І покликав царь Йоас первосьвященника Йодая з иншими сьвященниками, та й промовив до них: Чом же ви нїчого не поправили, що попсувалось у храму? Оце ж не беріте вже нїяких грошей до себе по черзї, а віддавайте на те, що в храму попсувалось.

Та до двадцять третього року царя Йоаса священики ще нічого не полагодили у храмі.

І сталося двадцятого й третього року царя Єгоаша, священики не напра́вили ушкодження храму.

І сталося, що у двадцять третьому році царювання Йоаса священики ще не укріпили тріщин дому.

то царь Иоас позвал священника Иодая и священников и сказал им: почему вы не исправляете повреждений в храме? Не берите же отныне серебра у знакомых своих, а на починку повреждений в храме отдайте его.

Then king Jehoash called for Jehoiada the priest, and the other priests, and said unto them, Why repair ye not the breaches of the house? now therefore receive no more money of your acquaintance, but deliver it for the breaches of the house.

— Почему вы не чините дом? Не берите больше денег у жертвователей, а передайте их на починку дома. -
So King Jehoash called Jehoiada the priest and the other priests, and said to them, “Why have you not repaired the damages of the temple? Now therefore, do not take more money from your constituency, but deliver it for repairing the damages of the temple.”
