Когда объявлено было повеление царя и указ его, и когда собраны были многие девицы в престольный город Сузы под надзор Гегая, тогда взята была и Есфирь в царский дом под надзор Гегая, стража жён.

Когда царский указ был объявлен, много девушек было привезено в столичный город Сузы. Этих девушек отдали под надзор Гегая, Есфирь была одной из них. Её тоже взяли в царские палаты под надзор Гегая, который отвечал за царских жён. -
После того как царская воля и указ были объявлены во всеуслышание, в крепость Сузы привели и отдали под надзор Гегая множество девушек. Есфирь тоже была взята в царский дворец и отдана под надзор Гегая, смотрителя гарема.

Esther Finds Favor
So it came to pass, when the king's commandment and his decree was heard, and when many maidens were gathered together unto Shushan the palace, to the custody of Hegai, that Esther was brought also unto the king's house, to the custody of Hegai, keeper of the women. -

When the king’s order and edict had been proclaimed, many young women were brought to the citadel of Susa and put under the care of Hegai. Esther also was taken to the king’s palace and entrusted to Hegai, who had charge of the harem. -

As a result of the king’s decree, Esther, along with many other young women, was brought to the king’s harem at the fortress of Susa and placed in Hegai’s care.
