І було мені слово Господнє таке:
The Adultery of Oholah and Aholibah
And the word of Jehovah came unto me, saying,
And the word of Jehovah came unto me, saying,
„Сину лю́дський, були собі дві жінки, до́чки однієї матері.
Son of man, there were two women, daughters of one mother.
І чинили вони в Єгипті розпусту, у своїй мо́лодості чинили розпусту, — там почавлені їхні гру́ди, там зама́цані їхні пе́рса дівочі.
And they committed whoredom in Egypt; they committed whoredom in their youth: there were their breasts pressed, and there were handled the teats of their virginity.
А їхні іме́на: Ого́ла — старша та Оголи́ва — сестра її. І стали вони Мої, і породили синів та дочо́к. А їхні іме́на: Самарія — Огола, а Єрусалим — Оголи́ва.
And their names were Oholah the elder, and Oholibah her sister; and they were mine, and they bore sons and daughters. As for their names: Samaria is Oholah, and Jerusalem Oholibah.
І стала розпусною Огола, бувши Моєю, і кохалася з своїми коха́нцями, з асирі́янами, хто був їй близьки́й,
And Oholah played the harlot when she was mine; and she lusted after her lovers, after the Assyrians [her] neighbours,
що їхнє убра́ння — блаки́ть, намісники та заступники вони, усі вони — юнаки́ вродли́ві, ве́ршники, що гарцюють на ко́нях.
clothed with blue, governors and rulers, all of them attractive young men, horsemen riding upon horses.
І дала вона свою розпусту їм, що всі вони добі́рні Ашшу́рові сини, і всіма́, яких кохала, і всіма́ своїми божка́ми була вона занечищена.
And she bestowed her whoredoms upon them, all of them the choice of the children of Asshur; and with all after whom she lusted, with all their idols she defiled herself.
Та не відкида́ла вона своєї розпусти й від єги́птян, бо вони лежали з нею в її мо́лодості, і вони стискали дівочі її пе́рса, і виливали свою розпусту на неї.
Neither left she her whoredoms [brought] from Egypt; for in her youth they had lain with her, and had handled the breasts of her virginity, and poured their fornication upon her.
Тому й дав Я її в руку її коха́нків, у руку Ашшу́рових синів, що з ними кохалась вона.
Therefore I gave her into the hand of her lovers, into the hand of the children of Asshur, after whom she lusted.
Вони відкрили її наготу, позабирали синів її та дочо́к її, а її забили мечем, І стала вона неславним ім'я́м для жінок, і при́суди зробили на ній.
These discovered her nakedness, they took her sons and her daughters, and slew her with the sword; and she became a name among women; and they executed judgment upon her.
А сестра її Оголива бачила це, але вчинила любов свою гіршою від неї, а розпусту свою — більшою від розпусти своєї сестри.
And her sister Oholibah saw [this], and was more corrupt in her passion than she, and in her fornications more than the whoredoms of her sister.
Вона кохалася з синами Ашшуровими, з близьки́ми їй намісниками та заступниками, досконало зодя́гненими, з верхівця́ми, що гарцю́ють на ко́нях, усі вони — юнаки́ вродливі.
She lusted after the children of Asshur [her] neighbours, governors and rulers, clothed most gorgeously, horsemen riding upon horses, all of them attractive young men.
І побачив Я, що вона обезче́щена, що доро́га одна їм обо́м.
And I saw that she was defiled: both took one way.
Та вона ще додала до розпусти своєї, бо коли побачила му́жів, ви́різьблених на стіні, зобра́ження халдеїв, кре́слених і запущених червони́лом,
And she increased her fornications; for she saw men portrayed upon the wall, the images of the Chaldeans portrayed with vermilion,
підпере́заних поясом по сте́гнах своїх, вони з опадаючим заво́єм на голові їхній, усі вони на вигляд військо́ві старши́ни, подоба синів вавилонських, Халдея — край наро́дження їхнього,
girded with girdles upon their loins, with flowing turbans on their heads, all of them captains in appearance, [after] the likeness of the children of Babylon, of Chaldea, the land of their nativity.
то пожадала вона їх через сам погляд оче́й своїх, і послала посланці́в по них, до Халдеї.
And as soon as she saw them with her eyes, she lusted after them, and sent messengers unto them into Chaldea.
І прийшли до неї сини Вавилону на ложе любовне, і занечи́стили її своєю розпустою, і вона занечи́стилася ними, — і відверну́лася душа її від них.
And the children of Babylon came to her into the bed of love, and they defiled her with their fornication; she too defiled herself with them, and her soul was alienated from them.
І відкрила вона розпусту свою, і відкрила свою наготу́, тому відверну́лася душа Моя від неї, як відверну́лася душа Моя від її сестри.
