"Подольше потерпи, у Бога есть что сказать через меня.
Suffer me a little, and I will shew thee that I have yet words for +God.
Я мою мудрость с каждым разделю, Господь меня создал, и справедливость Господнюю я докажу.
I will fetch my knowledge from afar, and will ascribe righteousness to my Creator.
Слова мои правдивы, и я знаю, о чём я говорю.
For truly my words shall be no falsehood: one perfect in knowledge is with thee.
Бог всемогущ, но Он не презирает людей — Он так же мудр, как всемогущ.
Lo, God is mighty, but despiseth not [any]; mighty in strength of understanding:
Господь существовать не позволяет злобным, и Он униженным даёт права.
He saveth not the wicked alive; but he doeth justice to the afflicted.
От праведных Он не отводит глаз и делает властителями их, и возвышает справедливостью Своею.
He withdraweth not his eyes from the righteous, but with kings on the throne doth he even set them for ever; and they are exalted.
И ежели наказан человек, цепями спутан, значит, он в своих поступках был несправедлив.
And if, bound in fetters, they be held in cords of affliction,
И скажет им Господь, и объяснит, в чём был их грех, в чём их гордыня.
Then he sheweth them their work, and their transgressions, because they have increased.
Господь заставит слушать их Его предупрежденья, повелит им остановиться во грехах своих.
And he openeth their ear to discipline, and commandeth that they return from iniquity.
И, если эти люди подчинятся, тогда Господь пошлёт удачу им и сделает счастливой жизнь.
If they hearken and serve [him], they shall accomplish their days in prosperity, and their years in pleasures.
Но будут уничтожены они, когда не подчинятся, и умрут в непонимании.
But if they hearken not, they shall pass away by the sword, and expire without knowledge.
Но те, кто не содержит Бога в сердце, всегда горьки и даже в наказанье отказываются Его молить о помощи.
But the godless in heart heap up anger; they cry not when he bindeth them:
Поэтому к ним в молодости смерть приходит, как к юным блудникам.
Their soul dieth in youth, and their life is among the unclean.
Но кто страдает, тех Господь спасает в страданьях их, Он слышит их в беде.
But he delivereth the afflicted in his affliction, and openeth their ear in [their] oppression.
Господь тебе помочь желает жизнь облегчить твою, и чтобы твой был полон стол всегда.
Even so would he have allured thee out of the jaws of distress into a broad place, where there is no straitness; and the supply of thy table [would be] full of fatness.
Но признан виноватым ты, Иов, и ты наказан, как наказывают злых.
But thou art full of the judgments of the wicked: judgment and justice take hold [on thee].
Не позволяй, Иов, чтоб обмануло тебя богатство, чтобы деньги влияли на решение твоё.
Because there is wrath, [beware] lest it take thee away through chastisement: then a great ransom could not avail thee.
Теперь тебе ни деньги не помогут, ни могущественные люди.
Will he esteem thy riches? Not gold, nor all the resources of strength!
Не жди, Иов, прихода ночи — люди надеются в ночи найти укрытие от Бога.
Desire not the night, when peoples are cut off from their place.
Иов, хотя ты и страдал немало, но зла не избирай, не поступи неправильно — будь осторожен.
Take heed, turn not to iniquity; for this hast thou chosen rather than affliction.
Бог всемогущ — Он величайший из всех учителей.
Lo, God is exalted in his power: who teacheth as he?
Никто не может Господу сказать что делать, никто сказать Ему не может, что Он не прав.
Who hath appointed him his way? or who hath said, Thou hast wrought unrighteousness?
Не забывай восхвалять Господа за дела Его, во множестве песен люди Его восхваляли.
Remember that thou magnify his work, which men celebrate.
Дела Господние может видеть каждый, издалека их могут видеть люди.
All men look at it; man beholdeth [it] afar off.
Да, Бог велик, но мы не в состояньи Его величия увидеть, даже не знаем — сколько жил Господь.
Lo, God is great, and we comprehend [him] not, neither can the number of his years be searched out.
Он воду с земли собирает, превращает во влагу, и она опадает дождями.
For he draweth up the drops of water: they distil in rain from the vapour which he formeth,
Облака их приносят, и многих дождь омывает.
Which the skies pour down [and] drop upon man abundantly.
Никто не в состоянии понять, как Бог их посылает или как гром грохочет в небесах.
But can any understand the spreadings of the clouds, [or] the crashing of his pavilion?
Взгляни: Бог разбрасывает молнии на землю и покрывает все глубины океана.
Lo, he spreadeth his light around him, and covereth the bottom of the sea.
Господь использует их для того, чтоб управлять народами и всех их накормить.
For with them he judgeth the peoples; he giveth food in abundance.
Он молнии берёт руками и велит им бить туда, куда Он хочет.
[His] hands he covereth with lightning, and commandeth it where it is to strike.
