Горе па́стирям тим, що розгублюють та розганяють ота́ру Мого пасови́ська, говорить Господь!
The Righteous Branch
“Woe to the shepherds who destroy and scatter the sheep of my pasture!” declares the Lord.

Тому так промовляє Господь, Бог Ізраїлів, про па́стирів тих, що пасуть Мій наро́д: Ви ота́ру Мою розпоро́шили й їх розігна́ли, та не наглядали за ними. Ось тому покараю Я вас за лихі ваші вчинки, говорить Госпо́дь!
Therefore thus says the Lord, the God of Israel, concerning the shepherds who care for my people: “You have scattered my flock and have driven them away, and you have not attended to them. Behold, I will attend to you for your evil deeds, declares the Lord.
А Я позбираю останок ота́ри Своєї зо всіх тих країв, куди́ Я їх повиганя́в був, і їх поверну́ на пасо́виська їхні, і вони порозпло́джуються та розмно́жаться.
Then I will gather the remnant of my flock out of all the countries where I have driven them, and I will bring them back to their fold, and they shall be fruitful and multiply.
І над ними поставлю Я па́стирів тих, які па́стимуть їх, і не будуть боятися вже й не злякаються, і не будуть загу́блені, каже Госпо́дь!
I will set shepherds over them who will care for them, and they shall fear no more, nor be dismayed, neither shall any be missing, declares the Lord.
Ось дні наступають, — говорить Господь, — і поставлю Давидові праведну Па́рость, і Цар зацарю́є, і буде Він мудрий, — і правосу́ддя та правду в Краю́ запрова́дить.
“Behold, the days are coming, declares the Lord, when I will raise up for David a righteous Branch, and he shall reign as king and deal wisely, and shall execute justice and righteousness in the land.
За днів Його Юда спасе́ться, Ізраїль же буде безпечний. А це Його Йме́ння, яким Його кликати будуть: „Господь — праведність наша“.
In his days Judah will be saved, and Israel will dwell securely. And this is the name by which he will be called: ‘The Lord is our righteousness.’
Тому наступають ось дні, — говорить Господь, — і не будуть уже говорити: „Як живий Господь, що вивів синів Ізраїлевих із краю єгипетського“,
“Therefore, behold, the days are coming, declares the Lord, when they shall no longer say, ‘As the Lord lives who brought up the people of Israel out of the land of Egypt,’
а тільки: „Як живий Господь, що вивів і ви́провадив насіння дому Ізраїлевого з півні́чного кра́ю, і зо всіх тих країв, куди їх був повиганя́в“! І ося́дуть вони на своїй землі.
Про пророків. Розривається серце моє в моїм нутрі, тріпо́чуть всі ко́сті мої, я став, як п'яни́й, як той муж, що по ньому вино перейшло́, через Господа й ради святих Його слів,

Бо земля перелю́бниками стала по́вна, бо через прокля́ття потра́пила в жало́бу земля, повисиха́ли в степа́х пасови́ська, бо стався лихим їхній біг, їхня сила — це кривда.
For the land is full of adulterers;
because of the curse the land mourns,
and the pastures of the wilderness are dried up.

Бо й пророк та священик гріша́ть, — їхнє зло Я знайшов теж у домі Своїм, говорить Госпо́дь.
“Both prophet and priest are ungodly;
even in my house I have found their evil,
even in my house I have found their evil,
Тому буде для них їхня доро́га, мов ско́взанка в те́мряві, вони бу́дуть попхне́ні й впаду́ть через неї, бо зло Я спрова́джу на них ро́ку наві́щення їх, говорить Господь.
Therefore their way shall be to them
like slippery paths in the darkness,
into which they shall be driven and fall,
for I will bring disaster upon them
in the year of their punishment,

А в тих самарійських про років Я бачив безглу́здя, — вони пророкували Ваа́лом собі, і вчинили блудя́чим наро́д Мій, Ізраїля!

А в єрусалимських пророків Я бачив гидо́ту: перелю́бство й ходіння в неправді, і руки злочинців зміцни́ли вони, щоб ніхто з свого зла не верну́вся. Всі вони Мені стали, немов той Содо́м, а мешканці його, як Гомо́ра.

I have seen a horrible thing:
they commit adultery and walk in lies;
they strengthen the hands of evildoers,

Тому так промовляє Господь Савао́т про пророків оцих: Ось Я їх полино́м нагоду́ю, і водою отру́йною їх напо́ю, бо від єрусалимських пророків безбожність пішла для всієї землі!

Так говорить Госпо́дь Савао́т: Не слухайте слів цих пророків, що вам пророку́ють, — вони роблять безглу́здими вас, висло́влюють при́види серця свого́, а не слово з уст Господніх.
Thus says the Lord of hosts: “Do not listen to the words of the prophets who prophesy to you, filling you with vain hopes. They speak visions of their own minds, not from the mouth of the Lord.
Вони справді говорять до тих, що Мене обража́ють: „Господь говорив: Мир вам бу́де!“ А кожному, хто ходить в упе́ртості серця свого, говорять вони: „Зло не при́йде на вас!“
They say continually to those who despise the word of the Lord, ‘It shall be well with you’; and to everyone who stubbornly follows his own heart, they say, ‘No disaster shall come upon you.’”
А хто ж то стояв на таємній Господній нара́ді, і бачив та чув Його слово? Хто до сло́ва Його прислуха́вся й почув?

