Ти, що живеш під Всевишнього покровом, що у Всесильного тіні пробуваєш,

Safety of Abiding in the Presence of God

He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High
Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

скажи до Господа: «Моє прибіжище й моя твердиня, мій Боже, на котрого я покладаюсь.»

I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress;
My God, in Him I will trust.”

Він бо спасе тебе від сітки птахолова і від погибельного мору.

Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the [a]fowler
And from the perilous pestilence.

Він тебе покриє крилами своїми, і ти втечеш під його крила; щит і забороло — його вірність.

He shall cover you with His feathers,
And under His wings you shall take refuge;
His truth shall be your shield and [b]buckler.

Ти не злякаєшся ні страху вночі, ані стріли, що вдень літає,

You shall not be afraid of the terror by night,
Nor of the arrow that flies by day,

ані чуми, що в пітьмі бродить, ані зарази, що нищить опівдні.

Nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness,
Nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday.

Нехай і тисяча упаде біля тебе і десять тисяч праворуч від тебе, — до тебе не підійде.

A thousand may fall at your side,
And ten thousand at your right hand;
But it shall not come near you.

Ти лиш очима споглянеш — і кару грішників побачиш.

Only with your eyes shall you look,
And see the reward of the wicked.

Бо Господь — твоє прибіжище, Всевишній — твій захист.

Because you have made the Lord, who is my refuge,
Even the Most High, your dwelling place,

Ніяке лихо до тебе не приступить, ніяка кара не підійде близько намету твого.

No evil shall befall you,
Nor shall any plague come near your dwelling;

Бо ангелам своїм він повелить про тебе, щоб берегли тебе на всіх твоїх дорогах.

For He shall give His angels charge over you,
To keep you in all your ways.

І на руках тебе носитимуть, щоб не спіткнулася нога твоя об камінь.

In their hands they shall [c]bear you up,
Lest you [d]dash your foot against a stone.

На гада й змія будеш наступати, розтопчеш лева і дракона.

You shall tread upon the lion and the cobra,
The young lion and the serpent you shall trample underfoot.

Тому, що він явив свою любов до мене, я його врятую; я вивищу його, бо знає моє ім'я.

“Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him;
I will [e]set him on high, because he has known My name.

Візве до мене, і я озвусь до нього; я буду з ним у скруті, я визволю його і його прославлю

He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him;
I will be with him in trouble;
I will deliver him and honor him.

Довгим віком його насичу, і явлю йому моє спасіння.

With [f]long life I will satisfy him,
And show him My salvation.”
