Тоді Ірод, побачивши, що мудреці з нього насміялись, розлютився вельми й послав повбивати у Вифлеємі й по всій його окрузі всіх дітей, що мали менше, ніж два роки, згідно з часом, що пильно вивідав був від мудреців.

Коли Ірод побачив, що мудреці його обманули, то дуже розлютився й наказав повбивати у Віфлеємі та його околицях усіх дворічних і молодших за віком хлопчиків. (Визначивши вік з того, про що розповіли йому мудреці).

Спостеріг тоді Ірод, що ті мудреці насміялися з нього, та й розгнівався дуже, і послав повбивати в Вифлеємі й по всій тій околиці всіх дітей від двох років і менше, за ча́сом, що його в мудреців він був ви́питав.

Тоді Ірод, побачивши, що мудреці поглузували з нього, дуже розлютився і послав повбивати всіх дітей, які були у Вифлеємі та в усіх його околицях, — від двох років і менше, — за часом, про який вивідав у мудреців.

Тогда Ирод, увидев себя осмеянным волхвами, весьма разгневался и послал избить всех младенцев в Вифлееме и во всех пределах его, от двух лет и ниже, по времени, которое выведал от волхвов.

Then Herod, when he saw that he was mocked of the wise men, was exceeding wroth, and sent forth, and slew all the children that were in Bethlehem, and in all the coasts thereof, from two years old and under, according to the time which he had diligently inquired of the wise men. -
