    Prayer and Thanksgiving for the Lord’s Righteous Judgments

    To the Chief Musician. To the tune of [a]“Death of the Son.” A Psalm of David.

    I will praise You, O Lord, with my whole heart;
    I will tell of all Your marvelous works.

    Хвали́тиму Господа усім серцем своїм, розповім про всі чу́да Твої!

    I will be glad and rejoice in You;
    I will sing praise to Your name, O Most High.
  • 3
    Я буду радіти, і ті́шитись буду Тобо́ю, і бу́ду виспі́вувати Ймення Твоє, о Всевишній!

    When my enemies turn back,
    They shall fall and perish at Your presence.
  • 4
    Як будуть назад відступати мої вороги́, то спіткну́ться і ви́гинуть перед обличчям Твоїм!

    For You have maintained my right and my cause;
    You sat on the throne judging in righteousness.
  • 5
    Бо суд мій і справу мою розсудив Ти, Ти на троні судде́вім сидів, Судде праведний!

    You have rebuked the [b]nations,
    You have destroyed the wicked;
    You have blotted out their name forever and ever.

    Докори́в Ти народам, безбожного зни́щив, ім'я́ їхнє Ти витер навічні віки́!

    O enemy, destructions are finished forever!
    And you have destroyed cities;
    Even their memory has perished.

    О во́роже мій, руйнува́ння твої закінчи́лись на вічність, — ти й міста́ повалив був, і згинула з ними їхня пам'ять!

    But the Lord shall endure forever;
    He has prepared His throne for judgment.
  • 8
    Та буде Господь пробува́ти навіки, Він для су́ду поставив престола Свого,
  • 8
    He shall judge the world in righteousness,
    And He shall administer judgment for the peoples in uprightness.
  • 9
    і вселенну Він буде судити по правді, справедливістю буде судити наро́ди.
  • 9
    The Lord also will be a refuge[c] for the oppressed,
    A refuge in times of trouble.
  • 10
    І тверди́нею буде Господь для пригні́ченого, в час недолі — приту́лком.
  • 10
    And those who know Your name will put their trust in You;
    For You, Lord, have not forsaken those who seek You.
  • 11
    І на Тебе наді́ятись бу́дуть усі, що Ім'я́ Твоє знають, бо не кинув Ти, Господи, тих, хто шукає Тебе!

    Sing praises to the Lord, who dwells in Zion!
    Declare His deeds among the people.

    Співайте Господе́ві, що сидить на Сіоні, між наро́дами розповідайте про чи́ни Його,

    When He avenges blood, He remembers them;
    He does not forget the cry of the [d]humble.

    бо карає Він чинки крива́ві, про них пам'ятає, і не забуває Він зо́йку убогих!

    Have mercy on me, O Lord!
    Consider my trouble from those who hate me,
    You who lift me up from the gates of death,
  • 14
    Помилуй мене, Господи, поглянь на стражда́ння моє від моїх ненави́сників, Ти, що мене підійма́єш із брам смерти,

    That I may tell of all Your praise
    In the gates of [e]the daughter of Zion.
    I will rejoice in Your salvation.

    щоб я розповідав про всю славу Твою, у брамах Сіонської до́ні я буду радіти спасі́нням Твоїм!
  • 15
    The [f]nations have sunk down in the pit which they made;
    In the net which they hid, their own foot is caught.
  • 16
    Наро́ди попа́дали в яму, яку самі ви́копали, до па́стки, яку захова́ли, нога їхня схо́плена.

    The Lord is known by the judgment He executes;
    The wicked is snared in the work of his own hands.

    Господь зна́ний, Він суд учинив, — спіткну́всь нечестивий у вчинку своєї руки́! Гра на струнах. Села.

    The wicked shall be turned into hell,
    And all the [h]nations that forget God.
  • 18
    Попряму́ють безбожні в шео́л, всі наро́ди, що Бога забули,

    For the needy shall not always be forgotten;
    The expectation of the poor shall not perish forever.

    бож не навіки забу́деться бідний, надія убогих не згине наза́вжди!

    Arise, O Lord,
    Do not let man prevail;
    Let the [i]nations be judged in Your sight.
  • 20
    Устань же, о Господи, — хай люди́на не перемагає, нехай перед лицем Твоїм засуджені будуть наро́ди!
  • 20
    Put them in fear, O Lord,
    That the [j]nations may know themselves to be but men. Selah
