The Adultery of Oholah and Aholibah
And the word of Jehovah came unto me, saying,
And the word of Jehovah came unto me, saying,
— Сын человеческий, были две женщины, дочери одной матери.
Son of man, there were two women, daughters of one mother.
Они с юных лет были блудницами в Египте; в той земле им мяли груди и ласкали девственные соски.
And they committed whoredom in Egypt; they committed whoredom in their youth: there were their breasts pressed, and there were handled the teats of their virginity.
Старшую звали Огола,70 а ее сестру Оголива.71 Они были Моими и рожали сыновей и дочерей. Огола — это Самария, а Оголива — это Иерусалим.
And their names were Oholah the elder, and Oholibah her sister; and they were mine, and they bore sons and daughters. As for their names: Samaria is Oholah, and Jerusalem Oholibah.
Огола стала блудницей, когда еще была Моей. Она воспылала похотью к своим любовникам-ассирийцам: к воинам,
And Oholah played the harlot when she was mine; and she lusted after her lovers, after the Assyrians [her] neighbours,

clothed with blue, governors and rulers, all of them attractive young men, horsemen riding upon horses.
Она распутствовала с ассирийской знатью и осквернялась идолами тех, к кому загоралась похотью.
And she bestowed her whoredoms upon them, all of them the choice of the children of Asshur; and with all after whom she lusted, with all their idols she defiled herself.
Она не оставляла распутство, которое началось в Египте, когда во время ее юности любовники спали с ней, лаская ее соски и изливая на нее похоть.
Neither left she her whoredoms [brought] from Egypt; for in her youth they had lain with her, and had handled the breasts of her virginity, and poured their fornication upon her.
Поэтому Я отдал ее во власть ассирийцев, к которым она пылала похотью.
Therefore I gave her into the hand of her lovers, into the hand of the children of Asshur, after whom she lusted.
Они раздели ее донага, взяли ее сыновей и дочерей и убили ее мечом. Над ней был исполнен приговор, и она стала позором среди женщин.
These discovered her nakedness, they took her sons and her daughters, and slew her with the sword; and she became a name among women; and they executed judgment upon her.

And her sister Oholibah saw [this], and was more corrupt in her passion than she, and in her fornications more than the whoredoms of her sister.

She lusted after the children of Asshur [her] neighbours, governors and rulers, clothed most gorgeously, horsemen riding upon horses, all of them attractive young men.

And I saw that she was defiled: both took one way.
Но она предалась еще большему распутству. Она увидела мужчин, нарисованных на стене, изображения халдеев, запечатленных красной краской,
And she increased her fornications; for she saw men portrayed upon the wall, the images of the Chaldeans portrayed with vermilion,
с поясами на бедрах и роскошными повязками на головах, все они были похожи на вавилонских полководцев, уроженцев Халдеи.
girded with girdles upon their loins, with flowing turbans on their heads, all of them captains in appearance, [after] the likeness of the children of Babylon, of Chaldea, the land of their nativity.
Едва увидев их, она воспылала похотью и отправила к ним в Халдею послов.
And as soon as she saw them with her eyes, she lusted after them, and sent messengers unto them into Chaldea.
Вавилоняне пришли к ней на любовное ложе и осквернили ее своим блудом. Оскверненная, она отвернулась от них с отвращением.
And the children of Babylon came to her into the bed of love, and they defiled her with their fornication; she too defiled herself with them, and her soul was alienated from them.
Когда же она стала предаваться распутству открыто и обнажаться, Я отвернулся от нее с отвращением, как когда-то от ее сестры.
And she discovered her whoredoms, and discovered her nakedness; and my soul was alienated from her, like as my soul was alienated from her sister.
Но она становилась все более распутной, вспоминая дни юности, когда она была блудницей в Египте.
Yet she multiplied her whoredoms, calling to remembrance the days of her youth, wherein she played the harlot in the land of Egypt;
Там она вожделела своих любовников, чьи гениталии были, как у ослов, а извержение семени, как у жеребцов.
and she lusted after their paramours, whose flesh is [as] the flesh of asses, and whose issue is [as] the issue of horses.
Она тосковала по распутству юности, когда в Египте ласкали ее соски и мяли ее молодые груди.
And thou didst look back to the lewdness of thy youth, in the handling of thy teats by the Egyptians, for the breasts of thy youth.
Поэтому, Оголива, так говорит Владыка Господь: «Я настрою против тебя любовников, от которых ты отвернулась с отвращением, и поведу их на тебя отовсюду —
Aholibah to Be Plagued
Therefore, Oholibah, thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Behold, I will raise up thy lovers against thee, from whom thy soul is alienated, and I will bring them against thee on every side.

