Когда Соломон закончил молиться, огонь сошёл с неба и поглотил жертву всесожжения и остальные жертвы, и слава Господня наполнила храм.

Fire from Heaven

And when Solomon had ended praying, the fire came down from the heavens and consumed the burnt-offering and the sacrifices; and the glory of Jehovah filled the house.

Священники не могли войти в храм Господа, ибо Слава Господня наполнила его.

And the priests could not enter into the house of Jehovah, because the glory of Jehovah filled Jehovah's house.

Весь народ Израиля видел огонь, сошедший с небес. Народ также видел славу Господню в храме. Они стали на колени перед помостом и поклонились до земли. Они прославляли Господа псаломом: "Славьте Господа, потому что Он добр и милость Его вовек".

And all the children of Israel saw how the fire came down, and the glory of Jehovah upon the house, and bowed themselves with their faces to the ground on the pavement, and worshipped and thanked Jehovah: For he is good, for his loving-kindness [endureth] for ever.

Затем царь Соломон и весь народ Израиля принесли жертвы перед Господом.

Solomon's Solemn Sacrifice

And the king and all the people offered sacrifices before Jehovah.

Царь Соломон принёс в жертву двадцать две тысячи волов и сто двадцать тысяч овец. Царь и весь народ освятили храм. Он предназначался только для поклонения Богу.

And king Solomon sacrificed a sacrifice of twenty-two thousand oxen, and a hundred and twenty thousand sheep. So the king and all the people dedicated the house of God.

Священники стояли на местах, готовые к службе, и у левитов были музыкальные инструменты, которые сделал царь Давид для прославления Господа. Они исполняли псалом "Славьте Господа, потому что Он добр, и милость Его вечна". Священники трубили в трубы, стоя напротив левитов. И весь народ Израиля стоял.

And the priests stood in their charges, and the Levites with Jehovah's instruments of music, which David the king had made to praise Jehovah, for his loving-kindness [endureth] for ever, when David praised by their means; and the priests sounded the trumpets opposite to them, and all Israel stood.

Соломон освятил и внутреннюю часть двора, которая находилась перед храмом Господа. Это было место, где Соломон приносил жертвы всесожжения и жир приношений содружества. Соломон использовал середину двора, потому что бронзовый алтарь, который он сделал, не мог вместить все жертвы всесожжения, хлебные приношения и жир, ибо приношений было много.

And Solomon hallowed the middle of the court that was before the house of Jehovah; for there he offered the burnt-offerings, and the fat of the peace-offerings, because the brazen altar which Solomon had made was not able to receive the burnt-offerings and the oblations and the fat.

Соломон и весь народ праздновали семь дней. С Соломоном было очень много людей. Эти люди пришли от входа в Емаф и до реки Египетской.

The Feast of Dedication

And at that time Solomon held the feast seven days, and all Israel with him, a very great congregation, from the entrance of Hamath unto the torrent of Egypt.

На восьмой день у них было священное собрание, так как они праздновали семь дней. Они освятили алтарь, который предназначался только для поклонения Господу, и празднование продолжалось семь дней.

And on the eighth day they held a solemn assembly; for they kept the dedication of the altar seven days, and the feast seven days.

10

На двадцать третий день седьмого месяца Соломон распустил народ по домам. Люди были очень счастливы, и сердца их были полны радости, потому что Господь был так добр к Давиду, к Соломону и к Своему народу Израилю.

And on the three and twentieth day of the seventh month he sent the people away to their tents, joyful and glad of heart for the goodness that Jehovah had done to David and to Solomon, and to Israel his people.

Соломон закончил храм Господа и царские палаты. Он успешно завершил всё, что задумал сделать в храме Господа и в своём доме.

God's Promise and Warning

And Solomon completed the house of Jehovah, and the king's house; and all that came into Solomon's heart to make in the house of Jehovah, and in his own house, he did prosperously.

12

А ночью Господь пришёл к Соломону и сказал ему: "Я слышал твою молитву и выбрал для Себя это место быть домом жертвоприношения.

Then Jehovah appeared to Solomon by night, and said to him: I have heard thy prayer, and I have chosen for myself this place for a house of sacrifice.

13

Если Я закрою небо и не будет дождя, или если прикажу саранче уничтожить землю, или пошлю болезнь Моему народу,

13

If I shut up the heavens that there be no rain, or if I command the locust to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among my people;

14

и если Мой народ, который назван Моим именем, смирится и будет молиться, будет искать Меня и отвернётся от своих грешных путей, тогда Я услышу их с небес. Я прощу их грех и исцелю их землю.

and my people, who are called by my name, humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from the heavens, and forgive their sin, and heal their land.

15

Теперь глаза Мои открыты, и уши Мои внемлют молитвам с этого места.

15

Now mine eyes shall be open, and mine ears attentive to the prayer [made] in this place;

16

Я избрал этот храм и освятил его, чтобы имя Моё было в этом храме вечно. Мои глаза и Моё сердце всегда будут здесь, в этом храме.

16

for I have now chosen and hallowed this house, that my name may be there for ever; and mine eyes and my heart shall be there perpetually.

17

Теперь ты, Соломон, если ты будешь жить передо Мной, как жил твой отец Давид, и если ты будешь подчиняться всему, что Я велю тебе, и подчиняться всем моим уставам и законам,

And [as for] thee, if thou wilt walk before me, as David thy father walked, to do according to all that I have commanded thee, and wilt keep my statutes and mine ordinances;

18

тогда Я сделаю тебя сильным царём, и царство твоё будет великим. Это — соглашение, которое Я заключил с твоим отцом Давидом. Я говорил ему: "Давид, в твоей семье всегда будет человек, который будет править Израилем".

then will I establish the throne of thy kingdom, according as I have covenanted with David thy father, saying, There shall not fail thee a man to rule over Israel.

19

Но если ты не будешь подчиняться Моим законам и повелениям, которые Я дал тебе, и если ты будешь поклоняться другим богам и служить им,

19

But if ye turn away and forsake my statutes and my commandments which I have set before you, and go and serve other gods and worship them;

20

тогда Я искореню народ Израиля из земли, которую Я дал им, и оставлю этот храм, который Я освятил для Моего имени. Я уничтожу его и уберу с глаз долой. Я сделаю его посмешищем среди всех народов.

20

then will I pluck them up by the roots out of my land which I have given them; and this house, which I have hallowed to my name, will I cast out of my sight, and will make it a proverb and a byword among all peoples.

21

Каждый, кто будет проходить мимо этого храма, который так высоко почитался, ужаснётся и скажет: "Почему Господь так поступил с этой землёй и с этим храмом?"

And this house, which is high, shall be an astonishment to every one that passes by it; so that he shall say, Why has Jehovah done thus to this land and to this house?

22

Тогда люди ответят: "Потому что народ Израиля отказался подчиниться Господу, Богу их предков. Он — Бог, который вывел их из земли Египетской. Но народ Израиля принял других богов, стал поклоняться и служить идолам. Вот почему Господь навёл на них все эти ужасные несчастья"".

And they shall say, Because they forsook Jehovah the God of their fathers, who brought them forth out of the land of Egypt, and have attached themselves to other gods, and have worshipped them and served them; therefore he has brought upon them all this evil.
