{To the chief Musician upon ShoshannimEduth, A Psalm of Asaph.} Give ear, O Shepherd of Israel, thou that leadest Joseph like a flock; thou that dwellest between the cherubims, shine forth.

Співайте Богові, нашій тверди́ні, покли́куйте Богові Якова,
Before Ephraim and Benjamin and Manasseh stir up thy strength, and come and save us.
заспівайте пісню, і заграйте на бу́бні, на ци́трі приємній із гу́слами,
Turn us again, O God, and cause thy face to shine; and we shall be saved.
засурмі́ть у сурму́ в новомі́сяччя, на по́вні в день нашого свята,
O LORD God of hosts, how long wilt thou be angry against the prayer of thy people?
бо це право Ізраїлеві, Зако́н Бога Якова!
Thou feedest them with the bread of tears; and givest them tears to drink in great measure.
На сві́дчення в Йо́сипі Він учинив його, як пішов був на землю єгипетську. Почув був там мову, якої не знав:
Thou makest us a strife unto our neighbours: and our enemies laugh among themselves.
„Раме́на його Я звільнив з тягару́, від коша́ його ру́ки звільнились.
Turn us again, O God of hosts, and cause thy face to shine; and we shall be saved.
Ти був кликав у недолі, — й я ви́дер тебе, Я відповідаю тобі в укритті громові́м, Я ви́пробував був тебе над водою Мери́ви. Се́ла.
Thou hast brought a vine out of Egypt: thou hast cast out the heathen, and planted it.
Слухай же ти, Мій наро́де, і хай Я засві́дчу тобі, о Ізраїлю, — коли б ти послухав Мене:
Thou preparedst room before it, and didst cause it to take deep root, and it filled the land.
нехай бога чужого у тебе не буде, і не кланяйся богу сторонньому!
The hills were covered with the shadow of it, and the boughs thereof were like the goodly cedars.
Я — Господь, Бог твій, що з кра́ю єгипетського тебе вивів, відчини свої уста — і Я їх напо́вню!
She sent out her boughs unto the sea, and her branches unto the river.
Але́ Мій народ не послухався був Мого голосу, не згодився зо Мною Ізра́їль, —
Why hast thou then broken down her hedges, so that all they which pass by the way do pluck her?
і Я їх пустив ради впе́ртости їхнього серця, — нехай вони йдуть за своїми пора́дами!
The boar out of the wood doth waste it, and the wild beast of the field doth devour it.
Коли б Мій наро́д був послухав Мене, коли б був Ізраїль ходив по доро́гах Моїх,
Return, we beseech thee, O God of hosts: look down from heaven, and behold, and visit this vine;
ще мало — і Я похили́в би був їхніх ворогів, і руку Свою поверну́в би був Я на проти́вників їхніх!
And the vineyard which thy right hand hath planted, and the branch that thou madest strong for thyself.
Ненави́сники Господа йому б покори́лись, — і був би навіки їхній час,
It is burned with fire, it is cut down: they perish at the rebuke of thy countenance.
