    A Tent for the Ark

    So they brought the ark of God, and set it in the midst of the tent that David had pitched for it: and they offered burnt sacrifices and peace offerings before God.

    And when David had made an end of offering the burnt offerings and the peace offerings, he blessed the people in the name of the LORD.

    And he dealt to every one of Israel, both man and woman, to every one a loaf of bread, and a good piece of flesh, and a flagon of wine.

    Benaiah also and Jahaziel the priests with trumpets continually before the ark of the covenant of God.

    David's Psalm of Thanksgiving

    Then on that day David delivered first this psalm to thank the LORD into the hand of Asaph and his brethren.

    Благодарите Господа, призывайте Его имя;
    возвещайте среди народов о Его делах.

    Give thanks unto the LORD, call upon his name, make known his deeds among the people.

    Воспойте Ему, пойте Ему хвалу,
    рассказывайте о всех Его чудесах.

    Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him, talk ye of all his wondrous works.

    Хвалитесь Его святым именем;
    пусть веселятся сердца ищущих Господа.

    Glory ye in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek the LORD.

    Ищите Господа и силу Его,
    ищите лица Его всегда.

    Seek the LORD and his strength, seek his face continually.

    знамения Его и суды, что Он произнес.

    Remember his marvellous works that he hath done, his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth;

    О потомки Израиля, слуги Его,
    о сыновья Иакова, избранные Его.

    O ye seed of Israel his servant, ye children of Jacob, his chosen ones.

    Он — Господь, наш Бог;
    суды Его по всей земле.

    He is the LORD our God; his judgments are in all the earth.

    Помните: вечен Его завет —
    слово, данное Им для тысяч поколений, —

    Be ye mindful always of his covenant; the word which he commanded to a thousand generations;

    завет, что Он заключил с Авраамом,
    и клятву Его Исааку.

    Even of the covenant which he made with Abraham, and of his oath unto Isaac;

    Утвердил Он это Иакову в Закон
    и Израилю вечным заветом,

    And hath confirmed the same to Jacob for a law, and to Israel for an everlasting covenant,

    сказав: «Я отдам тебе ханаанскую землю
    в удел твоего наследия».

    Saying, Unto thee will I give the land of Canaan, the lot of your inheritance;

    Когда они были малочисленны
    и незначительны, и были чужеземцами на этой земле,

    When ye were but few, even a few, and strangers in it.

    то скитались от народа к народу
    и из царства в царство.

    And when they went from nation to nation, and from one kingdom to another people;

    Он никому не давал их притеснять
    и укорял за них царей:

    He suffered no man to do them wrong: yea, he reproved kings for their sakes,

    «Не трогайте помазанников Моих
    и пророкам Моим не делайте зла».

    Saying, Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm.

    Воспойте Господу, вся земля,
    возвещайте о Его спасении каждый день.

    Sing unto the LORD, all the earth; shew forth from day to day his salvation.

    Возвещайте славу Его среди народов,
    чудеса Его — среди всех людей,

    Declare his glory among the heathen; his marvellous works among all nations.

    потому что велик Господь и достоин беспредельной хвалы;
    Он внушает страх более всех богов.

    For great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised: he also is to be feared above all gods.

    Все боги народов — идолы,
    а Господь сотворил небеса.

    For all the gods of the people are idols: but the LORD made the heavens.

    Слава и величие перед Ним,
    сила и радость на месте Его.

    Glory and honour are in his presence; strength and gladness are in his place.

    Воздайте Господу, народы,
    воздайте Ему славу и силу.

    Give unto the LORD, ye kindreds of the people, give unto the LORD glory and strength.

    Воздайте Господу славу, присущую Его имени.
    Несите дар, предстаньте пред Ним.
    Прославьте Господа в великолепии Его святости.94

    Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name: bring an offering, and come before him: worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness.

    Трепещи перед Ним, вся земля!
    Прочно мир утвержден — не поколеблется.

    Fear before him, all the earth: the world also shall be stable, that it be not moved.

    Да возвеселятся небеса и возликует земля,
    и пусть скажут среди народов: «Господь правит!»

    Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice: and let men say among the nations, The LORD reigneth.

    Да восшумит море и все, что в нем,
    пусть ликует поле и все, что на нем,

    Let the sea roar, and the fulness thereof: let the fields rejoice, and all that is therein.

    и да возликуют все деревья лесные,
    будут петь от радости перед Господом,
    ведь Он идет судить землю.

    Then shall the trees of the wood sing out at the presence of the LORD, because he cometh to judge the earth.

    Славьте Господа, потому что Он благ
    и милость Его навеки!

    O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever.

    Взывайте: «Спаси нас, Боже, Спаситель наш;
    собери нас, защити нас от народов,
    чтобы мы воздали благодарность
    Твоему святому имени
    и хвалились Твоей славой».

    And say ye, Save us, O God of our salvation, and gather us together, and deliver us from the heathen, that we may give thanks to thy holy name, and glory in thy praise.

    Прославлен будь, Господь, Бог Израиля,
    от века и до века!


    И весь народ сказал: «Аминь!»95 — и восславил Господа.

    Blessed be the LORD God of Israel for ever and ever. And all the people said, Amen, and praised the LORD.

    Давид оставил Асафа и его родственников перед ковчегом Господнего завета, чтобы они служили там постоянно, по потребностям каждого дня.

    Worship Before the Ark

    So he left there before the ark of the covenant of the LORD Asaph and his brethren, to minister before the ark continually, as every day's work required:

    Еще он оставил Овид-Эдома и шестьдесят восемь его родственников, чтобы они служили вместе с ними. Овид-Эдом, сын Идутуна, и Хоса были привратниками.

    And Obededom with their brethren, threescore and eight; Obededom also the son of Jeduthun and Hosah to be porters:

    Давид оставил священника Цадока и его собратьев-священников перед скинией Господа на возвышенности в Гаваоне,

    And Zadok the priest, and his brethren the priests, before the tabernacle of the LORD in the high place that was at Gibeon,

    чтобы они постоянно приносили Господу всесожжения на жертвеннике для всесожжений, утром и вечером, так, как написано в Законе Господа, который Он дал Израилю.96

    To offer burnt offerings unto the LORD upon the altar of the burnt offering continually morning and evening, and to do according to all that is written in the law of the LORD, which he commanded Israel;

    С ними были Еман и Идутун с прочими избранными, которые были назначены поименно, чтобы славить Господа ведь «милость Его навеки».

    And with them Heman and Jeduthun, and the rest that were chosen, who were expressed by name, to give thanks to the LORD, because his mercy endureth for ever;

    Еман и Идутун отвечали за игру на трубах и тарелках, а также на прочих музыкальных инструментах, когда пелись песни Богу. Сыновья Идутуна были поставлены у ворот.

    And with them Heman and Jeduthun with trumpets and cymbals for those that should make a sound, and with musical instruments of God. And the sons of Jeduthun were porters.

    Когда весь народ разошелся по домам, вернулся и Давид, чтобы благословить своих домашних.

    And all the people departed every man to his house: and David returned to bless his house.
