Горе тобі, що пусто́шиш, хоч сам не спусто́шений, тобі, що грабу́єш, хоч тебе й не грабо́вано! Коли ти пусто́шити скінчи́ш, — опусто́шений будеш, коли грабува́ти скінчи́ш, тебе пограбу́ють.
The Lord is Exalted
Woe to thee that spoilest, and thou wast not spoiled; and dealest treacherously, and they dealt not treacherously with thee! when thou shalt cease to spoil, thou shalt be spoiled; and when thou shalt make an end to deal treacherously, they shall deal treacherously with thee.

Господи, змилуйсь над нами, — на Тебе наді́ємось ми! Будь їхнім раме́ном щоранку та в час у́тиску нашим спасі́нням!
O LORD, be gracious unto us; we have waited for thee: be thou their arm every morning, our salvation also in the time of trouble.
Від сильного голосу Твого народи втікатимуть, від Твого виви́щення розпоро́шаться люди.
At the noise of the tumult the people fled; at the lifting up of thyself the nations were scattered.
І ваша здобич збереться, як збирають тих ко́ників, як літає ота сарана́, — так кидатись будуть на неї.
And your spoil shall be gathered like the gathering of the caterpiller: as the running to and fro of locusts shall he run upon them.
Величний Господь, бо на височині́ пробува́є; Він напо́внив Сіон правосу́ддям та правдою.
The LORD is exalted; for he dwelleth on high: he hath filled Zion with judgment and righteousness.
І буде безпека за ча́су твого, щедро́та спасі́ння, мудрости та пізна́ння. Страх Господній — бу́де він ска́рбом його́.
And wisdom and knowledge shall be the stability of thy times, and strength of salvation: the fear of the LORD is his treasure.
Тож по вулицях їхні хоро́брі кричать, гірко плачуть прові́сники миру.
Behold, their valiant ones shall cry without: the ambassadors of peace shall weep bitterly.
Биті дороги поро́жніми стали, нема мандрівця́ на дорозі! Він зламав заповіта, знева́жив міста́, злегковажив люди́ну.
The highways lie waste, the wayfaring man ceaseth: he hath broken the covenant, he hath despised the cities, he regardeth no man.
Сумує та слабне земля, засоро́мився й в'яне Лива́н, став Саро́н немов пу́ща, Баша́н та Карме́л своє листя зрони́ли.
The earth mourneth and languisheth: Lebanon is ashamed and hewn down: Sharon is like a wilderness; and Bashan and Carmel shake off their fruits.
Нині воскре́сну, говорить Госпо́дь, нині просла́влюсь, нині буду возне́сений!
Now will I rise, saith the LORD; now will I be exalted; now will I lift up myself.
Заваготі́єте сіном, стерню́ ви породите; дух ваш — огонь, який вас пожере́.
Ye shall conceive chaff, ye shall bring forth stubble: your breath, as fire, shall devour you.
І стануть наро́ди за місце палі́ння вапна́, за терни́ну потя́ту, і будуть огнем вони спа́лені.
And the people shall be as the burnings of lime: as thorns cut up shall they be burned in the fire.
Почуйте, далекі, що Я був зробив, і пізнайте, близькі́, Мою силу!
Hear, ye that are far off, what I have done; and, ye that are near, acknowledge my might.
Затривожились грішні в Сіоні, і тре́пет безбожних обняв. „Хто з нас ме́шкатиме при жеру́щім огні? Хто з нас ме́шкати буде при вічному огнищі?“
The sinners in Zion are afraid; fearfulness hath surprised the hypocrites. Who among us shall dwell with the devouring fire? who among us shall dwell with everlasting burnings?
Хто хо́дить у правді й говорить правдиве, хто бри́диться зи́ском насилля, хто долоні свої випоро́жнює, щоб хабара́ не тримати, хто ухо своє затикає, щоб не чути про кровопроли́ття, і зажмурює очі свої, щоб не бачити зла, —
He that walketh righteously, and speaketh uprightly; he that despiseth the gain of oppressions, that shaketh his hands from holding of bribes, that stoppeth his ears from hearing of blood, and shutteth his eyes from seeing evil;
той перебуватиме на високо́стях, ске́льні твердині — його недоступна оселя, його хліб буде да́ний йому, вода йому за́вжди запе́внена!
He shall dwell on high: his place of defence shall be the munitions of rocks: bread shall be given him; his waters shall be sure.
Твої очі побачать Царя в Його пишній красі́, будуть бачити землю далеку.
Thine eyes shall see the king in his beauty: they shall behold the land that is very far off.
Твоє серце розду́мувати буде про страх: Де Той, Хто рахує? Де Той, Хто все важить? Де Той, Хто обчи́слює ба́шти?
Thine heart shall meditate terror. Where is the scribe? where is the receiver? where is he that counted the towers?
Уже не побачиш наро́ду зухвалого, народу глибокомо́вного, якого не можна було б розібрати, незрозумілоязи́кого, якого не можна було б зрозуміти.
Thou shalt not see a fierce people, a people of a deeper speech than thou canst perceive; of a stammering tongue, that thou canst not understand.
Подивись на Сіон, на місто наших святкових зібра́нь, — очі твої вгледять Єрусалим, мешка́ння спокійне, скинію ту незруши́му, — кі́лля її не порушаться ввік, а всі шнури її не порвуться.
Look upon Zion, the city of our solemnities: thine eyes shall see Jerusalem a quiet habitation, a tabernacle that shall not be taken down; not one of the stakes thereof shall ever be removed, neither shall any of the cords thereof be broken.
Бо вели́чний Господь для нас тільки ота́м, — місце потоків й просто́рих річо́к, — не ходить по ньому весло́вий байда́к, і міцни́й корабе́ль не пере́йде його.
But there the glorious LORD will be unto us a place of broad rivers and streams; wherein shall go no galley with oars, neither shall gallant ship pass thereby.
Бо Господь — наш суддя, Господь законода́вець для нас, Господь то наш цар, і Він нас спасе́!
For the LORD is our judge, the LORD is our lawgiver, the LORD is our king; he will save us.
Опустилися шну́ри твої, не зміцня́ють підва́лини що́гли своєї, вітри́л не натягують. Тоді будуть ділити награбо́вану здо́бич, і навіть криві грабува́тимуть.
Thy tacklings are loosed; they could not well strengthen their mast, they could not spread the sail: then is the prey of a great spoil divided; the lame take the prey.
