І кажете: Глядіть, яка морока! — і маловажите ним, — говорить Господь сил. Приносите грабоване кульгаве й хворе, таке приносите у жертву! Таке б мені приймати із рук ваших? — говорить Господь.

До того ще й мовляєте: Скілько ж то працї! та й маловажите все, говорить Господь сил, і приносите крадене й кульгаве й недуже, а такі самі й хлїбові дари ваші. Чи менї ж та приймати таке залюбки з рук ваших? говорить Господь. -
І до того говорите: „Ось стільки пра́ці!“ і ним нехтуєте, — говорить Госпо́дь Савао́т, — і прино́сите кра́дене, і кульга́ве та хворе, і таку жертву хлібну прино́сите. Чи буде воно Мені миле з рук ваших? говорить Госпо́дь.

І ви сказали: Це через страждання, і ви їх відкинули, — говорить Господь Вседержитель. І ви приносили награбоване, кульгаве і хворе. І коли ви приносите жертву, то хіба Я їх прийму з ваших рук? — говорить Господь Вседержитель.

Притом говорите: «вот сколько труда!» и пренебрегаете ею, говорит Господь Саваоф, и приносите украденное, хромое и больное, и такого же свойства приносите хлебный дар: могу ли с благоволением принимать это из рук ваших? говорит Господь.

Ye said also, Behold, what a weariness is it! and ye have snuffed at it, saith the LORD of hosts; and ye brought that which was torn, and the lame, and the sick; thus ye brought an offering: should I accept this of your hand? saith the LORD.

“When you bring injured, lame or diseased animals and offer them as sacrifices, should I accept them from your hands?” says the Lord. -

Says the Lord of hosts.
“And you bring the stolen, the lame, and the sick;
Thus you bring an offering!
Should I accept this from your hand?”