вавилонян и всех халдеев, жителей Пекода, Шоа и Коа, и с ними всех ассирийцев, красивых юношей, все они наместники и военачальники, полководцы и сановники, все — всадники на конях.
The children of Babylon, and all the Chaldeans, Pekod and Shoa and Koa, all the children of Asshur with them; all of them attractive young men, governors and rulers, great lords and renowned, all of them riding upon horses.
Они пойдут на тебя с оружием,72 колесницами и повозками и множеством народа. Они окружат тебя со всех сторон с большими и малыми щитами и в шлемах. Я доверю им судить тебя, и они будут судить тебя по своим законам.
And they shall come against thee [with] armour, chariots and wheels, and with an assemblage of peoples; they shall set themselves against thee [with] target, and shield, and helmet round about; and I will put judgment before them, and they shall judge thee according to their judgments.
Я обращу на тебя Свой ревнивый гнев, и они поступят с тобой в ярости. Они отрежут тебе нос и уши, а твои уцелевшие жители падут от меча. Они возьмут твоих сыновей и дочерей, а уцелевших поглотит огонь.
And I will set my jealousy against thee, and they shall deal furiously with thee: they shall cut off thy nose and thine ears, and thy remnant shall fall by the sword; they shall take thy sons and thy daughters; and thy residue shall be devoured by the fire.
Они сорвут с тебя одежды и отнимут твои прекрасные драгоценности.
They shall also strip the of thy garments, and take away thy fair jewels.
Я положу конец распутству и разврату, которым ты предавалась в Египте. Ты больше не будешь ни тосковать о них, ни вспоминать Египет.
And I will make thy lewdness to cease from thee, and thy whoredom [brought] from the land of Egypt; and thou shalt not lift up thine eyes unto them, nor remember Egypt any more.
Ведь так говорит Владыка Господь: Смотри, Я отдаю тебя во власть тех, кого ты ненавидишь, тех, от кого ты отвернулась с отвращением.
For thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Behold, I will give thee over into the hand of them whom thou hatest, into the hand of them from whom thy soul is alienated.
Ненавидя тебя, они отнимут все, ради чего ты трудилась. Они бросят тебя нагой, непокрытой, и откроется весь срам твоего распутства. Твои бесстыдство и разврат
And they shall deal with thee in hatred, and shall take away all thy labour, and shall leave thee naked and bare; so that the nakedness of thy whoredoms shall be discovered, both thy lewdness and thy fornications.
довели тебя до этого, потому что ты распутничала с народами и осквернялась их идолами.
These things shall be done unto thee, because thou hast gone a whoring after the nations, because thou hast defiled thyself with their idols.
Ты пошла по пути твоей сестры, и Я дам тебе в руки ее чашу».
Thou hast walked in the way of thy sister; and I have given her cup into thy hand.
Так говорит Владыка Господь:
«Ты выпьешь чашу сестры,
глубокую и широкую;
ты станешь посмешищем и позором:
чаша вмещает много.
Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Thou shalt drink of thy sister's cup deep and large; thou shalt be for a laughing-stock and a derision, [for] it containeth much.
Ты будешь полна хмеля и горя,
выпив чашу гибели и разорения —
чашу твоей сестры Самарии.
Thou shalt be filled with drunkenness and sorrow, with the cup of astonishment and desolation, the cup of thy sister Samaria;
Ты будешь пить ее и осушишь;
разобьешь ее на куски
и будешь терзать себе грудь.
Я так сказал», — возвещает Владыка Господь.
thou shalt even drink it and suck it out, and thou shalt gnaw the sherds thereof, and pluck off thine own breasts: for I have spoken [it], saith the Lord Jehovah.
Поэтому так говорит Владыка Господь: «Так как ты забыла Меня и повернулась ко Мне спиной, то терпи за свои похоть и распутство».
Therefore thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Because thou hast forgotten me, and cast me behind thy back, therefore bear thou also thy lewdness and thy fornications.
Господь сказал мне:
— Сын человеческий, будешь ли судить Оголу и Оголиву? Тогда укажи им на их омерзительные дела.

