Praise the Lord!
Praise the Lord, O my soul!

Буду хвалити Господа, поки життя мого, буду сьпівати псальми Богові моєму, поки мене стане.

I will praise the Lord as long as I live;
I will sing praises to my God while I have my being.

Не вповайте на князїв, на сина чоловічого; нема в його спасення!

Put not your trust in princes,
in a son of man, in whom there is no salvation.

Вийде дух з його, знов до землї своєї він вертає; того ж дня самого задуми його марою стали.

When his breath departs, he returns to the earth;
on that very day his plans perish.

Щасливий той, кому дає поміч Бог Якова, в кого надїя на Господа Бога його!

Blessed is he whose help is the God of Jacob,
whose hope is in the Lord his God,

Що сотворив небо і землю, море і все, що в йому; що стереже вірність по віки;

who made heaven and earth,
the sea, and all that is in them,
who keeps faith forever;

Творить правосуддє пригнобленим, дає хлїба голодним. Господь вязнїв визволяє.

who executes justice for the oppressed,
who gives food to the hungry.
The Lord sets the prisoners free;

Господь слїпим очі вітворяє, Господь пригноблених підносить, Господь любить праведних;

the Lord opens the eyes of the blind.
The Lord lifts up those who are bowed down;
the Lord loves the righteous.

Господь захожих заступає, він сироту і вдову піддержує; а дорогу беззаконних на бік повертає.

The Lord watches over the sojourners;
he upholds the widow and the fatherless,
but the way of the wicked he brings to ruin.

Да царствує по віки Господь, Бог твій, Сионе, з роду в рід. Аллилуя!

The Lord will reign forever,
your God, O Zion, to all generations.
