Abram Named Abraham
And Abram was ninety-nine years old, when Jehovah appeared to Abram, and said to him, I [am] the Almighty God: walk before my face, and be perfect.

And I will set my covenant between me and thee, and will very greatly multiply thee.
Тогда Аврам склонился перед Богом, и Бог сказал ему:
And Abram fell on his face; and God talked with him, saying,
"Вот Моя часть соглашения: Я сделаю тебя отцом множества народов.
It is I: behold, my covenant is with thee, and thou shalt be a father of a multitude of nations.
Я изменю твоё имя: твоё имя будет не Аврам, а Авраам, ибо Я сделаю тебя отцом множества народов.
And thy name shall no more be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; for a father of a multitude of nations have I made thee.
Я дам тебе великую награду — от тебя пойдут новые народы, и произойдут цари.
And I will make thee exceedingly fruitful, and I will make nations of thee, and kings shall come out of thee.
И подготовлю соглашение между Мною и тобой, которое будет для всех твоих потомков вечным соглашением. Я буду Богом твоим и потомков твоих
And I will establish my covenant between me and thee, and thy seed after thee in their generations, for an everlasting covenant, to be a God to thee, and to thy seed after thee.
и отдам тебе землю, по которой ты кочуешь, землю Ханаанскую. Эту землю Я отдам тебе и твоим потомкам навечно; и буду вашим Богом".
And I give to thee, and to thy seed after thee, the land of thy sojourning, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession; and I will be a God to them.
И сказал Бог Аврааму: "А вот твоя часть соглашения: ты и твои потомки будете соблюдать Моё соглашение.
The Covenant of Circumcision
And God said to Abraham, And [as for] thee, thou shalt keep my covenant, thou and thy seed after thee in their generations.

Вот соглашение, которое ты будешь соблюдать, между Мною и тобой, соглашение для всех твоих потомков:
This is my covenant which ye shall keep, between me and you and thy seed after thee -- that every male among you be circumcised.
каждому новорожденному мальчику должно быть сделано обрезание. Вы будете подрезать кожу в знак того, что соблюдаете соглашение между Мною и вами.
And ye shall circumcise the flesh of your foreskin; and [that] shall be a sign of the covenant between me and you.
Когда мальчикам будет исполняться восемь дней, вы будете делать им обрезание. Каждому мальчику, родившемуся у вас, и каждому мальчику, который будет вашим рабом, должно быть сделано обрезание.
And at eight days old shall every male in your generations be circumcised among you -- he who is born in the house, and he who is bought with money, any stranger who is not of thy seed.

He who is born in thy house, and he who is bought with thy money, must be circumcised; and my covenant shall be in your flesh for an everlasting covenant.
Всякий мужчина, которому не будет сделано обрезание, будет отвергнут своим народом, ибо этот человек нарушил соглашение".
And the uncircumcised male who hath not been circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin, that soul shall be cut off from his peoples: he hath broken my covenant.
Бог сказал Аврааму: "Я дам твоей жене Саре новое имя. Её новое имя будет Сарра.
And God said to Abraham, [As to] Sarai thy wife, thou shalt not call her name Sarai, but Sarah shall be her name.
Я благословлю её и дам ей сына, отцом которого будешь ты. Она станет матерью множества новых народов, и от неё произойдут их цари".
And I will bless her, and I will give thee a son also of her; and I will bless her, and she shall become nations: kings of peoples shall be of her.
Авраам пал ниц, но про себя рассмеялся и сказал: "Мне 100 лет, у меня не может быть сына, да и Сарре 90 лет, и у неё не может быть ребёнка".
And Abraham fell on his face and laughed, and said in his heart, Shall [a child] be born to him that is a hundred years old? and shall Sarah, who is ninety years old, bear?
Тогда Авраам сказал Богу: "Я надеюсь, что Измаил будет жить и служить Тебе".
And Abraham said to God, Oh that Ishmael might live before thee!
"Нет, — ответил Бог. — Я сказал, что у твоей жены Сарры будет сын, и ты назовёшь его Исааком. Я заключу с ним Своё соглашение, и это соглашение будет вечным соглашением для всех его потомков.
And God said, Sarah thy wife shall indeed bear thee a son; and thou shalt call his name Isaac; and I will establish my covenant with him, for an everlasting covenant for his seed after him.
Я слышал, что Ты упомянул Измаила. Я благословлю его, и у него будет множество детей. Он будет отцом двенадцати великих вождей, и семья его станет великим народом.
And for Ishmael I have heard thee: behold, I will bless him, and will make him fruitful, and will very greatly multiply him; twelve princes shall he beget, and I will make him a great nation.
Но соглашение Я заключу с Исааком, с тем сыном, который родится у Сарры в это самое время на будущий год".
But my covenant will I establish with Isaac, whom Sarah shall bear to thee at this appointed time in the next year.
Закончив разговор с Авраамом, Бог вознёсся.
And he left off talking with him; and God went up from Abraham.
Авраам взял Измаила, всех рабов, рождённых у него в доме, и всех рабов, купленных за деньги, собрал всех мужчин и всех мальчиков, и всем им было сделано обрезание. Всем им в тот же самый день было сделано обрезание, как повелел ему Бог.
And Abraham took Ishmael his son, and all who were born in his house, and all who were bought with his money -- every male among the people of Abraham's house -- and circumcised the flesh of their foreskin on that same day, as God had said to him.
Аврааму было 99 лет, когда ему было сделано обрезание.
And Abraham was ninety-nine years old when he was circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin.
А Измаилу, сыну его, было 13 лет, когда ему было сделано обрезание.
And Ishmael his son was thirteen years old when he was circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin.
Аврааму и его сыну обрезание было сделано в один и тот же день,
In the selfsame day was Abraham circumcised, and Ishmael his son;
