O Lord, My God, You Are Very Great
Bless Jehovah, O my soul! Jehovah my God, thou art very great; thou art clothed with majesty and splendour;

воспойте Ему и пойте Ему; поведайте о всех чудесах Его.
Covering thyself with light as with a garment, stretching out the heavens like a tent-curtain; --
Хвалитесь именем Его святым; да веселится сердце ищущих Господа.
Who layeth the beams of his upper chambers in the waters, who maketh clouds his chariot, who walketh upon the wings of the wind;
Ищите Господа и силы Его, ищите лица Его всегда.
Who maketh his angels spirits; his ministers a flame of fire.
Воспоминайте чудеса Его, которые сотворил, знамения Его и суды уст Его,
He laid the earth upon its foundations: it shall not be removed for ever.
вы, семя Авраамово, рабы Его, сыны Иакова, избранные Его.
Thou hadst covered it with the deep, as with a vesture; the waters stood above the mountains:
Он Господь Бог наш: по всей земле суды Его.
At thy rebuke they fled, at the voice of thy thunder they hasted away; --
Вечно помнит завет Свой, слово, которое заповедал в тысячу родов,
The mountains rose, the valleys sank, unto the place which thou hadst founded for them; --
которое завещал Аврааму, и клятву Свою Исааку,
Thou hast set a bound which they may not pass over, that they turn not again to cover the earth.
и поставил то Иакову в закон и Израилю в завет вечный,
He sendeth the springs into the valleys: they run among the mountains;
говоря: «тебе дам землю Ханаанскую в удел наследия вашего».
They give drink to every beast of the field; the wild asses quench their thirst.
Когда их было ещё мало числом, очень мало, и они были пришельцами в ней
The birds of heaven dwell by them; they give forth their voice from among the branches.
и переходили от народа к народу, из царства к иному племени,
He watereth the mountains from his upper-chambers: the earth is satisfied with the fruit of thy works.
никому не позволял обижать их и возбранял о них царям:
He maketh the grass to grow for the cattle, and herb for the service of man; bringing forth bread out of the earth,
«не прикасайтесь к помазанным Моим, и пророкам Моим не делайте зла».
And wine which gladdeneth the heart of man; making [his] face shine with oil; and with bread he strengtheneth man's heart.
И призвал голод на землю; всякий стебель хлебный истребил.
The trees of Jehovah are satisfied, the cedars of Lebanon, which he hath planted,
Послал пред ними человека: в рабы продан был Иосиф.
Where the birds make their nests; [as for] the stork, the fir trees are her house.
Стеснили оковами ноги его; в железо вошла душа его,
The high mountains are for the wild goats; the cliffs, a refuge for the rock-badgers.
доколе исполнилось слово Его: слово Господне испытало его.
He made the moon for seasons: the sun knoweth its going down.
Послал царь, и разрешил его владетель народов и освободил его;
Thou makest darkness, and it is night, wherein all the beasts of the forest creep forth:
поставил его господином над домом своим и правителем над всем владением своим,
The young lions roar after the prey, and to seek their food from God.
чтобы он наставлял вельмож его по своей душе и старейшин его учил мудрости.
The sun ariseth, they retreat, and lay them down in their dens.
Тогда пришёл Израиль в Египет, и переселился Иаков в землю Хамову.
Man goeth forth unto his work, and to his labour until the evening.
И весьма размножил Бог народ Свой и сделал его сильнее врагов его.
How manifold are thy works, O Jehovah! in wisdom hast thou made them all: the earth is full of thy riches.
Возбудил в сердце их ненависть против народа Его и ухищрение против рабов Его.
Yonder is the great and wide sea: therein are moving things innumerable, living creatures small and great.
Послал Моисея, раба Своего, Аарона, которого избрал.
There go the ships; [there] that leviathan, which thou hast formed to play therein.
Они показали между ними слова знамений Его и чудеса Его в земле Хамовой.
These all look unto thee, that thou mayest give their food in its season:
Послал тьму и сделал мрак, и не воспротивились слову Его.
That thou givest unto them, they gather; thou openest thy hand, they are filled with good.
Преложил воду их в кровь, и уморил рыбу их.
Thou hidest thy face, they are troubled; thou takest away their breath, they expire and return to their dust.
Земля их произвела множество жаб даже в спальне царей их.
Thou sendest forth thy spirit, they are created, and thou renewest the face of the earth.
Он сказал, и пришли разные насекомые, скнипы во все пределы их.
The glory of Jehovah will endure for ever; Jehovah will rejoice in his works.
Вместо дождя послал на них град, палящий огонь на землю их,
He looketh on the earth, and it trembleth; he toucheth the mountains, and they smoke.
и побил виноград их и смоковницы их, и сокрушил дерева в пределах их.
I will sing unto Jehovah as long as I live; I will sing psalms to my God while I have my being.
Сказал, и пришла саранча и гусеницы без числа;
My meditation shall be pleasant unto him; I will rejoice in Jehovah.
