And when the day of Pentecost was now accomplishing, they were all together in one place.

And there came suddenly a sound out of heaven as of a violent impetuous blowing, and filled all the house where they were sitting.
И явилось им нечто, подобное языкам пламени, эти языки разделились, и на каждого из апостолов пал такой огненный язык.
And there appeared to them parted tongues, as of fire, and it sat upon each one of them.
И исполнились они все Духом Святым, и стали говорить на разных языках, ибо Святой Дух даровал им эту способность.
And they were all filled with [the] Holy Spirit, and began to speak with other tongues as the Spirit gave to them to speak forth.
В Иерусалиме же, находились очень набожные Иудеи.
Now there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, pious men, from every nation of those under heaven.
И когда раздался этот звук, собралась толпа; люди были удивлены, ибо каждому из них слышалось, что апостолы говорят на его родном языке.
But the rumour of this having spread, the multitude came together and were confounded, because each one heard them speaking in his own dialect.

And all were amazed and wondered, saying, Behold, are not all these who are speaking Galilaeans?
Как же это каждому из нас слышится, что они говорят на его родном языке?
and how do *we* hear [them] each in our own dialect in which we have been born,
Среди нас и парфяне, и мидяне, и эламиты, жители Месопотамии и Иудеи, и каппадокийцы, жители Понта и Азии,
Parthians, and Medes, and Elamites, and those who inhabit Mesopotamia, and Judaea, and Cappadocia, Pontus and Asia,
Фригии и Памфилии, Египта, и обитатели тех частей Ливии, что примыкают к Киринее, и римляне,
both Phrygia and Pamphylia, Egypt, and the parts of Libya which adjoin Cyrene, and the Romans sojourning [here], both Jews and proselytes,
и критяне, и аравийцы, и иудеи, и обращённые — все мы слышим, как они рассказывают о великих делах Божьих на наших родных языках".
Cretans and Arabians, we hear them speaking in our own tongues the great things of God?
Все они были изумлены и озадачены и спрашивали друг друга: "Что это значит?"
And they were all amazed and in perplexity, saying one to another, What would this mean?
Но некоторые, насмехаясь, говорили: "Они выпили слишком много сладкого вина".
But others mocking said, They are full of new wine.

