Jeremiah Buys Hanamel's Field
The word that came to Jeremiah from the LORD in the tenth year of Zedekiah king of Judah, which was the eighteenth year of Nebuchadrezzar.

В те времена армия Навуходоносора окружила Иерусалим. Иеремия сидел в темнице, во дворце царя Иудеи.
For then the king of Babylon's army besieged Jerusalem: and Jeremiah the prophet was shut up in the court of the prison, which was in the king of Judah's house.
Седекия, царь Иудеи, посадил туда Иеремию, ибо ему не нравились его пророчества, в которых Иеремия говорил: "Господь сказал, что скоро отдаст Иерусалим царю Вавилона, и Навуходоносор захватит этот город.
For Zedekiah king of Judah had shut him up, saying, Wherefore dost thou prophesy, and say, Thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will give this city into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he shall take it;
Седекия, царь Иудеи, не избежит халдеев — он будет передан царю Вавилона и будет с ним говорить лицом к лицу и увидит его собственными глазами.
And Zedekiah king of Judah shall not escape out of the hand of the Chaldeans, but shall surely be delivered into the hand of the king of Babylon, and shall speak with him mouth to mouth, and his eyes shall behold his eyes;
Царь заберёт Седекию в Вавилон, где он будет находиться, пока Я не накажу его. Так сказал Господь. Если он будет сражаться против армии вавилонской, то ничего не добьётся".
And he shall lead Zedekiah to Babylon, and there shall he be until I visit him, saith the LORD: though ye fight with the Chaldeans, ye shall not prosper?
Во время заключения Иеремия сказал: "Ко мне пришла весть от Господа. Вот что говорит Господь:
And Jeremiah said, The word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
Иеремия, твой двоюродный брат Анамеил, сын твоего дяди Саллума, придёт к тебе и скажет: "Купи моё поле возле города Анафофа, купи, потому что ты мой ближайший родственник, и ты по праву должен купить его".
Behold, Hanameel the son of Shallum thine uncle shall come unto thee, saying, Buy thee my field that is in Anathoth: for the right of redemption is thine to buy it.
И как сказал Господь, так и случилось: мой двоюродный брат Анамеил пришёл ко мне и сказал: "Иеремия, купи моё поле возле Анафофа, в земле семьи Вениамина, купи его для себя, потому что это твоё право — купить его и владеть им". И я убедился, что та весть была от Господа.
So Hanameel mine uncle's son came to me in the court of the prison according to the word of the LORD, and said unto me, Buy my field, I pray thee, that is in Anathoth, which is in the country of Benjamin: for the right of inheritance is thine, and the redemption is thine; buy it for thyself. Then I knew that this was the word of the LORD.
Я купил поле в Анафофе у моего двоюродного брата и отвесил ему семнадцать сиклей серебра.
And I bought the field of Hanameel my uncle's son, that was in Anathoth, and weighed him the money, even seventeen shekels of silver.
Я подписал купчую. У меня была запечатанная копия. Я сделал всё это при свидетелях и взвесил серебро на весах.
And I subscribed the evidence, and sealed it, and took witnesses, and weighed him the money in the balances.
Потом я взял копию, запечатанную по закону, и вторую, незапечатанную.
So I took the evidence of the purchase, both that which was sealed according to the law and custom, and that which was open:
Я отдал их Варуху, сыну Нирии, который был сыном Маасеи. Запечатанная копия содержала все условия покупки; я отдал её Варуху на глазах у моего двоюродного брата Анамеила и других свидетелей, которые тоже подписали купчую. Было много ещё людей Иудеи, которые видели, как я отдавал всё Варуху.
And I gave the evidence of the purchase unto Baruch the son of Neriah, the son of Maaseiah, in the sight of Hanameel mine uncle's son, and in the presence of the witnesses that subscribed the book of the purchase, before all the Jews that sat in the court of the prison.
"Господь Всемогущий, Бог Израиля, говорит мне, чтобы я взял обе копии и положил их в глиняный горшок, чтобы они сохранились надолго.
Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Take these evidences, this evidence of the purchase, both which is sealed, and this evidence which is open; and put them in an earthen vessel, that they may continue many days.
Господь Всемогущий, Бог Израиля, сказал, то в будущем люди Его снова будут покупать дома, поля и виноградники на земле Израиля".
For thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Houses and fields and vineyards shall be possessed again in this land.
После того, как я отдал всё Варуху, сыну Нирии, я молился Господу со словами:
Jeremiah's Prayer
Now when I had delivered the evidence of the purchase unto Baruch the son of Neriah, I prayed unto the LORD, saying,

Господи Боже, Ты сотворил небеса и землю своим могуществом, для Тебя нет ничего невозможного.
