то він проказав: Полюблю́ Тебе, Господи, сило моя,
Let my sentence come forth from thy presence; let thine eyes behold the things that are equal.
Господь моя ске́ля й тверди́ня моя, і Він мій Спаси́тель! Мій Бог — моя ске́ля, сховаюсь я в ній, Він щит мій, і ріг Він спасі́ння мого, Він башта моя!
Thou hast proved mine heart; thou hast visited me in the night; thou hast tried me, and shalt find nothing; I am purposed that my mouth shall not transgress.
Я кли́чу: Преславний Госпо́дь, і я ви́зволений від своїх ворогів!
Concerning the works of men, by the word of thy lips I have kept me from the paths of the destroyer.
Тене́та смерте́льні мене оточили, і пото́ки велійяа́ла лякають мене!
Hold up my goings in thy paths, that my footsteps slip not.
Тене́та шео́лу мене оточили, і па́стки смертельні мене попере́дили.
I have called upon thee, for thou wilt hear me, O God: incline thine ear unto me, and hear my speech.
В тісноті́ своїй кличу до Господа, і до Бога свого я взива́ю, — Він почує мій голос із храму Свого́, і доходить мій зойк до лиця Його в уші Йому́!
Shew thy marvellous lovingkindness, O thou that savest by thy right hand them which put their trust in thee from those that rise up against them.
Захиталась земля й затремтіла, і затрясли́сь і хитались підва́лини гір, — бо Він запали́вся від гніву:
Keep me as the apple of the eye, hide me under the shadow of thy wings,
із ні́здер Його бухнув дим, з Його ж уст — пожиру́щий огонь, і жар запалився від Нього!
From the wicked that oppress me, from my deadly enemies, who compass me about.
Він небо простяг — і спустився, а хмара густа́ під ногами Його́.
They are inclosed in their own fat: with their mouth they speak proudly.
Усівся Він на херувима й летів, і на ві́трових кри́лах понісся.
They have now compassed us in our steps: they have set their eyes bowing down to the earth;
Поклав те́мряву Він — як засло́ну Свою, довкі́лля Його — то те́мрява вод, а мешка́ння Його — густі хмари!
Like as a lion that is greedy of his prey, and as it were a young lion lurking in secret places.
Від блиску, що був перед Ним, град і жар огняни́й пройшли хмари Його.
Arise, O LORD, disappoint him, cast him down: deliver my soul from the wicked, which is thy sword:
І Господь загримів у небеса́х, і Всевишній Свій голос подав, град і жар огняни́й!
From men which are thy hand, O LORD, from men of the world, which have their portion in this life, and whose belly thou fillest with thy hid treasure: they are full of children, and leave the rest of their substance to their babes.
