Tell of His Wonderful Works!
Give ye thanks unto Jehovah, call upon his name; make known his acts among the peoples.
Give ye thanks unto Jehovah, call upon his name; make known his acts among the peoples.
Сьпівайте йому, похвальні піснї сьпівайте йому, про всї чудесні творива його думайте-гадайте!
Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him; meditate upon all his wondrous works.
Хвалїтесь імям його сьвятим! Нехай радується серце тих, що шукають Господа!
Glory ye in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek Jehovah.
Шукайте Господа і силу його, шукайте пильно лице його!
Seek Jehovah and his strength, seek his face continually;
Згадайте чудеса його, що творив їх, чудесні знамена й присуди уст його!
Remember his wondrous works which he hath done, his miracles and the judgments of his mouth:
Ти, сїмя Авраама, слуги його, ви сини Якова, вибрані його!
Ye seed of Abraham his servant, ye sons of Jacob, his chosen ones.
Він, Господь, Бог наш; суди його по всїй землї.
He, Jehovah, is our God; his judgments are in all the earth.
Вічно памятає він заповіт свій, те слово, що заповів для тисяча родів.
He is ever mindful of his covenant, -- the word which he commanded to a thousand generations, --
Свій заповіт з Авраамом і свою клятву, котрою перед Ізааком клявся;
Which he made with Abraham, and of his oath unto Isaac;
І поставив її законом Якову, вічним заповітом Ізраїлеві,
And he confirmed it unto Jacob for a statute, unto Israel for an everlasting covenant,
Глаголючи: Дам тобі землю Канаанську, як пай наслїддя вашого;
Saying, Unto thee will I give the land of Canaan, the lot of your inheritance;
Як була їх ще мала горстка, дуже мала, а між ними чужі,
When they were a few men in number, of small account, and strangers in it.
І як вони від народу до народу переходили, з одного царства до другого люду.
And they went from nation to nation, from one kingdom to another people.
Він не допустив нїкому робити їм кривду, і карав за них царів:
He suffered no man to oppress them, and reproved kings for their sakes,
Не доторкайтесь моїх помазанників, і не творіть злого пророкам моїм!
[Saying,] Touch not mine anointed ones, and do my prophets no harm.
І призвав він голод на тую землю; поломив всяке хлїбне стебло.
And he called for a famine upon the land; he broke the whole staff of bread.
Післав перед ними чоловіка, проданого, як невільника, Йосифа.
He sent a man before them: Joseph was sold for a bondman.
Кайданами сковали його ноги; життє його було в желїзних путах,
They afflicted his feet with fetters; his soul came into irons;
Аж поки сповнилось слово його; слово Господнє явило чистоту його.
Until the time when what he said came about: the word of Jehovah tried him.
Післав царь, і випустив його владика народів, і вислобонив його;
The king sent and loosed him -- the ruler of peoples -- and let him go free.
Поставив його господарем над своїм домом, і правительом над усїм маєтком своїм.
He made him lord of his house, and ruler over all his possessions:
Щоб князїв його здержував, як знає; і старших його розуму навчав.
To bind his princes at his pleasure, and teach his elders wisdom.
Прийшов Ізраїль до Египту, і Яков осївся в землї Хама.
And Israel came into Egypt, and Jacob sojourned in the land of Ham.
І розмножив дуже Бог людей своїх, і зробив їх сильнїйшими над їх гнобителями.
And he made his people exceeding fruitful, and made them mightier than their oppressors.
Допустив же серцю їх ненавидїти нарід його, видумувати напастї проти слуг його.
He turned their heart to hate his people, to deal subtilly with his servants.
Післав він Мойсея, слугу свого, Аарона, що вибрав собі його.
He sent Moses his servant, [and] Aaron whom he had chosen:
Вони творили між ними знамена його і чудеса в землї Хамовій:
They set his signs among them, and miracles in the land of Ham.
Наслав темряву і стало темно, і не противились слову його.
He sent darkness, and made it dark; and they rebelled not against his word.
Перемінив воду на кров, і поморив всю рибу їх.
He turned their waters into blood, and caused their fish to die.
Закишіло в країнї від жаб, у дворах царських.
Their land swarmed with frogs, -- in the chambers of their kings.
Сказав він, і роями взялись песячі мухи і комарі у всїх гряницях їх.
He spoke, and there came dog-flies, [and] gnats in all their borders.
Наслав на них град замість дощу, огонь палящий на землю їх;
He gave them hail for rain, [and] flaming fire in their land;
Побив виноград і фіґове дерево, і поломив деревину в країнї їх.
And he smote their vines and their fig-trees, and broke the trees of their borders.
Сказав, і прийшла сарана і гусениця, тьма тьмою.
He spoke, and the locust came, and the cankerworm, even without number;
І пожерли все, що було зелене в країнї їх, і плоди на полі їх пожерли.
And they devoured every herb in their land, and ate up the fruit of their ground.
І повбивав всякий перворід в країнї їх, первенцїв всієї сили їх.
And he smote every firstborn in their land, the firstfruits of all their vigour.
Випровадив їх з сріблом та золотом, і не було недужого між поколїннями їх.
And he brought them forth with silver and gold; and there was not one feeble among their tribes.
Зрадїв Египет, як вони вийшли; бо обняв їх страх перед ними.
Egypt rejoiced at their departure; for the fear of them had fallen upon them.
Він простер хмару, як покривало, й огонь, щоб ніч осьвітити.
He spread a cloud for a covering, and fire to give light in the night.
Забажали, і перепелиць післав їм, і хлїбом з неба ситив їх.
They asked, and he brought quails, and satisfied them with the bread of heaven.
Розколов скелю і ринула вода, й клекотїла рікою по спеченій землї.
He opened the rock, and waters gushed forth; they ran in the dry places [like] a river.
Бо згадав сьвяте слово своє до Авраама, слуги свого;
For he remembered his holy word, [and] Abraham his servant;
І випровадив нарід свій з радощами, з торжеством вибраних своїх.
And he brought forth his people with gladness, his chosen with rejoicing;
І дав їм землї народів, і забрали в займи труд людей.
And he gave them the lands of the nations, and they took possession of the labour of the peoples:
