Перше, чим гори постали, і ти сотворив землю і весь сьвіт, од віку до віку ти єси, Боже.
Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God.
Ти вертаєш людей у зотлїннє і кажеш: Вернїтесь, дїти людські!
Thou turnest man to destruction; and sayest, Return, ye children of men.
Бо тисяча лїт перед очима твоїми, мов день вчорашнїй, що минув, і як одна сторожа в ночі.
For a thousand years in thy sight are but as yesterday when it is past, and as a watch in the night.
Змітаєш їх геть; вони — як сон вранцї, як трава, що прозябає.
Thou carriest them away as with a flood; they are as a sleep: in the morning they are like grass which groweth up.
Вранцї цвите і зеленїє, у вечір вяне і сохне.
In the morning it flourisheth, and groweth up; in the evening it is cut down, and withereth.
Ми бо нидїємо від гнїву твого, від яростї твоєї ми тревожимось.
For we are consumed by thine anger, and by thy wrath are we troubled.
Ти поставив перед собою несправедливостї наші, тайни наші перед сьвітлом лиця твого.
Thou hast set our iniquities before thee, our secret sins in the light of thy countenance.
Всї бо днї наші никнуть од яростї твоєї, лїта наші минають, як одна думка.
For all our days are passed away in thy wrath: we spend our years as a tale that is told.
Днїв віку нашого на всього сїмдесять лїт, а як при силї, вісїмдесять лїт, а слава їх — то труди і біда; час бо скоро минає, і ми зникаєм.
The days of our years are threescore years and ten; and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years, yet is their strength labour and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away.
Хто знає силу гнїву твого, і ярість твою по мірі страху твого?
Who knoweth the power of thine anger? even according to thy fear, so is thy wrath.
Навчи нас, як днї наші лїчити, щоб придбати розумне серце!
So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.
Зглянься, Господи! Доки? І змилосердися над слугами твоїми!
Return, O LORD, how long? and let it repent thee concerning thy servants.
Насити нас вранцї милостю твоєю, і будем радуватись і веселитись по всї днї наші!
O satisfy us early with thy mercy; that we may rejoice and be glad all our days.
Звесели нас по мірі днїв, в котрих понижив нас, по мірі лїт, в котрих ми горя зазнали.
Make us glad according to the days wherein thou hast afflicted us, and the years wherein we have seen evil.
Яви дїла твої слугам твоїм, а величиє твоє над синами їх!
Let thy work appear unto thy servants, and thy glory unto their children.
