Out of Egypt I called my Son
When Israel was a child, then I loved him, and out of Egypt I called my son.

Як часто їх кликав, так вони йшли від Мене, — прино́сили жертви Ваа́лам, і кадили бовва́нам.
As they called them, so they went from them: they sacrificed unto the Baals, and burned incense to graven images.
Я ж Єфрема ходити навчав, Я їх брав на раме́на Свої, та не знали вони, що Я їх лікува́в.
And I it was that taught Ephraim to walk, -- He took them upon his arms, -- but they knew not that I healed them.
Я тягнув їх шнурка́ми, що лю́дям лицю́ють, шнурка́ми любови, і був Я для них немов ті, що здіймають ярмо́ з-над їхньої шиї, і Я їх годував.
I drew them with bands of a man, with cords of love; and I was to them as they that take off the yoke on their jaws, and I gently caused them to eat.
До кра́ю єгипетського він не ве́рнеться, та Ашшур — він буде для нього царем, бо вони не хотіли верну́тись до Мене.
He shall not return into the land of Egypt, but the Assyrian shall be his king; for they refused to return [to me];
А міста́ми його ґрасува́тиме меч, і за́суви його повила́млює він та й пожере́ їх за за́думи їхні.
and the sword shall turn about in his cities, and shall consume his bars, and devour [them], because of their own counsels.
А наро́д Мій схильни́й відпада́ти від Мене, і хоч кличуть його догори, він не підійма́ється ра́зом.
Yea, my people are bent upon backsliding from me: though they call them to the Most High, none at all exalteth [him].
Як тебе Я, Єфреме, відда́м, як ви́дам тебе́, о Ізраїлю? Як тебе Я віддам, як Адму, учиню тебе, мов Цевоїм? У Мені переверну́лося серце Моє, розпали́лася ра́зом і жа́лість Моя!
God's Mercy Toward Israel
How shall I give thee over, Ephraim? [how] shall I deliver thee up, Israel? how shall I make thee as Admah? [how] shall I set thee as Zeboim? My heart is turned within me, my repentings are kindled together.

Не вчиню́ жару гніву Свого, більше ни́щити Єфрема не бу́ду, бо Бог Я, а не люди́на, серед тебе — Святий, і не прийду́ в люті гніву.
I will not execute the fierceness of mine anger, I will not again destroy Ephraim; for I am God, and not man, -- the Holy One in the midst of thee: and I will not come in anger.
За Господом пі́дуть вони, а Він заричи́ть, немов лев, і Він заричи́ть, і від за́ходу при́йдуть в тремті́нні сини́.
They shall walk after Jehovah; he shall roar like a lion; when he shall roar, then the children shall hasten from the west:
