The Man with a Measuring Rod
In the twenty-fifth year of our captivity, in the beginning of the year, on the tenth of the month, in the fourteenth year after that the city was smitten, on that same day the hand of Jehovah was upon me, and he brought me thither.

У Божих видивах перенїс він мене в Ізраїлську землю й поставив на дуже високій горі; з полуденнього боку виднїлось на нїй щось таке, наче будівля якого міста.
In the visions of God brought he me into the land of Israel, and set me upon a very high mountain; and upon it was as the building of a city, on the south.
Привів же він мене туди, й я дивлюсь, аж ось, чоловік із виду, наче блискуча мідь. У руцї в його була лняна поворозка й тичина до міряння, а стояв він коло воріт.
And he brought me thither, and behold, there was a man whose appearance was like the appearance of brass, with a flax-cord in his hand, and a measuring-reed; and he stood in the gate.
І промовив той чоловік до мене: Сину чоловічий! дивись очима твоїми, й слухай ушима твоїми, та й бери собі до серця все те, що я буду тобі показувати; тебе бо на те й приведено сюди, щоб я се показав тобі; а все, що бачити меш, звісти домові Ізрайлевому.
And the man said unto me, Son of man, behold with thine eyes, and hear with thine ears, and set thy heart upon all that I shall shew thee; for in order that it might be shewn unto thee art thou brought hither. Declare to the house of Israel all that thou seest.
І ось, знадвору храму — мур навкруги; в руцї ж у того чоловіка мірильна жердка завдовжки шість локот із долонею до локтя; і виміряв він у тій будівлї одну жердку завширшки, а одну жердку заввишки.
The East Gate
And behold, there was a wall on the outside of the house round about, and in the man's hand a measuring-reed of six cubits, [each] of one cubit and a hand breadth. And he measured the breadth of the building, one reed; and the height, one reed.

And he came to the gate which looked toward the east, and went up its steps; and he measured the threshold of the gate, one reed broad; and the other threshold one reed broad.
І в кожній боковій коморі одна тичина заввишки а одна завширшки, а між коморами пять локот, та й в порозї воріт коло передньої сьвітлицї в воротях із середини — одна жердка;
And [each] chamber was one reed long and one reed broad; and between the chambers were five cubits; and the threshold of the gate, beside the porch of the gate within, was one reed.
І виміряв передню сьвітлицю в брамі з середини на одну жердку,
And he measured the porch of the gate within, one reed.
А в присїнку коло брами виміряв вісїм локот, стовпи ж його на два ліктї, а сїни в воротях — виходом у середину.
And he measured the porch of the gate, eight cubits; and the posts thereof, two cubits; and the porch of the gate was inward.
А бокових комор у воротях на схід сонця було три по одному боцї, а три по другому боцї; всї три були однієї міри, а так само й стовпи з обох боків однієї міри.
And the chambers of the gate which was toward the east were three on this side and three on that side: they three were of one measure; and the posts on this side and on that side had one measure.
І виміряв ширину ввіходу в ворота на десять локот, а довжину воріт на тринайцять локот.
And he measured the breadth of the entry of the gate, ten cubits; [and] the length of the gate, thirteen cubits.
А перед коморами був передїл, один локіть завширшки по однім боцї й один локіть по другім боцї; сама ж комора мірою шість локот по однім і шість локот по другім боцї.
And there was a border before the chambers of one cubit, and a border of one cubit on the other side; and the chambers were six cubits on this side, and six cubits on that side.
Опісля виміряв ворота від криші однієї комори до другої двайцять і пять локот ширини; двері проти дверей.
And he measured the gate from the roof of [one] chamber to the roof [of the other], a breadth of five and twenty cubits, entry opposite entry.
А в стовпах налїчив шістьдесять локот, у кожному стовпі коло двору й воріт,
And he made posts, sixty cubits, and by the post was the court of the gate round about.
І від переднього боку ввіходу в ворота до переднього боку з середини воріт — пятьдесять локот.
And from the front of the gate of the entrance unto the front of the porch of the inner gate were fifty cubits.
І були вікна з кратами в бокових коморах і в їх стовпах навпроти середини в воротях навкруги, а на стовпах були пальми.
And there were closed windows to the chambers, and to their posts within the gate round about, and likewise to the projections; and the windows round about were inward; and upon [each] post were palm-trees.
Тодї привів мене на переднє подвіррє, а там були сьвітлицї, й камяний поміст навкруги двору; трийцять сьвітлиць на тому помостї.
The Outer Court
And he brought me into the outer court, and behold, there were cells, and a pavement made for the court round about: thirty cells were upon the pavement.

І був сей поміст по боках воріт, після ширини воріт, тілько був сей поміст нижше.
And the pavement was by the side of the gates, answering to the length of the gates, [namely] the lower pavement.
І виміряв ширину від нижніх воріт до краю середнього подвірря сто локот на всхід і на північ.
And he measured the breadth from the front of the lower gate unto the front of the inner court outside, a hundred cubits eastward and northward.
Він виміряв іще довжину й ширину воріт знадвірнього двору, оберненого до півночі,
The North Gate
And the gate of the outer court, that looked toward the north, he measured its length and its breadth.
And the gate of the outer court, that looked toward the north, he measured its length and its breadth.
І на узбочі сьвітлицї при них, три по однім боцї й три по другім боцї; й стовпи їх і передїли їх були тієї ж міри, як і в першій брамі — завдовжки пятьдесять локот і завширшки двайцять і пять локот.
And its chambers were three on this side and three on that side; and its posts and its projections were according to the measure of the first gate: its length was fifty cubits, and breadth five and twenty cubits.
Вікна їх і передїли їх і пальми їх тієї ж міри, як у брами, що обернена на схід сонця; й входилось до них сїмма сходами, й перед ними передїли.
And its windows, and its projections, and its palm-trees were according to the measure of the gate that looked toward the east; and they went up to it by seven steps; and the projections thereof were before them.
І в середнє подвіррє є ворота навпроти воріт північніх й восточніх, а наміряв од воріт до воріт сто локот.
And the gate of the inner court was opposite to the gate toward the north, and toward the east; and he measured from gate to gate a hundred cubits.
І повів мене на полуднє, а там ворота полуденні; й виміряв у стовпах і передїлах таку ж міру.
The South Gate
And he brought me toward the south: and behold, there was a gate toward the south; and he measured its posts and its projections according to these measures.