Peter Preaches to the Crowd

Люди эти не пьяны, как вы думаете, ибо сейчас только девять часов утра,
for these are not full of wine, as *ye* suppose, for it is the third hour of the day;
но то, что вы видите, предсказано через пророка Иоиля:
but this is that which was spoken through the prophet Joel,
"И в эти дни последние, — говорит Бог, — Я изолью Дух Мой на всех людей. И дочери, и сыновья ваши будут пророчествовать, и юноши ваши будут иметь видения, а старикам вашим будут сниться сны.
And it shall be in the last days, saith God, [that] I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your elders shall dream with dreams;
Да, в эти дни Я изолью Дух Свой на рабов и рабынь Своих, и будут они пророчествовать.
yea, even upon my bondmen and upon my bondwomen in those days will I pour out of my Spirit, and they shall prophesy.
И явлю Я знамения вверху, на небесах, и внизу, на земле: кровь, огонь и клубы дыма.
And I will give wonders in the heaven above and signs on the earth below, blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke:
Солнце померкнет, а луна станет красной, как кровь. А затем настанет великий и славный День Господний,
the sun shall be changed to darkness and the moon to blood, before the great and gloriously appearing day of [the] Lord come.
и всякий, взывающий к имени Господа, спасён будет".
And it shall be that whosoever shall call upon the name of [the] Lord shall be saved.
Мужи иудейские, выслушайте слова мои: Иисус из Назарета был Человек, Чья Божественная власть была ясно доказана вам всеми силами, чудесами и знамениями, которые Бог сотворил через Него. Вы сами знаете это, ибо произошло это здесь, среди вас.
Men of Israel, hear these words: Jesus the Nazaraean, a man borne witness to by God to you by works of power and wonders and signs, which God wrought by him in your midst, as yourselves know
Этот человек был отдан в вашу власть по намерению и предвидению Божьему, а вы убили Его руками беззаконных, пригвоздив к кресту.
-- him, given up by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, ye, by [the] hand of lawless [men], have crucified and slain.
Но Бог воскресил Его и освободил от смертных мук, потому что Он не мог быть во власти смерти.
Whom God has raised up, having loosed the pains of death, inasmuch as it was not possible that he should be held by its power;
Давид говорит о Нём: "Я непрестанно видел Господа передо мною. Он — по правую руку от меня, дабы я не поколебался.
for David says as to him, I foresaw the Lord continually before me, because he is at my right hand that I may not be moved.
от этого сердце моё ликует, уста мои произносят речи радостные, и даже тело моё пребывает в надежде,
Therefore has my heart rejoiced and my tongue exulted; yea more, my flesh also shall dwell in hope,
ибо не оставишь души моей в царстве мёртвых. И не дашь телу Святого Твоего увидеть тление.
for thou wilt not leave my soul in hades, nor wilt thou give thy gracious one to see corruption.
Ты наставил меня на путь жизни, и Твоё присутствие наполнит меня радостью".
Thou hast made known to me [the] paths of life, thou wilt fill me with joy with thy countenance.
Братья мои! С уверенностью могу сказать вам о патриархе Давиде: он умер и был погребён, и могила его здесь до сего дня с нами.
Brethren, let it be allowed to speak with freedom to you concerning the patriarch David, that he has both died and been buried, and his monument is amongst us unto this day.
Но он был пророк и знал, что Бог поклялся ему, что возведёт на престол Давида одного из его потомков.
Being therefore a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn to him with an oath, of the fruit of his loins to set upon his throne;
Предвидел он и воскресение Христа, когда сказал: "Не был Он оставлен в царстве мёртвых, и тело Его не истлело в могиле".
he, seeing [it] before, spoke concerning the resurrection of the Christ, that neither has he been left in hades nor his flesh seen corruption.
Бог воскресил Иисуса, и все мы свидетели тому.
This Jesus has God raised up, whereof all *we* are witnesses.
Теперь Он вознесён по правую руку от Бога и, получив от Отца обещанного Святого Духа, Он излил на вас то, что вы видите и слышите.
Having therefore been exalted by the right hand of God, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, he has poured out this which *ye* behold and hear.
Ибо, хотя Давид сам не был вознесён на небо, однако вот его слова: "Господь сказал Господу моему: Сядь по правую руку Мою
For David has not ascended into the heavens, but he says himself, The Lord said unto my Lord, Sit at my right hand
до тех пор, пока не повергну врагов Твоих к ногам Твоим".
until I have put thine enemies [to be] the footstool of thy feet.
Так знай же, род Израилев, что Бог сделал Иисуса Господом и Христом, а вы распяли Его!"
Let the whole house of Israel therefore know assuredly that God has made him, this Jesus whom *ye* have crucified, both Lord and Christ.
Услышав это, они были поражены в самое сердце и сказали Петру и другим апостолам: "Братья, что же нам делать?"
Three Thousand Believe
And having heard [it] they were pricked in heart, and said to Peter and the other apostles, What shall we do, brethren?

"Покайтесь — ответил Пётр — и каждый из вас должен быть крещён во имя Иисуса Христа во искупление грехов ваших, и получите вы в дар Святого Духа.
And Peter said to them, Repent, and be baptised, each one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ, for remission of sins, and ye will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
Ибо обещано это вам и детям вашим, и всем, кто ещё далёк от Бога, всем, кого призовёт к Себе Господь Бог наш".
For to you is the promise and to your children, and to all who [are] afar off, as many as [the] Lord our God may call.
И многими другими словами предостерегал он их и молил, говоря: "Оберегайте себя от зла живущих ныне!"
And with many other words he testified and exhorted them, saying, Be saved from this perverse generation.
Те, кто принял его слово, были крещены, а всего в тот день около трёх тысяч человек прибавилось к числу верующих.
Those then who had accepted his word were baptised; and there were added in that day about three thousand souls.
И они проводили время в постоянном приобщении к апостольским учениям и в общении друг с другом, ели все вместе и молились вместе.
The Fellowship of Believers
And they persevered in the teaching and fellowship of the apostles, in breaking of bread and prayers.

And fear was upon every soul, and many wonders and signs took place through the apostles' means.

И стали они продавать своё имущество и владения свои и раздавать всем, кто в этом нуждался.
and sold their possessions and substance, and distributed them to all, according as any one might have need.
Каждый день они собирались вместе в храме, а в домах у себя ели все вместе, радостно и щедро делясь друг с другом пищей,
And every day, being constantly in the temple with one accord, and breaking bread in [the] house, they received their food with gladness and simplicity of heart,
