The sons of Judah were Perez, Hezron, Carmi, Hur and Shobal.
The sons of Judah were Perez, Hezron, Carmi, Hur and Shobal.
А Реая, син Шовалів, породив Яхата, а Яхат породив Ахуман та Лахада, — оце ро́ди цор'атян.
Reaiah the son of Shobal became the father of Jahath, and Jahath became the father of Ahumai and Lahad. These were the families of the Zorathites.
А оці Аві-Етамові: Їзреел, і Їшма, і Їдбаш, а ім'я́ їхній сестрі — Гаццелелпоні.
These were the sons of Etam: Jezreel, Ishma and Idbash; and the name of their sister was Hazzelelponi.
А Пенуїл — батько Ґедора, а Езер — батько Хуші. Оце сини Хура, Єфремового перворо́дженого, батька Віфлеєму.
Penuel was the father of Gedor, and Ezer the father of Hushah. These were the sons of Hur, the firstborn of Ephrathah, the father of Bethlehem.
А в Ашхура, батька Текої, були́ дві жінки: Хел'а та Наара.
Ashhur, the father of Tekoa, had two wives, Helah and Naarah.
І породила йому Наара Ахуззама, і Хефера, і Темені, і Ахаштарі, — оце сини́ Наарині.
Naarah bore him Ahuzzam, Hepher, Temeni and Haahashtari. These were the sons of Naarah.
А Коц породив Анува, і Гаццовеву, і роди Ахархела, сина Гарумового.
Koz became the father of Anub and Zobebah, and the families of Aharhel the son of Harum.
А Ябец був поважа́ний більше від своїх братів, і мати його назвала йому́ ім'я́ Ябец, говорячи: Я породила його в болісті.
Jabez was more honorable than his brothers, and his mother named him Jabez saying, “Because I bore him with pain.”
І кликнув Ябец до Бога Ізраїлевого, говорячи: „Коли б Ти, благословляючи, поблагословив мене, і побільши́в границю мою, і рука Твоя була зо мною, і зробив охорону від ли́ха, щоб не засмучувати мене!“ І Бог послав, чого він просив.
Now Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, “Oh that You would bless me indeed and enlarge my border, and that Your hand might be with me, and that You would keep me from harm that it may not pain me!” And God granted him what he requested.
А Келув, брат Шухи, породив Мехіра, — він батько Ештона.
Chelub the brother of Shuhah became the father of Mehir, who was the father of Eshton.
А Ештон породив Бет-Рафу, і Пасеаха, і Техінну, батька міста Нахаша. Це люди Рехи.
Eshton became the father of Beth-rapha and Paseah, and Tehinnah the father of Ir-nahash. These are the men of Recah.
А сини Кеназа: Отніїл та Серая. А сини Отніїлові: Хатат.
Now the sons of Kenaz were Othniel and Seraiah. And the sons of Othniel were Hathath and Meonothai.
А Меонотай породив Офру, а Серая породив Яава, батька Ремісничої Долини, бо вони були ремісники́.
Meonothai became the father of Ophrah, and Seraiah became the father of Joab the father of Ge-harashim, for they were craftsmen.
А сини Калева, Єфуннеєвого сина: Іру, Ела та Наам. А Елин син — Кеназ.
The sons of Caleb the son of Jephunneh were Iru, Elah and Naam; and the son of Elah was Kenaz.
А сини Єгаллел'їлові: Зіф і Зіфа, Тір'я й Асар'їл.
The sons of Jehallelel were Ziph and Ziphah, Tiria and Asarel.
А сини Езри: Єтер, і Меред, і Ефер, і Ялон. А оце сини Біт'ї, фараонової дочки́, що взяв Меред; і вона зачала́ й породила Мір'яма, і Шаммая, і Їшбаха, батька Ештемої.
The sons of Ezrah were Jether, Mered, Epher and Jalon. (And these are the sons of Bithia the daughter of Pharaoh, whom Mered took) and she conceived and bore Miriam, Shammai and Ishbah the father of Eshtemoa.
А жінка його юде́янка породила Єреда, батька Ґедору, і Хевера, батька Сохо, і Єкутіїла, батька Заноаха.
His Jewish wife bore Jered the father of Gedor, and Heber the father of Soco, and Jekuthiel the father of Zanoah.
А сини жінки Годійї, сестри Нахама, батька ґарм'янина Кеїли та маахатянина Ештемоа,
The sons of the wife of Hodiah, the sister of Naham, were the fathers of Keilah the Garmite and Eshtemoa the Maacathite.
а сини Симеонові: Амнон, і Рінна, Бен-Ханан, і Тілон. А сини Їш'ї: Зохет та Бен-Зохет.
The sons of Shimon were Amnon and Rinnah, Benhanan and Tilon. And the sons of Ishi were Zoheth and Ben-zoheth.
