of the breast and of the womb.

    Благословения твоего отца
    превосходят благословения древних гор,
    щедрость243 древних холмов.
    Да будут все они на голове Иосифа,
    на челе князя между своими братьями.244

    The blessings of thy father surpass the blessings of my ancestors, Unto the bounds of the everlasting hills: They shall be on the head of Joseph, And on the crown of the head of him that was separated from his brethren.

    Вениамин — прожорливый волк;
    утром он пожирает добычу,
    вечером делит награбленное добро.

    Benjamin -- [as] a wolf will he tear to pieces; In the morning he will devour the prey, And in the evening he will divide the booty.

    Вот каковы двенадцать родов Израиля, и вот что сказал им отец, благословляя их; каждого он наделил подобающим благословением.

    All these are the twelve tribes of Israel, and this is what their father spoke to them; and he blessed them: every one according to his blessing he blessed them.

    The Death of Jacob

    And he charged them, and said to them, I am gathered to my people: bury me with my fathers in the cave that is in the field of Ephron the Hittite,

    in the cave that is in the field of Machpelah, which is opposite to Mamre, in the land of Canaan, which Abraham bought of Ephron the Hittite along with the field for a possession of a sepulchre.

    There they buried Abraham and Sarah his wife; there they buried Isaac and Rebecca his wife; and there I buried Leah.

    And when Jacob had made an end of commanding his sons, he gathered his feet into the bed, and expired, and was gathered to his peoples.