Ось буря Господня, як лютість, вихо́дить, а вихор крутли́вий на голову несправедливих впаде́.

Гнів Господній не ве́рнеться, поки не зробить, і поки не ви́конає Він за́мірів серця Свого́; напри́кінці днів зрозумієте добре все це!
The anger of the Lord will not turn back
until he has executed and accomplished
the intents of his heart.

Цих пророків Я не посилав, — вони побігли самі, Я їм не говорив, — та вони пророкують.
“I did not send the prophets,
yet they ran;
I did not speak to them,

А якби́ в Моїй раді таємній стояли вони, то вони об'являли б наро́дові Моєму слова Мої, і їх відверта́ли б від їхньої злої дороги, та від зла їхніх учи́нків.

Чи Я Бог тільки збли́зька, — говорить Господь, — а не Бог і здале́ка?

Якщо заховається хто у криї́вках, то Я не побачу Його? говорить Господь. Чи Я неба й землі не напо́внюю? каже Господь.
Can a man hide himself in secret places so that I cannot see him? declares the Lord. Do I not fill heaven and earth? declares the Lord.
Я чув, що́ говорять пророки, що Йме́нням Моїм пророкують неправду й говорять: „Мені снилося, снилось мені!“
I have heard what the prophets have said who prophesy lies in my name, saying, ‘I have dreamed, I have dreamed!’
Як довго це буде у серці пророків, які пророкують неправду, та пророкують ома́ну свого серця?
How long shall there be lies in the heart of the prophets who prophesy lies, and who prophesy the deceit of their own heart,
Вони замишляють зробити, щоб наро́д Мій забув Моє Йме́ння, їхніми снами, які один о́дному розповідають, як через Ваа́ла забули були́ їхні батьки́ Моє Йме́ння.
who think to make my people forget my name by their dreams that they tell one another, even as their fathers forgot my name for Baal?

Let the prophet who has a dream tell the dream, but let him who has my word speak my word faithfully. What has straw in common with wheat? declares the Lord.
Хіба слово Моє не таке, як огонь, — говорить Господь, — і як мо́лот, що скелю розлу́пує?

Тому́ то ось Я на пророків, — говорить Госпо́дь, — що слова́ Мої кра́дуть один від одно́го.
Therefore, behold, I am against the prophets, declares the Lord, who steal my words from one another.
Ось Я на пророків, — говорить Госпо́дь, — що вживають свого язика́, але кажуть: Це мова Господня!

Оце Я на тих, що сни неправдиві звіщають, — говорить Господь, — вони розповідають про них та впрова́джують в блуд Мій наро́д своєю неправдою й глу́мом своїм, хоч Я не посилав їх і їм не наказував, і вони помогти́ — не помо́жуть наро́дові цьому́, говорить Господь.
Behold, I am against those who prophesy lying dreams, declares the Lord, and who tell them and lead my people astray by their lies and their recklessness, when I did not send them or charge them. So they do not profit this people at all, declares the Lord.
А коли запитає тебе цей наро́д, чи пророк, чи священик, говорячи: „Яке то Господнє пророцтво?“ то скажеш до них: „Ви тяга́р, — і Я вас поскида́ю“, говорить Господь.
А пророка й священика та той наро́д, який скаже: „Господній тяга́р“, — то Я мужа того й його дім покара́ю!
And as for the prophet, priest, or one of the people who says, ‘The burden of the Lord,’ I will punish that man and his household.
Отак скажете ви один о́дному й кожен до брата свого: „Що Господь відповів“, й „що Господь говорив?“
Thus shall you say, every one to his neighbor and every one to his brother, ‘What has the Lord answered?’ or ‘What has the Lord spoken?’
А про „Господній тяга́р“ не згадуйте більш, бо кожному слово його стане за тягара́, і ви перекрути́ли б слова Бога Живого, Господа Савао́та, нашого Бога.
But ‘the burden of the Lord’ you shall mention no more, for the burden is every man’s own word, and you pervert the words of the living God, the Lord of hosts, our God.
Так пророкові скажеш: „Що́ Господь тобі відповів“, і „Що́ Господь говорив?“

Якщо ж будете ви говорити: „Господній тяга́р“, тому так промовляє Госпо́дь: За те, що ви кажете слово оце: „Господній тяга́р“, хоч Я посилав до вас, ка́жучи: Не говоріте „Господній тяга́р“,

тому конче Я вас підійму́, немо́в тягара́, та й викину вас і те місто, що дав був Я вам та вашим батька́м, від Свого лиця.
