І надійшло до мене слово Господнє, таке:

Prophecy against the King of Tyre

And the word of Jehovah came unto me, saying,

Сину чоловічий! Промов до володаря Тирського: Так говорить Господь Бог: за те, що високо вгору несеться твоє серце, й ти мовляєш: Я, наче Бог, я засїв собі, неначе на Божому престолї, в самому серцї моря! та, хоч ти тілько людина, а не Бог, кладеш розум твій поровень із розумом Божим, —

Son of man, say unto the prince of Tyre, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Because thy heart is lifted up, and thou hast said, I am a god, I sit [in] the seat of God, in the heart of the seas, (and thou art a man, and not God,) and thou settest thy heart as the heart of God:

Так, ти маєш себе за мудрійшого над самого Даниїла, й нїяка тайна не закрита перед тобою;

3

behold, thou art wiser than Daniel! nothing secret is obscure for thee;

4

Се ти нїби твоєю мудростю й розумом надбав собі достатки й зібрав у скарбівнях твоїх золото й срібло;

4

by thy wisdom and by thine understanding thou hast gotten thee riches, and hast gotten gold and silver into thy treasures;

5

Ти нїби великою мудростю твоєю та купецтвом твоїм намножив багацтво твоє, й серце твоє згордїло задля достатків твоїх, —

5

by thy great wisdom thou hast by thy traffic increased thy riches, and thy heart is lifted up because of thy riches.

6

За те ось як говорить Господь Бог: Позаяк ти твій розум кладеш ув одну міру з розумом Божим,

Therefore thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Because thou hast set thy heart as the heart of God,

7

Напущу я на тебе чужоземцїв, що найлютїйших з проміж народів, а вони добудуть мечі свої проти всего гарного, що твоя мудрість надбала, та й потемнять сяєво твоє;

7

therefore behold, I will bring strangers upon thee, the terrible of the nations; and they shall draw their swords against the beauty of thy wisdom, and they shall tarnish thy brightness.

8

Вони струтять тебе в яму, й згинеш ти в морі смертю повбиваних.

8

They shall bring thee down to the pit, and thou shalt die the deaths of those that are slain in the heart of the seas.

9

Чи й тодї скажеш убийникові твойму: Я Бог, коли ти в руцї вбийника твого будеш тільки людиною, а не Богом?

9

Wilt thou then say before him that slayeth thee, I am God? but thou shalt be a man, and not God, in the hand of him that pierceth thee.

10

Нї, ти вмреш смертю од руки необрізаних чужоземцїв; я бо сказав се, говорить Господь Бог.

10

Thou shalt die the deaths of the uncircumcised, by the hand of strangers: for I have spoken [it], saith the Lord Jehovah.

11

І надійшло до мене слово Господнє:

A Lament over the King of Tyre

And the word of Jehovah came unto me, saying,

12

Сину чоловічий! заплач-заголоси над Тирським царем і промов до його: Так говорить Господь Бог:

12

Son of man, take up a lamentation upon the king of Tyre, and say unto him, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Thou, who sealest up the measure of perfection, full of wisdom and perfect in beauty,

13

Був єси печаттю звершенностї, повнотою мудростї, вінцем краси. У Едемі, Божому садї, пробував єси. Блискуче дороге каміннє окрашувало твою одежу: карнеоль, топаз, яспис, хризолит, оникс, сапфир, рубин, смарагд і золото, — усе те штучно осаджено в гнїздочках і нанизано, та й наготовлено тобі, скоро на сьвіт родився.

thou wast in Eden, the garden of God. Every precious stone was thy covering: the sardius, the topaz, and the diamond, the chrysolite, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the carbuncle, and the emerald, and gold. The workmanship of thy tambours and of thy pipes was in thee: in the day that thou wast created were they prepared.

Тебе помазав я, щоб, наче херувим, розпростерав охоронні крила; тебе поставив я наче на сьвятій горі Божій, і ти ходив серед огнистого каміння.

14

Thou wast the anointed covering cherub, and I had set thee [so]: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou didst walk up and down in the midst of stones of fire.