And she discovered her whoredoms, and discovered her nakedness; and my soul was alienated from her, like as my soul was alienated from her sister.
І побільши́ла вона розпусту свою на згадку днів своєї мо́лодости, коли чинила розпусту в єгипетському кра́ї.
Yet she multiplied her whoredoms, calling to remembrance the days of her youth, wherein she played the harlot in the land of Egypt;
І жадала вона собі на коха́нців тих, що їхня плоть — плоть ослина, а їхня по́хіть — похіть жеребця́.
and she lusted after their paramours, whose flesh is [as] the flesh of asses, and whose issue is [as] the issue of horses.
І згадала ти розпусту своєї мо́лодости, коли єги́птяни стискали груди твої ради перс твоєї мо́лодости.
And thou didst look back to the lewdness of thy youth, in the handling of thy teats by the Egyptians, for the breasts of thy youth.
Тому, Оголиво, так говорить Господь Бог: Ось Я збуджу́ коха́нців твоїх на тебе, що від них відверну́лася душа твоя, і спрова́джу їх на тебе з довкі́лля, —
Aholibah to Be Plagued
Therefore, Oholibah, thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Behold, I will raise up thy lovers against thee, from whom thy soul is alienated, and I will bring them against thee on every side.

синів Вавилону, і всіх халдеїв, Пекод, і Шоа, і Коа, і всіх синів Ашшурових з ними, уродли́ві то юнаки́, усі вони — начальники та заступники, військо́ві старши́ни та славні, усі вони гарцюють на ко́нях.
The children of Babylon, and all the Chaldeans, Pekod and Shoa and Koa, all the children of Asshur with them; all of them attractive young men, governors and rulers, great lords and renowned, all of them riding upon horses.
І при́йдуть на тебе з пі́вночі, з колесни́цями та з коле́сами, та зо збором наро́дів; щита́ великого й щита́ мало́го та шоло́ми покладуть проти тебе навко́ло. І дам їм право, і вони засудять тебе за своїми правами.
And they shall come against thee [with] armour, chariots and wheels, and with an assemblage of peoples; they shall set themselves against thee [with] target, and shield, and helmet round about; and I will put judgment before them, and they shall judge thee according to their judgments.
І зверну́ Я лютість Свою на тебе, і вони зроблять з тобою в гніві: пообтина́ють носа твого́ та ву́ха твої, а що поли́шиться в тебе, від меча упаде́. Вони позабирають синів твоїх та дочо́к твоїх, а що зали́шиться в тебе, буде пожерте огнем.
And I will set my jealousy against thee, and they shall deal furiously with thee: they shall cut off thy nose and thine ears, and thy remnant shall fall by the sword; they shall take thy sons and thy daughters; and thy residue shall be devoured by the fire.
І постягають із тебе шати твої, і позабирають речі пишно́ти твоєї.
They shall also strip the of thy garments, and take away thy fair jewels.
І спиню́ Я розпусту твою в тебе, і розпусту твою з єгипетського кра́ю, і ти не зведе́ш очей своїх на них, а про Єгипта вже не згадаєш.
And I will make thy lewdness to cease from thee, and thy whoredom [brought] from the land of Egypt; and thou shalt not lift up thine eyes unto them, nor remember Egypt any more.
Бо так говорить Господь Бог: Ось Я даю тебе в руку того, кого ти знена́виділа, у руку тих, що від них відверну́лася душа твоя.
For thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Behold, I will give thee over into the hand of them whom thou hatest, into the hand of them from whom thy soul is alienated.
І зроблять з тобою в не́нависті, і ві́зьмуть здобу́ток твій, і поставлять тебе наго́ю та голою, і буде відкрита нагота́ пере́любу твого, і розпуста твоя та твій блуд.
And they shall deal with thee in hatred, and shall take away all thy labour, and shall leave thee naked and bare; so that the nakedness of thy whoredoms shall be discovered, both thy lewdness and thy fornications.
Будуть робити це тобі за твоє ході́ння в розпусті з наро́дами, за те, що ти збезче́стилась їхніми божка́ми.
These things shall be done unto thee, because thou hast gone a whoring after the nations, because thou hast defiled thyself with their idols.
Дорогою своєї сестри ти ходила, тому дам її ке́ліха в твою РУку.
Thou hast walked in the way of thy sister; and I have given her cup into thy hand.
Так говорить Господь Бог: Ке́ліха своєї сестри ти вип'єш, глибокого та широкого; станеш за жарт та за посміхо́висько, — це багатомістки́й ке́ліх.
Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Thou shalt drink of thy sister's cup deep and large; thou shalt be for a laughing-stock and a derision, [for] it containeth much.
