Отож, і від цього тремтить моє серце і зру́шилось з місця свого́.
Elihu Proclaims God's Majesty
Aye, my heart trembleth at this also, and leapeth up out of its place:
Aye, my heart trembleth at this also, and leapeth up out of its place:
Ува́жливо слухайте гук Його голосу, і грім, що несеться із уст Його, —
Hear attentively the roar of his voice, and the murmur going forth from his mouth.
його Він пускає попід усім небом, а світло Своє — аж на кі́нці землі.
He sendeth it forth under the whole heaven, and his lightning unto the ends of the earth.
За Ним грім ричить левом, гримить гу́ком своєї вели́чности, і його Він не стримує, почується голос Його.
After it a voice roareth: he thundereth with the voice of his excellency, and holdeth not back the flashes when his voice is heard.
Бог предивно гримить Своїм голосом, вчиняє великі діла́, яких не розуміємо ми.
God thundereth marvellously with his voice, doing great things which we do not comprehend.
До снігу говорить Він: „Падай на землю!“ а доще́ві та зливі: „Будьте сильні́!“
For he saith to the snow, Fall on the earth! and to the pouring rain, even the pouring rains of his might.
Він руку печа́тає ко́жній люди́ні, щоб пізнали всі люди про ді́ло Його.
He sealeth up the hand of every man; that all men may know his work.
І звір входить у схо́вище, і живе в своїх лі́гвищах.
And the wild beast goeth into its lair, and they remain in their dens.
Із кімна́ти південної буря прихо́дить, а з вітру півні́чного — хо́лод.
From the chamber [of the south] cometh the whirlwind; and cold from the winds of the north.
Від Божого по́диху лід повстає, і во́дна широкість тужа́віє.
By the breath of God ice is given; and the breadth of the waters is straitened.
Тако́ж Він обтя́жує ві́льгістю ту́чу, і світло своє розпоро́шує хмара,
Also with plentiful moisture he loadeth the thick clouds, his light dispels the cloud;
і вона по околицях ходить та блукає за Його про́водом, щоб чинити все те, що накаже Він їй на поверхні вселе́нної, —
And they are turned every way by his guidance, that they may do whatsoever he commandeth them upon the face of the circuit of the earth,
він наво́дить її чи на кару для кра́ю Свого, чи на милість.
Whether he cause it to come as a rod, or for his land, or in mercy.
Бери, Йове, оце до ушей, уставай і розваж Божі чу́да!
Hearken unto this, Job; stand still and discern the wondrous works of God.
Чи ти знаєш, що́ Бог накладає на них, і зая́снює світло із хмари Своєї?
Dost thou know how +God hath disposed them, and how he causeth the lightning of his cloud to flash?
Чи ти знаєш, як но́ситься хмара в повітрі, про чу́да Того, Який має безва́дне знання́,
Dost thou know about the balancings of the clouds, the wondrous works of him that is perfect in knowledge?
ти, що ша́ти твої стають теплі, як сти́шується земля з по́лудня?
How thy garments become warm when he quieteth the earth by the south wind?
Чи ти розтягав із Ним хмару, міцну́, немов дзе́ркало лите?
Hast thou with him spread out the sky, firm, like a molten mirror?
Навчи нас, що скажем Йому́? Через темність ми не впорядку́ємо слова́.
Teach us what we shall say unto him! We cannot order [our words] by reason of darkness.
Чи Йому оповісться, що́ буду казати? Чи зміг хто сказа́ти, що Він знищений буде?
Shall it be told him if I would speak? if a man [so] say, surely he shall be swallowed up.
І тепер ми не бачимо світла, щоб світило у хмарах, та вітер пере́йде — і ви́чистить їх.
And now [men] see not the light as it gleameth, it is [hidden] in the skies. But the wind passeth by and cleareth them.
Із півно́чі прихо́дить воно, немов золото те, та над Богом вели́чність страшна́.
From the north cometh gold; with +God is terrible majesty.
Всемогутній, — Його не знайшли ми, Він могутній у силі, але Він не мучить ніко́го судом та великою правдою.
The Almighty, we cannot find him out: excellent in power, and in judgment, and in abundance of justice, he doth not afflict.