Ah Lord GOD! behold, thou hast made the heaven and the earth by thy great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for thee:
Господи, Ты предан и добр к тысячам людей, но Ты и даёшь наказание детям за грехи их отцов. Боже Великий и могущественный, имя Твоё — Господь Всемогущий.
Thou shewest lovingkindness unto thousands, and recompensest the iniquity of the fathers into the bosom of their children after them: the Great, the Mighty God, the LORD of hosts, is his name,
Ты задумываешь и совершаешь великие дела, Ты видишь всё, что делают люди, Ты даёшь награду тем, кто делает добро, и наказываешь тех, кто делает зло, — всем Ты воздаёшь по заслугам.
Great in counsel, and mighty in work: for thine eyes are open upon all the ways of the sons of men: to give every one according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings:
Господи, Ты совершил чудеса в земле Египта и совершаешь их до сих пор и в Израиле, и везде, где есть люди, и этим Ты прославил Себя!
Which hast set signs and wonders in the land of Egypt, even unto this day, and in Israel, and among other men; and hast made thee a name, as at this day;
Господи, Ты могуществом и чудесами Своими вывел народ израильский из Египта, силою рук Твоих сделал Ты это — величие Твоё непостижимо.
And hast brought forth thy people Israel out of the land of Egypt with signs, and with wonders, and with a strong hand, and with a stretched out arm, and with great terror;
Господи, землю эту Ты дал людям Израиля. Ты давно обещал эту землю нашим предкам. Она прекрасна и богата.
And hast given them this land, which thou didst swear to their fathers to give them, a land flowing with milk and honey;
Народ Израиля пришёл на эту землю и сделал её своей, но они не подчинялись Тебе и не следовали Твоим заветам, за что Ты послал на них беды.
And they came in, and possessed it; but they obeyed not thy voice, neither walked in thy law; they have done nothing of all that thou commandedst them to do: therefore thou hast caused all this evil to come upon them:
Теперь враги окружили город, построили валы и могут одолеть стены Иерусалима и захватить его. Воспользовавшись болезнями и голодом в городе, вавилонская армия может победить Иерусалим своими мечами. Как Ты говорил, Господь, так и случилось.
Behold the mounts, they are come unto the city to take it; and the city is given into the hand of the Chaldeans, that fight against it, because of the sword, and of the famine, and of the pestilence: and what thou hast spoken is come to pass; and, behold, thou seest it.
Господи, Ты мой Владыка, всё ужасное совершилось, но Ты говоришь, чтобы я купил поле, заплатил за него серебром, взял людей в свидетели сделки. Ты говоришь это, когда вавилонская армия готова захватить город".
And thou hast said unto me, O Lord GOD, Buy thee the field for money, and take witnesses; for the city is given into the hand of the Chaldeans.
И пришла к Иеремии весть от Господа:
Jerusalem's Fall Confirmed
Then came the word of the LORD unto Jeremiah, saying,
Then came the word of the LORD unto Jeremiah, saying,
"Иеремия, Я — Господь, Я Бог любого человека на земле. Ты знаешь, Иеремия, что для Меня нет ничего невозможного".
Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me?
И ещё Господь сказал: "Я скоро отдам Иерусалим вавилонской армии и Навуходоносору, царю Вавилона. Они захватят Иерусалим.
Therefore thus saith the LORD; Behold, I will give this city into the hand of the Chaldeans, and into the hand of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, and he shall take it:
Они уже атакуют город и скоро в него войдут, и там начнётся пожар. Они сожгут этот город дотла. В Иерусалиме есть дома, чьи хозяева разгневали Меня, воздавая жертвы Ваалу на крышах своих домов и предлагая питьё другим богам. Вавилонская армия сожжёт все эти дома.
And the Chaldeans, that fight against this city, shall come and set fire on this city, and burn it with the houses, upon whose roofs they have offered incense unto Baal, and poured out drink offerings unto other gods, to provoke me to anger.
Я наблюдал за народом Израиля и Иудеи. Всё, что они делают, — зло, они творят это зло со времён своей молодости. Народ Израиля Меня разгневал, поклоняясь рукотворным идолам". Так говорит Господь.
For the children of Israel and the children of Judah have only done evil before me from their youth: for the children of Israel have only provoked me to anger with the work of their hands, saith the LORD.
"Со времени, когда построен был Иерусалим, и до сегодняшнего дня люди этого города удручали Меня и заставили так разгневаться, что Я должен убрать его с глаз Моих.