П'янством та смутком будеш напо́внена, — буде це ке́ліх спусто́шення й ро́зруху, ке́ліх твоєї сестри Самарії.
Thou shalt be filled with drunkenness and sorrow, with the cup of astonishment and desolation, the cup of thy sister Samaria;
І ти вип'єш його, і витягнеш усе, а чере́п'я його порозбиваєш, і пе́рса свої порозрива́єш, бо це Я говорив, каже Господь Бог.
thou shalt even drink it and suck it out, and thou shalt gnaw the sherds thereof, and pluck off thine own breasts: for I have spoken [it], saith the Lord Jehovah.
Тому так говорить Господь Бог: Через те, що ти забула Мене, і кинула Мене за спи́ну свою, то й ти носи розпусту свою та свій блуд!
Therefore thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Because thou hast forgotten me, and cast me behind thy back, therefore bear thou also thy lewdness and thy fornications.
І сказав Господь до мене: „Сину лю́дський, чи будеш судити Оголу та Оголиву? То викажи їм їхні гидо́ти!
Judgment on Both Sisters
And Jehovah said unto me, Son of man, wilt thou judge Oholah and Oholibah? yea, declare unto them their abominations.
And Jehovah said unto me, Son of man, wilt thou judge Oholah and Oholibah? yea, declare unto them their abominations.
Бо вони пере́люб чинили, і кров на їхніх руках, і з божка́ми своїми пере́люб чинили, і також синів своїх, яких породили Мені, перепрова́джували через огонь для них на ї́жу.
For they have committed adultery, and blood is in their hands; and with their idols have they committed adultery, and have also passed over unto them their children, whom they bore unto me, to be devoured.
Ще оце чинили Мені: Занечи́стили святиню Мою того дня, і суботи Мої знева́жили.
Moreover this have they done unto me: in the same day have they defiled my sanctuary and profaned my sabbaths.
А коли вони різали синів своїх для своїх божкі́в, то прихо́дили до Моєї святині того дня, щоб збезче́стити її, і оце так робили вони в сере́дині Мого дому.
For when they had slaughtered their children unto their idols, they came the same day into my sanctuary to profane it; and behold, thus have they done in the midst of my house.
А що більше, — посилали до мужів, що зда́лека прихо́дять, що до них був по́сланий послане́ць, і ось поприхо́дили ті, що для них ти вмилася, нафарбува́ла блаки́том очі свої й оздобою приоздо́билася.
And furthermore, they sent for men to come from far, unto whom a messenger was sent; and behold, they came: for whom thou didst wash thyself, paintedst thine eyes, and deckedst thyself with ornaments;
І сіла ти на дорогоцінному ліжку, а перед ним накритий стіл, і поклала на ньому кадило Моє та оливу Мою.
and satest upon a stately bed, with a table prepared before it, whereupon thou hadst set mine incense and mine oil.
І голос заспоко́єної товпи лунав при ньому, і до мужів тієї товпи спрова́джували ще п'я́них з пустині, і давали нараме́нники на їхні руки та пишні корони на їхні го́лови.
And the voice of a multitude living carelessly was with her; and with people of the common sort were brought Sabeans from the wilderness, and they put bracelets upon their hands, and a beautiful crown upon their heads.
І сказав Я до тієї, що в'я́нула від пере́любу: Буде тепер вона ще далі чинити розпу́сту?
And I said of her that was old in adulteries, Will she now commit her fornications, even she.
І прийшли до неї, як прихо́дять до блудни́ці, так прихо́дили до Оголи та Оголиви, розпу́сних жіно́к.
And they went in unto her, as they go in unto a whorish woman: so went they in unto Oholah and unto Oholibah the lewd women.
А люди справедливі — вони розсудять їх правом про тих, що чинять пере́люб, та правом про тих, що кров проливають, бо вони чинять пере́люб, і кров на їхніх рука́х.
And righteous men, they shall judge them with the judgment of adulteresses, and with the judgment of women that shed blood; for they are adulteresses, and blood is in their hands.
Бо так говорить Господь Бог: Скли́кати б на них збори, і дати їх на страх та на здо́бич!
For thus saith the Lord Jehovah: I will bring up an assemblage against them, and will give them to be driven hither and thither and spoiled.
І збори заки́дають їх камі́нням, і порозсіка́ють їх своїми меча́ми, синів їхніх та їхніх дочо́к повбивають, а їхні доми попа́лять огнем.
And the assemblage shall stone them with stones, and despatch them with their swords; they shall kill their sons and their daughters, and burn their houses with fire.
І спиню́ Я розпусту в Краю́, і буде наука всім жінка́м, і вони не будуть робити такого, як ваша розпуста!
And I will cause lewdness to cease out of the land, and all women shall receive instruction and shall not do according to your lewdness.
