The Flood
Then the LORD said to Noah, “Enter the ark, you and all your household, for you alone I have seen to be righteous before Me in this time.

Із усякої чистої худоби візьмеш собі по семеро, самця та самицю її, а з худоби нечистої — двоє: самця та самицю її.
“You shall take with you of every clean animal by sevens, a male and his female; and of the animals that are not clean two, a male and his female;
Також із птаства небесного по семеро, самця та самицю, щоб насіння сховати живим на поверхні всієї землі.
also of the birds of the sky, by sevens, male and female, to keep offspring alive on the face of all the earth.
Ось бо по семи днях Я литиму на землю дощ сорок день і сорок ночей, — і всяку істоту, яку Я вчинив, зітру з-над поверхні землі!“
“For after seven more days, I will send rain on the earth forty days and forty nights; and I will blot out from the face of the land every living thing that I have made.”
І зробив Ной усе, як звелів був Господь.
Noah did according to all that the LORD had commanded him.
А Ной був віку шостисот літ, і стався пото́п, — вода на землі.
Now Noah was six hundred years old when the flood of water came upon the earth.
І ввійшов Ной, і сини його, і жінка його, і невістки його з ним до ковчегу перед водою потопу.
Then Noah and his sons and his wife and his sons’ wives with him entered the ark because of the water of the flood.
Із чистої худоби та з худоби, що нечиста вона, і з птаства, і всього, що плазує на землі,
Of clean animals and animals that are not clean and birds and everything that creeps on the ground,

І сталося по семи днях, — і во́ди потопу лину́ли на землю.
It came about after the seven days, that the water of the flood came upon the earth.
Року шостої сотні літ життя Ноєвого, місяця другого, сімнадцятого дня місяця, — цього дня відкрилися всі джере́ла великої безодні, і розчинилися небесні розтвори.
In the six hundredth year of Noah’s life, in the second month, on the seventeenth day of the month, on the same day all the fountains of the great deep burst open, and the floodgates of the sky were opened.
І був дощ на землі сорок день і сорок ночей.
The rain fell upon the earth for forty days and forty nights.
Того саме дня до ковчегу ввійшов Ной, і Сим, і Хам та Яфет, сини Ноєві, і жінка Ноєва, і три невістки його з ними,
On the very same day Noah and Shem and Ham and Japheth, the sons of Noah, and Noah’s wife and the three wives of his sons with them, entered the ark,
вони та всяка звірина за родом її, і всяка худоба за родом її, і всяке плазуюче, що плазу́є по землі, за родом його, і всяке птаство за родом його, усяка пташка крилата.
they and every beast after its kind, and all the cattle after their kind, and every creeping thing that creeps on the earth after its kind, and every bird after its kind, all sorts of birds.
І ввійшли до Ноя, до ковчегу по двоє із кожного тіла, що в нім дух життя.
So they went into the ark to Noah, by twos of all flesh in which was the breath of life.
А те, що ввійшло, — самець і самиця з кожного тіла ввійшли, як звелів йому Бог. І замкнув Господь за ним ковчега.
Those that entered, male and female of all flesh, entered as God had commanded him; and the LORD closed it behind him.
І був пото́п сорок день на землі, і збільшилась вода, і поне́сла ковчега. І він ви́соко став над землею.
Then the flood came upon the earth for forty days, and the water increased and lifted up the ark, so that it rose above the earth.
І прибула вода, і сильно збільши́лась вона на землі, — і пливав ковчег на поверхні води.
The water prevailed and increased greatly upon the earth, and the ark floated on the surface of the water.
І дуже-дуже вода на землі прибула́, і покрились усі гори високі, що під небом усім.
The water prevailed more and more upon the earth, so that all the high mountains everywhere under the heavens were covered.
На п'ятнадцять ліктів уго́ру вода прибула, — і покрилися гори.
The water prevailed fifteen cubits higher, and the mountains were covered.
І вимерло всяке тіло, що рухається на землі: серед птаства, і серед скотини, і серед звірини, і серед усіх плазунів, що плазують по землі, і кожна люди́на.
All flesh that moved on the earth perished, birds and cattle and beasts and every swarming thing that swarms upon the earth, and all mankind;
Усе, що в ніздрях його дух життя, з усього, що на суходолі — вимерло було.
of all that was on the dry land, all in whose nostrils was the breath of the spirit of life, died.
І винищив Бог усяку істоту на поверхні землі, від людини аж до скотини, аж до плазуна́, і аж до птаства небесного, — вони стерлись з землі. І зостався тільки Ной та те, що з ним у ковчезі було.
Thus He blotted out every living thing that was upon the face of the land, from man to animals to creeping things and to birds of the sky, and they were blotted out from the earth; and only Noah was left, together with those that were with him in the ark.
