На́що будуть казати єги́птяни, говорячи: На зле ти їх вивів, щоб їх повбивати в гора́х, та щоб винищити їх з пове́рхні землі?.. Вернися з ро́зпалу гніву Свого, та й відверни́ зло від Свого́ наро́ду!

Навіщо мали б єгиптяни говорити: На лихо вивів він їх, щоб повбивати їх у горах та вигубити їх з лиця землі? Відверни ярість обурення твого та зміни гнів на милість супроти твого народу.

Чи то ж гаразд, як мовляти муть Египтїї: На лихо він вивів їх, аби повбивати в горах та повикорінювати з лиця земного? Одвернись від гнїва твого, да зжалься, що розлютувався на людей твоїх. -
Аби часом не сказали єгиптяни, заявляючи: Він з підступним наміром вивів їх, щоб вигубити в горах і знищити їх із землі. Зупини гнів Своєї люті й вияви милість до злих вчинків Свого народу!
