Яке менї ще дїло до ідолів, скаже Ефраїм. Я ж вислухаю його й зглянуся на його; я буду йому зеленїючим кипарисом, од мене будеш мати плоди.

Ефраїм скаже: «І що мені ще до ідолів?» Я відповідаю і дивлюсь на нього. Я, наче кипарис зелений, від мене буде плід твій.

Єфрем, — що йому до бовва́нів іще? Я вислухав вже та побачив його, Я для нього немов кипари́с той зелений: з Мене зна́йдений бу́де твій плід“.

В Єфремі, що ще йому та ідолам? Я його впокорив, і Я його скріплю. Я — як тінистий кедр, у Мене знайдеться твій плід.

«Что мне ещё за дело до идолов?» — скажет Ефрем. Я услышу его и призрю на него; Я буду как зеленеющий кипарис; от Меня будут тебе плоды.

Who is wise, and he shall understand these things? prudent, and he shall know them? for the ways of the LORD are right, and the just shall walk in them: but the transgressors shall fall therein.
