А тепер завідо́млю Я вас, що́ зроблю́ для Свого виноградника: живоплі́т його ви́кину, і він буде на зни́щення, горо́жу його розвалю́, і він на пото́птання бу́де,
зроблю́ Я загу́бу йому, — він не буде обти́наний ані підса́пуваний, — і виросте те́рня й будя́ччя на ньому, а хма́рам звелю́, щоб дощу не давали на нього!

Бо виноградник Господа Саваота — то Ізра́їлів дім, а муж Юди — коха́ний Його саджане́ць. Сподівавсь правосу́ддя, та ось кроволи́ття, сподівавсь справедливости Він, та ось зойк.
Горе тим, що долу́чують до́ма до до́му, а поле до поля прито́чують, аж місця бракує для інших, так ніби самі сидите́ серед кра́ю!

Горе тим, що встають рано вра́нці і женуть за напо́єм п'янки́м, і трива́ють при нім аж до ве́чора, щоб вином розпаля́тись!

І ста́лася ци́тра та а́рфа, бу́бон та сопі́лка й вино — за їхню гу́лянку, а на ді́ло Господнє не дивляться, не вбача́ють Його́ чину рук.

tambourine and flute and wine at their feasts,
but they do not regard the deeds of the Lord,
or see the work of his hands.

Тому піде наро́д Мій на вигна́ння непередба́чено, і вельмо́жі його голодува́тимуть, а на́товп його — ви́сохне з пра́гнення.
Тому́ то розши́рив шео́л пожадли́вість свою і безмірно розкрив свою пащу, і зі́йде до нього його пишнота́, і його на́товп, і гу́ркіт його, й ті, що тішаться в ньому.
І люди́на пони́житься, і упоко́риться муж, а очі високих пони́кнуть,
а Господь Саваот возвели́читься в су́ді, і Бог Святий ви́явить святість Свою в справедливості!
І па́стися бу́дуть овечки, немов би на лу́ці своїй, а зоста́влене з ситих чужі поїдя́ть.

Горе тим, що вину притяга́ють до себе шнура́ми марно́ти, а гріх — як моту́ззям від воза,

Горе тим, що зло називають добро́м, а добро — злом, що ставлять темно́ту за світло, а світло — за те́мряву, що ставлять гірке́ за солодке, а солодке — за гірке́!

Горе мудрим у власних оча́х та розумним перед собою сами́м!

Тому́ запали́вся гнів Господа на наро́д Його, і на нього Він ви́тягнув ру́ку Свою, — та й ура́зив його: і захиталися го́ри, і сталось їхнього тру́пу, як сміття́ серед вулиць! При цьому всьому́ не відверну́всь Його гнів, і ви́тягнена ще рука Його!

І піді́йме прапо́ра наро́ду здале́ка, і засви́ще йому з кінця кра́ю, і при́йде він хутко та легко, —