Judgment on Both Sisters
And Jehovah said unto me, Son of man, wilt thou judge Oholah and Oholibah? yea, declare unto them their abominations.
And Jehovah said unto me, Son of man, wilt thou judge Oholah and Oholibah? yea, declare unto them their abominations.
Ведь они нарушали супружескую верность, и руки у них в крови. Они распутствовали с идолами, и даже детей, которых они Мне родили, они приносили идолам в огненную жертву как пищу.
For they have committed adultery, and blood is in their hands; and with their idols have they committed adultery, and have also passed over unto them their children, whom they bore unto me, to be devoured.
Вот что они Мне сделали еще: в тот же день они оскверняли Мое святилище и нарушали субботы.
Moreover this have they done unto me: in the same day have they defiled my sanctuary and profaned my sabbaths.
В тот же день, когда они приносили детей в жертву идолам, они входили в Мое святилище и оскверняли его. Вот что они делали в Моем доме.
For when they had slaughtered their children unto their idols, they came the same day into my sanctuary to profane it; and behold, thus have they done in the midst of my house.
Они даже посылали за людьми, которые приходили издалека, и когда те появлялись, ты мылась для них, подводила глаза и надевала драгоценности.
And furthermore, they sent for men to come from far, unto whom a messenger was sent; and behold, they came: for whom thou didst wash thyself, paintedst thine eyes, and deckedst thyself with ornaments;
Ты садилась на красивое ложе, перед которым накрывался стол, и ставила на него Мои благовония и масло.
and satest upon a stately bed, with a table prepared before it, whereupon thou hadst set mine incense and mine oil.
У нее раздавались крики праздной толпы. Севеян73 из пустыни приводили вместе с чернью, и те надевали браслеты на руки этой женщине и ее сестре и возлагали прекрасные венцы им на головы.
And the voice of a multitude living carelessly was with her; and with people of the common sort were brought Sabeans from the wilderness, and they put bracelets upon their hands, and a beautiful crown upon their heads.
Тогда Я сказал об истощенной от распутства: «Пусть они обходятся с ней как с блудницей, потому что она такая и есть».
And I said of her that was old in adulteries, Will she now commit her fornications, even she.
И они спали с ней. Они спали с этими блудницами, Оголой и Оголивой, как спят с блудницами.
And they went in unto her, as they go in unto a whorish woman: so went they in unto Oholah and unto Oholibah the lewd women.
Но праведники определят им наказание как женщинам, которые изменяют и проливают кровь, потому что они вероломны, и руки у них в крови.
And righteous men, they shall judge them with the judgment of adulteresses, and with the judgment of women that shed blood; for they are adulteresses, and blood is in their hands.
Так говорит Владыка Господь: «Собери против них толпу и предай их ужасу и грабежу.
For thus saith the Lord Jehovah: I will bring up an assemblage against them, and will give them to be driven hither and thither and spoiled.
Толпа побьет их камнями и изрубит мечами; их сыновья и дочери будут убиты, а дома сожжены.
And the assemblage shall stone them with stones, and despatch them with their swords; they shall kill their sons and their daughters, and burn their houses with fire.
Так Я положу конец разврату в стране, чтобы женщины остереглись и не подражали вам.
And I will cause lewdness to cease out of the land, and all women shall receive instruction and shall not do according to your lewdness.