15

Без хиби були поступки твої з того часу, як тебе сотворено, аж докіль не знайшлось у тобі беззаконностї.

15

Thou wast perfect in thy ways, from the day that thou wast created, till unrighteousness was found in thee.

16

Та через розлоге купецтво твоє сповнилось внутро твоє неправедностю, і ти согрішив. Тим то скинув я тебе, як нечистого, з Божої гори, вигнав тебе, ти херувиме осяйний, зпосеред огнистого каміння.

16

By the abundance of thy traffic they filled the midst of thee with violence, and thou hast sinned; therefore have I cast thee as profane from the mountain of God, and have destroyed thee, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire.

17

Високо неслось твоє серце задля пишноти твоєї, через гординю стратив єси мудрість твою; за те ж я звалю тебе на землю, оддам тебе царям, щоб поругались над тобою.

17

Thy heart was lifted up because of thy beauty; thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness: I have cast thee to the ground, I have laid thee before kings, that they may behold thee.

18

Через безліч провин твоїх, через неправедну наживу твою в купецтві опоганив єси сьвятощі твої, і я виведу зпосеред тебе огонь, а він пожере тебе, й оберну тебе в попелище перед очима всїх, що поглядати муть на тебе.

By the multitude of thine iniquities, by the unrighteousness of thy traffic, thou hast profaned thy sanctuaries: and I have brought forth a fire out of the midst of thee -- it hath consumed thee; and I have brought thee to ashes upon the earth, in the sight of all them that behold thee.

19

Всї, що знали тебе між народами, здивуються над тобою; ти станешся страховищем і зникнеш по всї віки.

19

All they that know thee among the peoples shall be amazed at thee: thou art become a terror, and thou shalt never be any more.

20

І надійшло слово Господнє до мене:

20

A Prophecy against Sidon

And the word of Jehovah came unto me, saying,

21

Сину чоловічий! повернись видом проти Сидону й вискажи пророцтво проти його,

21

Son of man, set thy face towards Zidon, and prophesy against it,

22

І промов: Так говорить Господь Бог: Ось, я проти тебе, Сидоне, й прославлюсь посеред тебе, й узнають усї, що я — Господь, як розпростру над ним суд караючий і явлю на йому сьвятость мою.

22

and say, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Behold, I am against thee, Zidon, and I will be glorified in the midst of thee; and they shall know that I [am] Jehovah, when I shall have executed judgments in her, and shall be hallowed in her.

23

І пошлю морову пошесть на його й кроворозлив на його улицї, і попадають посеред його побиті мечем, що пожерати ме його з усїх боків; і зрозуміють, що я — Господь.

23

And I will send into her the pestilence, and blood in her streets; and the wounded shall fall in the midst of her, by the sword upon her on every side: and they shall know that I [am] Jehovah.

24

І не буде він уже домові Ізрайлевому колючою терниною, нї болючим бодяком укупі з усїма тими, що навкруг його, та й зрозуміють, що я Господь Бог.

24

And there shall be no more a wounding sting for the house of Israel, nor any grieving thorn, among all that were round about them, that despised them: and they shall know that I [am] the Lord Jehovah.

25

Так говорить Господь Бог: Як я позбіраю дом Ізраїля зміж народів, що між ними вони розсїяні, й покажу себе на них сьвятим перед очима в усїх народів, і жити муть вони в своїй землї, що я надїлив слузї мойму Яковові;

The Restoration of Israel

Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: When I shall have gathered the house of Israel from the peoples among whom they are scattered, and shall be hallowed in them in the sight of the nations, then shall they dwell in their land which I have given to my servant Jacob.

26

Тодї будуть вони жити в нїй безпеч, і будуть будувати доми, й насаджувати виноградники, й жити муть собі безпеч, я бо заведу суд над усїма, що їм бажають лиха, й узнають вони, що я — Господь, Бог їх.

26

They shall dwell in it in safety, and shall build houses and plant vineyards; and they shall dwell in safety, when I have executed judgments upon all those that despised them round about them: and they shall know that I [am] Jehovah their God.
