и сказал: сохрани меня Господь, чтоб я сделал это! не кровь ли это людей, ходивших с опасностью собственной жизни? И не захотел пить её. Вот что сделали эти трое храбрых!

Давид сказал: "Господи, я не могу пить эту воду. Разве это не кровь людей, которые ради меня рисковали своей жизнью?" И не захотел Давид пить эту воду. Эти три героя совершили ещё много подвигов, подобных этому. -
— Сохрани меня, Господи, сделать это! — сказал он. — Разве я стану пить кровь людей, которые рисковали своей жизнью?!
И он не стал пить. Такие подвиги совершили трое этих воинов. -
кажучи: “Далеким хай воно буде від мене, Господи, щоб я таке вчинив! Чи це ж не кров мужів, що важили своїм життям?” І не хотів він її пити. Ось таке доказали ці три витязі.

And he said, Be it far from me, O LORD, that I should do this: is not this the blood of the men that went in jeopardy of their lives? therefore he would not drink it. These things did these three mighty men.

“Far be it from me, Lord, to do this!” he said. “Is it not the blood of men who went at the risk of their lives?” And David would not drink it.
Such were the exploits of the three mighty warriors. -
