И пошли сыны Израилевы, и плакали пред Господом до вечера, и вопрошали Господа: вступать ли мне ещё в сражение с сынами Вениамина, брата моего? Господь сказал: идите против него.

И пошли сыны Израилевы и плакали перед Господом до вечера. Они спрашивали у Господа: "Должны ли мы ещё раз сразиться с сынами Вениамина? Они наши родственники". Господь ответил: "Идите и сразитесь с ними". -
Израильтяне пошли, плакали перед Господом до самого вечера и спрашивали Господа. Они сказали:
— Идти ли нам опять сражаться с нашими братьями вениамитянами?
Господь ответил:
— Идите против них. -
бо коли вони пішли були й стали плакати перед Господом у Бетелі до вечора й питали в Господа: “Чи виступати нам знову на синів Веніямина, нашого брата?” — Господь відказав: “Виступайте проти нього!”

(And the children of Israel went up and wept before the LORD until even, and asked counsel of the LORD, saying, Shall I go up again to battle against the children of Benjamin my brother? And the LORD said, Go up against him.)

The Lord answered, “Go up against them.” -

І пішли ізраїльські сини, і плакали перед Господом аж до вечора, і звернулися до Господа, запитуючи: Чи продовжуватиму зближатися в битві з Веніаміном, моїм братом? А Господь сказав: Підете проти нього!

Then the children of Israel went up and wept before the Lord until evening, and asked counsel of the Lord, saying, “Shall I again draw near for battle against the children of my brother Benjamin?”
And the Lord said, “Go up against him.” -

Набрав тодї духа народ Ізраїльський, та й стали до бою знов на тому ж місцї в порядку боєвому, -
І ввійшли Ізраїлеві сини до Бет-Елу, та й плакали перед Господнім лицем аж до вечора. І питалися вони Господа, говорячи: „Чи далі піду́ я на бій з синами Веніямина, мого брата?“ І сказав Господь: „Ідіть на нього!“

For they had gone up to Bethel and wept in the presence of the LORD until evening. They had asked the LORD, “Should we fight against our relatives from Benjamin again?”
And the LORD had said, “Go out and fight against them.” -
