І ангелові церкви в Сардах напиши: Се глаголе Той, що має сїм духів Божих, і сїм звізд. Знаю твої дїла, що маєш імя, що живеш, а мертвий єси.
To the Church in Sardis
“And to the angel of the church in Sardis write: ‘The words of him who has the seven spirits of God and the seven stars.
“‘I know your works. You have the reputation of being alive, but you are dead.
“And to the angel of the church in Sardis write: ‘The words of him who has the seven spirits of God and the seven stars.
“‘I know your works. You have the reputation of being alive, but you are dead.
Будь чуйний, і утверджуй инше, що має вмерти, бо не знайшов я, щоб дїла твої були скінчені перед Богом.
Wake up, and strengthen what remains and is about to die, for I have not found your works complete in the sight of my God.
Тим то згадай, як приняв і чув єси, і хорони, і покай ся, коли ж не чувати меш, прийду на тебе, як злодїй, і не знати меш, якого часу прийду на тебе.
Remember, then, what you received and heard. Keep it, and repent. If you will not wake up, I will come like a thief, and you will not know at what hour I will come against you.
Та маєш не багато імен в Сардах, що не опоганили одеж своїх; вони ходити муть зо мною у білих, бо достойні.
Yet you have still a few names in Sardis, people who have not soiled their garments, and they will walk with me in white, for they are worthy.
Хто побідить, то з'одягнеть ся в білу одїж, і не витру імя його з книги життя, і визнаю імя його перед Отцем моїм, і перед ангелами Його.
The one who conquers will be clothed thus in white garments, and I will never blot his name out of the book of life. I will confess his name before my Father and before his angels.
Хто має ухо, нехай слухає, що Дух глаголе церквам.
He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.’
І ангелові церкви, що в Филадельфиї, напиши: Се глаголе Сьвятий, Правдивий, що має ключ Давидів, котрий відчиняє, і нїхто не зачинить, і зачиняє, і нїхто не відчинить:

“And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write: ‘The words of the holy one, the true one, who has the key of David, who opens and no one will shut, who shuts and no one opens.

Знаю твої дїла; ось дав я перед тобою незачинені двері, і нїхто не може зачинити їх; ти малу маєш силу, а схоронив моє слово, і не відрік ся імени мого.
“‘I know your works. Behold, I have set before you an open door, which no one is able to shut. I know that you have but little power, and yet you have kept my word and have not denied my name.
Ось, я дам, що деякі із зборища сатаниного, котрі зовуть себе Жидами, та ними не є, а брешуть; ось я зроблю, щоб вони прийшли, і поклонились перед ногами твоїми, і пізнали, що я полюбив тебе.
Behold, I will make those of the synagogue of Satan who say that they are Jews and are not, but lie — behold, I will make them come and bow down before your feet, and they will learn that I have loved you.
Яко ж хоронив єси слово терпиливости моєї, то й я тебе схороню від години спокуси, що має прийти на цїлу вселенну, спокусити домуючих на землї.
Because you have kept my word about patient endurance, I will keep you from the hour of trial that is coming on the whole world, to try those who dwell on the earth.
Ось, ійду скоро; держи, що маєш, щоб нїхто не взяв вінця твого.
I am coming soon. Hold fast what you have, so that no one may seize your crown.
Хто побідить, зроблю його стовпом в храмі Бога мого, і вже не вийде геть; і напишу на ньому імя Бога мого, і ймя города Бога мого, нового Єрусалиму, сходящого з неба від Бога мого, і ймя моє нове.
The one who conquers, I will make him a pillar in the temple of my God. Never shall he go out of it, and I will write on him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, the new Jerusalem, which comes down from my God out of heaven, and my own new name.
Хто має ухо, нехай слухає, що Дух глаголе церквам.
He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.’
І ангелові церкви Лаодикийської напиши: Се глаголе Амінь, сьвідок вірний і правдивий, почин створіння Божого:
To the Church in Laodicea
“And to the angel of the church in Laodicea write: ‘The words of the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of God’s creation.

Знаю твої дїла, що ти нї зимний нї гарячий; о, коли б ти був зимний або гарячий!
“‘I know your works: you are neither cold nor hot. Would that you were either cold or hot!
Тим то, яко ж лїтний єси, і нї зимний нї гарячий, викину тебе з уст моїх.
So, because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth.
Бо кажеш: Я багатий, і збагатїв, і нїчого не потрібую; а не знаєш, що ти бідолашний, і мізерний, і вбогий, і слїпий і голий.
For you say, I am rich, I have prospered, and I need nothing, not realizing that you are wretched, pitiable, poor, blind, and naked.
Раджу тобі купити в мене золото, огнем перечищене, щоб збагатив ся; і білу одїж, щоб з'одягнув ся, і не було видно сорому наготи твоєї; і мастю від очей намасти очі твої, щоб бачив.
I counsel you to buy from me gold refined by fire, so that you may be rich, and white garments so that you may clothe yourself and the shame of your nakedness may not be seen, and salve to anoint your eyes, so that you may see.
Я, кого люблю, докоряю і караю; будь же ревний і покай ся.
Those whom I love, I reprove and discipline, so be zealous and repent.
Ось, стою під дверми і стукаю; коли хто почує мій голос, і відчинить двері, то ввійду до нього, і вечеряти му з ним, а він зо мною.
Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with me.
Хто побідить, дам йому сїсти зо мною на престолї моїм, яко ж і я побідив, і сїв з Отцем моїм на престолї Його.
The one who conquers, I will grant him to sit with me on my throne, as I also conquered and sat down with my Father on his throne.
