Hallelujah! Praise the name of Jehovah; praise, ye servants of Jehovah,
Hallelujah! Praise the name of Jehovah; praise, ye servants of Jehovah,
що стоїте в домі Господнім, у дворах дому нашого Бога.
Ye that stand in the house of Jehovah, in the courts of the house of our God.
Хваліте Господа, бо Господь добрий; псалмами величайте ім'я його, бо воно миле.
Praise ye Jah; for Jehovah is good: sing psalms unto his name; for it is pleasant.
Бо Якова Господь вибрав, Ізраїля собі у власність.
For Jah hath chosen Jacob unto himself, Israel for his own possession.
Я знаю добре, що Господь великий, і Що Владика наш над усіма богами.
For *I* know that Jehovah is great, and our Lord is above all gods.
Усе, що Господь хоче, чинить; на небі й на землі, на морях і у всіх водних безоднях.
Whatsoever Jehovah pleased, he hath done in the heavens and on the earth, in the seas and all deeps;
Підносить із кінців землі хмари і блискавки для дощу утворює, виводить вітер із своїх сховищ.
Who causeth the vapours to ascend from the ends of the earth; who maketh lightnings for the rain; who bringeth the wind out of his treasuries:
Він вибив перворідних у Єгипті, так людини, як і скотини.
Who smote the firstborn of Egypt, both of man and beast;
Явив знаки й чудеса посеред тебе, Єгипте, над фараоном і над усіма його слугами.
Who sent signs and miracles into the midst of thee, O Egypt, upon Pharaoh and upon all his servants;
Багато розгромив народів і повбивав царів могутніх.
Who smote great nations, and slew mighty kings,
Сихона, царя аморіїв, і Ога, царя Башану, і всі царства ханаанські.
Sihon king of the Amorites, and Og king of Bashan, and all the kingdoms of Canaan;
І землю їхню віддав у спадщину Ізраїлеві, своєму народові, в насліддя.
And gave their land for an inheritance, an inheritance unto Israel his people.
О Господи, ім'я твоє повіки; пам'ять твоя, о Господи, від роду й до роду.
Thy name, O Jehovah, is for ever; thy memorial, O Jehovah, from generation to generation.
Господь бо заступається за люд свій і над слугами своїми має милосердя.
For Jehovah will judge his people, and will repent in favour of his servants.
Поган божища — срібло й золото, діло рук людських:
The idols of the nations are silver and gold, the work of men's hands:
уста мають — і не говорять, очі мають — і не бачать,
They have a mouth, and they speak not; eyes have they, and they see not;
вуха мають — і не чують; навіть і подиху нема в їхньому роті.
They have ears, and they hear not; neither is there any breath in their mouth.
Ті, що їх виробляють, хай самі, як вони, стануть, усі, що на них покладаються.
They that make them are like unto them, -- every one that confideth in them.
Доме Ізраїля, благословіте Господа! Доме Арона, благословіте Господа!
House of Israel, bless ye Jehovah; house of Aaron, bless ye Jehovah;
Доме Леві, благословіте Господа! Ви, що боїтеся Господа, благословіте Господа!
House of Levi, bless ye Jehovah; ye that fear Jehovah, bless Jehovah.
