Thanksgiving for Deliverance from Death

I love the Lord, because He has heard
My voice and my supplications.

Бо прихилив до мене своє вухо, тому взиватиму до нього всі дні мої.

Because He has inclined His ear to me,
Therefore I will call upon Him as long as I live.

Обвили мене пута смерти, сіті Шеолу мене вхопили, журба й горе на мене навалились.

The [a]pains of death surrounded me,
And the [b]pangs of Sheol [c]laid hold of me;
I found trouble and sorrow.

І я прикликав ім'я Господнє: «О Господи, благаю, спаси мою душу!»

Then I called upon the name of the Lord:
“O Lord, I implore You, deliver my soul!”

Добрий Господь і справедливий, Бог наш — співчутливий.

Gracious is the Lord, and righteous;
Yes, our God is merciful.

Господь береже простих; я знемігся, і він мене спас.

The Lord preserves the simple;
I was brought low, and He saved me.

Повернись, душе моя, до відпочинку твого, бо Господь учинив добро з тобою.

Return to your rest, O my soul,
For the Lord has dealt bountifully with you.

Бо спас від смерти моє життя, очі мої, від сліз і ноги від падіння.

For You have delivered my soul from death,
My eyes from tears,
And my feet from falling.

Я буду перед Господом ходити у живих країні.

I will walk before the Lord
In the land of the living.

Я був непохитний у довір'ї навіть тоді, коли казав: «Який же я нещасний!»

I believed, therefore I spoke,
“I am greatly afflicted.”

У моїм схвилюванні я мовив: «Усяк чоловік — неправдомовець!»

I said in my haste,
“All men are liars.”

Чим Господеві я віддячу за всі його добродійства для мене?

What shall I render to the Lord
For all His benefits toward me?

Я підніму чашу спасіння і прикличу ім'я Господнє.

I will take up the cup of salvation,
And call upon the name of the Lord.

Виконаю обіти мої Господеві перед усім його народом.

I will pay my vows to the Lord
Now in the presence of all His people.

Цінна в очах Господніх смерть його вірних.

Precious in the sight of the Lord
Is the death of His saints.

Змилуйсь, о Господи, бо я слуга твій; слуга твій, син твоєї слугині; ти розкував мої кайдани.

O Lord, truly I am Your servant;
I am Your servant, the son of Your maidservant;
You have loosed my bonds.

Я принесу тобі похвальну жертву І прикличу ім'я Господнє.

I will offer to You the sacrifice of thanksgiving,
And will call upon the name of the Lord.

Виконаю обіти мої Господеві перед усім його народом.

I will pay my vows to the Lord
Now in the presence of all His people,

В дворах дому Господнього, Посеред тебе, о Єрусалиме! Алилуя!

In the courts of the Lord’s house,
In the midst of you, O Jerusalem.