For this city hath been to me as a provocation of mine anger and of my fury from the day that they built it even unto this day; that I should remove it from before my face,
Я разрушу Иерусалим, потому что люди его продолжают творить зло. Народ, его цари, правители, священники, пророки — все люди Иудеи разгневали Меня.
Because of all the evil of the children of Israel and of the children of Judah, which they have done to provoke me to anger, they, their kings, their princes, their priests, and their prophets, and the men of Judah, and the inhabitants of Jerusalem.
Они должны были прийти ко Мне за помощью, но повернулись спинами. Я пытался учить их снова и снова, пытался их поправлять, но они не послушали Меня.
And they have turned unto me the back, and not the face: though I taught them, rising up early and teaching them, yet they have not hearkened to receive instruction.
Они сотворили идолов, которых Я ненавижу. Они ставят их в храме, который назван Моим именем, чем оскверняют храм Мой.
But they set their abominations in the house, which is called by my name, to defile it.
В долине сыновей Еннома они поставили высокие капища для нечестивого Ваала. И там они сжигали своих сыновей и дочерей. Я никогда ничего подобного от них не просил и не помышлял просить народ Иудеи творить такое зло.
And they built the high places of Baal, which are in the valley of the son of Hinnom, to cause their sons and their daughters to pass through the fire unto Molech; which I commanded them not, neither came it into my mind, that they should do this abomination, to cause Judah to sin.
Вы говорите: "Царь Вавилона захватит Иерусалим, он победит его с помощью меча, болезней и голода". Но Господь, Бог Израиля, говорит:
A Promise of Restoration
And now therefore thus saith the LORD, the God of Israel, concerning this city, whereof ye say, It shall be delivered into the hand of the king of Babylon by the sword, and by the famine, and by the pestilence;
And now therefore thus saith the LORD, the God of Israel, concerning this city, whereof ye say, It shall be delivered into the hand of the king of Babylon by the sword, and by the famine, and by the pestilence;
"Я заставил людей Израиля и Иудеи покинуть их земли, Я был сильно разгневан на них, но Я приведу их обратно, соберу их отовсюду, куда заставил их уйти. Я позволю им жить в покое и в мире.
Behold, I will gather them out of all countries, whither I have driven them in mine anger, and in my fury, and in great wrath; and I will bring them again unto this place, and I will cause them to dwell safely:
Народ Израиля и Иудеи будет Моим народом, Я буду их Богом.
And they shall be my people, and I will be their God:
Я дам им одно сердце и одну цель. Они захотят поклоняться Мне всю жизнь, и столь же истинно будут желать этого их дети.
And I will give them one heart, and one way, that they may fear me for ever, for the good of them, and of their children after them:
С людьми Израиля и Иудеи Я заключу завет, который будет вечен. По этому завету Я вовеки не отвернусь от них и буду добр к ним. Я вложу в их сердца желание чтить Меня, чтобы они больше от Меня не отвернулись.
And I will make an everlasting covenant with them, that I will not turn away from them, to do them good; but I will put my fear in their hearts, that they shall not depart from me.
Они сделают Меня счастливым, и Я буду наслаждаться, творя для них добро. Я непременно посажу их на их земле и заставлю расти, это Я сделаю от всего сердца, от всей Моей души.
Yea, I will rejoice over them to do them good, and I will plant them in this land assuredly with my whole heart and with my whole soul.
Я принёс великие несчастья народу Израиля и Иудеи, но Я им принесу и благо. Я обещал сделать добро.
For thus saith the LORD; Like as I have brought all this great evil upon this people, so will I bring upon them all the good that I have promised them.
Вы, люди, говорите, что эта земля пустынна, на ней нет ни животных, ни людей после победы вавилонской армии. Но в будущем люди будут опять покупать на этой земле поля.
And fields shall be bought in this land, whereof ye say, It is desolate without man or beast; it is given into the hand of the Chaldeans.
Люди будут покупать поля за деньги, будут подписывать и запечатывать купчие, будут свидетельствовать при покупке земли в земле Вениамина и вокруг Иерусалима, в городах земли Иудеи, на холмах и в западных предгорьях, в южной пустыне. Это будет потому, что Я приведу этих людей домой"". Так говорит Господь.
Men shall buy fields for money, and subscribe evidences, and seal them, and take witnesses in the land of Benjamin, and in the places about Jerusalem, and in the cities of Judah, and in the cities of the mountains, and in the cities of the valley, and in the cities of the south: for I will cause their captivity to return, saith the LORD.
