І сталося того року на поча́тку царюва́ння Седекії, царя Юди, четвертого року, п'ятого місяця, сказав до мене Ана́нія, син Аззурів, пророк, що з Ґів'ону, у Господньому домі, на оча́х священиків та всього наро́ду, говорячи:
Hananiah’s False Prophecy
Now in the same year, in the beginning of the reign of Zedekiah king of Judah, in the fourth year, in the fifth month, Hananiah the son of Azzur, the prophet, who was from Gibeon, spoke to me in the house of the LORD in the presence of the priests and all the people, saying,
Now in the same year, in the beginning of the reign of Zedekiah king of Judah, in the fourth year, in the fifth month, Hananiah the son of Azzur, the prophet, who was from Gibeon, spoke to me in the house of the LORD in the presence of the priests and all the people, saying,
„Так говорить Господь Саваот, Бог Ізраїлів, кажучи: Зламаю ярмо́ царя вавилонського!
“Thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, ‘I have broken the yoke of the king of Babylon.
За два роки ча́су Я верну́ до цього місця ввесь по́суд Господнього дому, що забрав був Навуходоно́сор, цар вавилонський, з цього місця, і спрова́див його до Вавилону.
‘Within two years I am going to bring back to this place all the vessels of the LORD’S house, which Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon took away from this place and carried to Babylon.
І Єхонію, Єгоякимового сина, царя Юди, і всіх Юдиних вигна́нців, що прийшли до Вавилону, Я верну́ до цього місця, — говорить Господь, — бо зламаю ярмо́ царя вавилонського!“
‘I am also going to bring back to this place Jeconiah the son of Jehoiakim, king of Judah, and all the exiles of Judah who went to Babylon,’ declares the LORD, ‘for I will break the yoke of the king of Babylon.’”
І говорив пророк Єремія до пророка Ананії на оча́х священиків і на оча́х усього народу, що стояли в Господньому домі.
Then the prophet Jeremiah spoke to the prophet Hananiah in the presence of the priests and in the presence of all the people who were standing in the house of the LORD,
І сказав пророк Єремія: „Амінь! Нехай так зробить Господь, нехай ви́конає Господь слова́ твої, що ти пророкував про поворо́т по́суду Господнього дому та всього вигна́ння в неволю з Вавилону до цього місця.
and the prophet Jeremiah said, “Amen! May the LORD do so; may the LORD confirm your words which you have prophesied to bring back the vessels of the LORD’S house and all the exiles, from Babylon to this place.
Тільки послухай це слово, що я говорю в ву́ха твої та в ву́ха всього наро́ду:
“Yet hear now this word which I am about to speak in your hearing and in the hearing of all the people!
Ті пророки, що від віків були передо мною і перед тобою, пророкували про числе́нні краї́ та про царства великі, про війни, і про голод та про морови́цю.
“The prophets who were before me and before you from ancient times prophesied against many lands and against great kingdoms, of war and of calamity and of pestilence.
Пророк, що пророкує про мир, коли спра́вдиться слово пророче, — буде пі́знаний цей пророк, що його справді послав Господь“.
“The prophet who prophesies of peace, when the word of the prophet comes to pass, then that prophet will be known as one whom the LORD has truly sent.”
І взяв пророк Ана́нія ярмо́ з шиї пророка Єремії, і поламав його.
Then Hananiah the prophet took the yoke from the neck of Jeremiah the prophet and broke it.
І сказав Ана́нія на оча́х усього народу, говорячи: „Так говорить Господь: Отак поламаю ярмо́ Навуходоносора, царя вавилонського, за два роки ча́су, з шиї всіх наро́дів!“ І пішов пророк Єремія своєю дорогою.
Hananiah spoke in the presence of all the people, saying, “Thus says the LORD, ‘Even so will I break within two full years the yoke of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon from the neck of all the nations.’” Then the prophet Jeremiah went his way.
І було слово Господнє до Єремії по то́му, як пророк Ана́нія поламав ярмо з шиї пророка Єремії, говорячи:
The word of the LORD came to Jeremiah after Hananiah the prophet had broken the yoke from off the neck of the prophet Jeremiah, saying,
„Іди, і скажеш до Ананії, говорячи: Так говорить Господь: Ти поламав дерев'я́не ярмо, але Я зроблю́ замість нього ярмо залізне.
“Go and speak to Hananiah, saying, ‘Thus says the LORD, “You have broken the yokes of wood, but you have made instead of them yokes of iron.”
Бо так промовляє Господь Саваот, Бог Ізраїлів: Я дав на шию всіх цих наро́дів залізне ярмо, щоб вони служили Навуходоно́сорові, цареві вавилонському, — і вони бу́дуть служити йому, і навіть польову́ звірину́ віддам Я йому́!“
‘For thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, “I have put a yoke of iron on the neck of all these nations, that they may serve Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon; and they will serve him. And I have also given him the beasts of the field.”’”
І сказав пророк Єремія до пророка Ананії: „Послухай же, Ананіє: Не посилав тебе Господь, але ти дово́диш, що народ цей довіряє неправді.
Then Jeremiah the prophet said to Hananiah the prophet, “Listen now, Hananiah, the LORD has not sent you, and you have made this people trust in a lie.
Тому́ так промовляє Господь: Ось Я викида́ю тебе з поверхні землі, — цього року ти помреш, бо про відсту́пство від Господа говорив ти!“
“Therefore thus says the LORD, ‘Behold, I am about to remove you from the face of the earth. This year you are going to die, because you have counseled rebellion against the LORD.’”
