Тож за праведністю царюва́тиме цар, а князі володі́тимуть за правосу́ддям.
A Righteous King
Behold, a king shall reign in righteousness, and princes shall rule in judgment.

І станеться кожен, як за́хист від вітру, і немов та заслона від зли́ви, як пото́ки води на пустині, як тінь скелі тяжко́ї на спраглій землі.
And a man shall be as a hiding-place from the wind, and a covert from the storm; as brooks of water in a dry place, as the shadow of a great rock in a thirsty land.
І не будуть заплю́щені очі видю́щих, і слухатимуть ву́ха тих, які слухають!
And the eyes of them that see shall not be dim, and the ears of them that hear shall hearken;
І знання́ розумітиме серце нерозва́жних, а язик недорі́куватих поспішить говорити вира́зно.
and the heart of the rash shall understand knowledge, and the tongue of the stammerers shall be ready to speak plainly.
Не будуть вже кликати достойним глупця́, а на обма́нця не скажуть шляхе́тний,
The vile man shall be no more called noble, nor the churl said to be bountiful:
бо глупо́ту говорить безумний, а серце його беззаконня вчиняє, щоб робити лукавство, та щоб говорити до Господа слово облу́дне, щоб душу голодного ви́порожнити й напо́ю позбавити спра́глого!
for the vile man will speak villainy, and his heart will work iniquity, to practise hypocrisy, and to utter error against Jehovah, to make empty the soul of the hungry, and to cause the drink of the thirsty to fail.
А лукавий — лихі його чини: він лихе замишляє, щоб ни́щити скро́мних словами брехли́вими, як убогий говорить про право,
The instruments also of the churl are evil: he deviseth wicked devices to destroy the meek with lying words, even when the needy speaketh right.
а шляхе́тний міркує шляхе́тне, і стоїть при шляхе́тному.
But the noble deviseth noble things; and to noble things doth he stand.
Устаньте, безжу́рні жінки́, почуйте мій голос, дочки безтурботні, послухайте сло́ва мого!
The Women of Jerusalem
Rise up, ye women that are at ease, hear my voice; ye careless daughters, give ear unto my speech.
Rise up, ye women that are at ease, hear my voice; ye careless daughters, give ear unto my speech.
Днів багато на рік ви, безтурботні, тремті́тимете, бо збір винограду скінчи́вся, а згрома́дження пло́ду не при́йде!
In a year and [some] days shall ye be troubled, ye careless women; for the vintage shall fail, the ingathering shall not come.
Тремтіть, ви безжу́рні, дрижіть, безтурбо́тні, роздягніться, себе обнажі́ть, опережі́ться по сте́гнах!
Tremble, ye women that are at ease; be troubled, ye careless ones; strip you, and make you bare, and gird [sackcloth] on your loins!
За прина́дні поля́ будуть битися в груди, за виноградник урожайний.
They shall smite on the breasts [in lamentation] for the pleasant fields, for the fruitful vineyards.
На землі́ цій наро́ду мого зійде те́рен й будя́ччя, по всіх домах радости спалени́на, на місті веселому.
Upon the land of my people shall come up thistles [and] briars, yea, upon all the houses of joy in the joyous city.
Бо па́лац опу́щений буде, міський го́мін замо́вкне, О́фел та ба́шта навік стануть я́мами, радістю диких ослів, пасови́ськом чері́д,
For the palace shall be deserted, the multitude of the city shall be forsaken; hill and watchtower shall be caves for ever, a joy of wild asses, a pasture of flocks;
аж Дух з височини́ проллє́ться на нас, а пустиня в садо́к обе́рнеться, а садок порахо́ваний буде за ліс!
until the Spirit be poured upon us from on high, and the wilderness become a fruitful field, and the fruitful field be counted for a forest.
Тоді пробува́тиме право в пустині, на ниві ж родючій сидітиме правда.
And judgment shall inhabit the wilderness, and righteousness dwell in the fruitful field.
І буде роботою істини — мир, а працею правди — спокійність й безпе́ка навіки.
And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness, quietness and assurance for ever.
І осяде наро́д мій у мешка́нні спокі́йнім, і в безпечних місця́х, і в спокійних місцях відпочи́нку.
And my people shall dwell in a peaceable habitation, and in sure dwellings, and in quiet resting-places.
І буде па́дати град на пова́лений ліс, і зни́зиться місто в долину.
And it shall hail, coming down on the forest; and the city shall be low in a low place.