Сини Шели, Юдиного сина: Ер, ба́тько Лехи, і Лада, батько Мареші, і ро́ди дому робітникі́в віссону, з дому Ашбеа.
The sons of Shelah the son of Judah were Er the father of Lecah and Laadah the father of Mareshah, and the families of the house of the linen workers at Beth-ashbea;
І Йокін, і люди Козеви, і Йоаш, і Сараф, що володіли Моавом, і Яшуві-Лехем. Та це справи старода́вні.
and Jokim, the men of Cozeba, Joash, Saraph, who ruled in Moab, and Jashubi-lehem. And the records are ancient.
Вони були ганчарі́, і заме́шкували садки́ та горо́ди; вони жили там у царя для його роботи.
These were the potters and the inhabitants of Netaim and Gederah; they lived there with the king for his work.
Сини Симеонові: Немуїл, і Ямім, Ярів, Зерах, Саул,
Descendants of Simeon
The sons of Simeon were Nemuel and Jamin, Jarib, Zerah, Shaul;
його син — Шаллум, його син — Мівсам, його син — Мішма.
Shallum his son, Mibsam his son, Mishma his son.
А сини Мішми: Хаммуїл — син його, його син — Заккур, його син — Шім'ї.
The sons of Mishma were Hammuel his son, Zaccur his son, Shimei his son.
А в Шім'ї було шістнадцять синів та шість дочо́к, а брати його не мали багатьо́х синів, і не помно́жили ввесь свій рід так, як сини Юдині.
Now Shimei had sixteen sons and six daughters; but his brothers did not have many sons, nor did all their family multiply like the sons of Judah.
І осілися вони в Беер-Шеві, і в Моладі, і в Хацар-Шуалі,
They lived at Beersheba, Moladah and Hazar-shual,
і в Бет-Маркавоті, і в Хацар-Сусімі, і в Бет-Бір'і, і в Шаараїмі, — оце їхні міста аж до запарюва́ння Давидового.
Beth-marcaboth, Hazar-susim, Beth-biri and Shaaraim. These were their cities until the reign of David.
А їхні осади: Етам, і Аїн, Ріммон, і Тохен, і Ашан, — п'я́теро міст.
Their villages were Etam, Ain, Rimmon, Tochen and Ashan, five cities;
А всі їхні оса́ди, що навколо тих міст, аж до Баалу; це місця їх осе́лення та родоводи їх про них.
and all their villages that were around the same cities as far as Baal. These were their settlements, and they have their genealogy.
і Йоїл, і Єгу, син Йошів'ї, сина Сераї, сина Асіїлового,
and Joel and Jehu the son of Joshibiah, the son of Seraiah, the son of Asiel,
і Елйоенай, і Яко́ва, і Шохая, і Асая, і Адіїл, і Єсіміїл, і Беная,
and Elioenai, Jaakobah, Jeshohaiah, Asaiah, Adiel, Jesimiel, Benaiah,
і Зіза, син Шіф'і, сина Аллона, сина Єдаї, сина Шімрі, сина Шемаї.
Ziza the son of Shiphi, the son of Allon, the son of Jedaiah, the son of Shimri, the son of Shemaiah;
Це ті, що входять в імена́ князів у свої ро́ди, а дім своїх батьків сильно розмно́жили.
these mentioned by name were leaders in their families; and their fathers’ houses increased greatly.
І пішли вони до Мево-Ґедору, аж до схі́днього боку долини, щоб пошукати пасови́ська для своїх ота́р.
They went to the entrance of Gedor, even to the east side of the valley, to seek pasture for their flocks.
І знайшли вони пасови́сько сите та добре, а той край був просто́рий, і тихий та спокійний, бо від Хама похо́дили ті, що сиділи там колись.
They found rich and good pasture, and the land was broad and quiet and peaceful; for those who lived there formerly were Hamites.
І пішли ці, записані імена́ми за днів Єзекії, царя Юдиного, і розби́ли їхні намети там, і побили меінітів, що були зна́йдені там, що їх учинили закля́ттям аж до цього дня, й осілися замість них, бо там пасови́сько для їхньої дрібно́ї худоби.
These, recorded by name, came in the days of Hezekiah king of Judah, and attacked their tents and the Meunites who were found there, and destroyed them utterly to this day, and lived in their place, because there was pasture there for their flocks.
А з них, з Симеонових синів, пішли на го́ру Сеїр п'ять сотень чоловіка, а Пелатія, і Неарія, і Рефая, і Уззіїл, сини Їш'ї, були на чолі́ їх.
From them, from the sons of Simeon, five hundred men went to Mount Seir, with Pelatiah, Neariah, Rephaiah and Uzziel, the sons of Ishi, as their leaders.