І вікна в їх і в переддвіррях їх такі самі, як і ті вікна — завдовжки пятьдесять локот, а завширшки двайцять і пять локот.
And there were windows to it and to its projections round about, like those windows: the length was fifty cubits, and the breadth five and twenty cubits.
Підхід до них на сїм сходів, і переддвірки поперед ними й пальмові окраси — одна по сїм боцї а одна по тім боцї на стовпах.
And there were seven steps to go up to it; and its projections were before them; and it had palm-trees, one on this side and one on that side, upon its posts.
І в середнє подвіррє була полудення брама; і наміряв од воріт до воріт полуденніх сто локот.
And there was a gate to the inner court toward the south; and he measured from gate to gate toward the south, a hundred cubits.
І привів мене через полуденні ворота в середнє подвіррє, і наміряв у полуденній брамі ту ж саму міру.
The Gates of the Inner Court
And he brought me into the inner court by the south gate; and he measured the south gate according to these measures:

and its chambers, and its posts, and its projections, according to these measures; and there were windows to it and to its projections round about: the length was fifty cubits, and the breadth twenty-five cubits.

And there were projections round about, twenty-five cubits long, and five cubits broad.

And its projections were toward the outer court; and there were palm-trees upon its posts: and its ascent was [by] eight steps.

Тодї повів мене до північніх воріт та й наміряв у них ту ж саму міру.
And he brought me to the north gate, and he measured [it] according to these measures:
Бокові сьвітлицї при них, стовпи їх і вікна в їх були навкруги; усього довжини пятьдесять локот, а ширини двайцять і пять локот.
its chambers, its posts, and its projections; and there were windows to it round about: the length was fifty cubits, and the breadth twenty-five cubits.
Переддвірки в них були на крайнє подвіррє, й пальми на стовпах у них по сїм і по тім боцї. Підходу до них пять сходів.
And its posts were toward the outer court; and there were palm-trees upon its posts, on this side and on that side: and its ascent was [by] eight steps.
Була також сьвітлиця з увіходом до неї у ворітніх стовпів; там обмивано жертви на всепаленнє.
Eight Tables for Sacrifices
And there was a cell and its entry by the posts of the gates; there they rinsed the burnt-offering.

And at the side without, at the ascent to the entry of the north gate, were two tables; and on the other side, which was at the porch of the gate, were two tables:
Чотири столи по сїй руцї й чотири столи по тій руцї по боках воріт: усїх вісїм столів, що на них заколювано жертви.
four tables on this side, and four tables on that side, by the side of the gate, -- eight tables, whereon they slew [the sacrifice],
І чотири столи на пораннє коло всепалення були з тесаного каменя, завдовжки півтора ліктя і завширшки півтора ліктя, а заввишки один лікоть; на їх кладено знаряддя до заколювання всепальної жертви й инших жертов
-- and at the ascent, four tables of hewn stone, of a cubit and a half long, and a cubit and a half broad, and one cubit high; whereon also they laid the instruments with which they slew the burnt-offering and the sacrifice.
І гаки на одну долоню приправлені до стїн у будівлї навкруги, а на столах кладено жертівне мясиво.
And the double hooks of a hand breadth were fastened round about within; and upon the tables [they put] the flesh of the offering.
З надвору середньої брами були сьвітлицї про сьпіваків; на середньому подвіррі, з боку північніх воріт, одна обернена передом на південь, а друга, з боку полуденніх воріт, обернена передом на північ.
Rooms for the Priests
And outside the inner gate were two cells in the inner court, one at the side of the north gate, and its front towards the south; the other was at the side of the south gate, the front towards the north.
And outside the inner gate were two cells in the inner court, one at the side of the north gate, and its front towards the south; the other was at the side of the south gate, the front towards the north.
І сказав він менї: Ся сьвітлиця, що передом на полудне, — про сьвященників, що чувають, стережучи храму;
And he said unto me, This cell whose front is towards the south is for the priests, the keepers of the charge of the house.
А сьвітлиця, що передом на північ, — про сьвященників, що пильнують служби коло жертівника; се сини Садокові, що самі одні зміж синів Левієвих приступають перед Господа, щоб йому служити.
And the cell whose front is toward the north is for the priests, the keepers of the charge of the altar. These are the sons of Zadok, those who, from among the sons of Levi, approach unto Jehovah to minister unto him.
І наміряв у подвіррі сто локот довжини й сто локот ширини, було бо чотирокутнє, а перед храмом стояв жертівник.
The Inner Courtyard
And he measured the court, the length a hundred cubits, and the breadth a hundred cubits, four square: and the altar was before the house.

And he brought me to the porch of the house; and he measured the post of the porch, five cubits on this side, and five cubits on that side; and the breadth of the gate, three cubits on this side, and three cubits on that side.
Завдовжки сїни двайцять локот, а завширшки одинайцять локот, а входилось у них пятьма сходами; й були стовпи на причілках, один правобіч, а другий лївобіч.
The length of the porch was twenty cubits, and the breadth eleven cubits, even by the steps whereby they went up to it; and there were pillars by the posts, one on this side, and one on that side.
