    Я бачив Господа, що стояв над же́ртівником, і Він сказав: Удар но по ма́ковиці цих воріт, щоб затрясли́ся поро́ги, і порозбивай їх на всіх їхніх го́ловах, а їхній останок заб'ю́ Я мечем. Не втече їм втіка́ч, і гоне́ць не врятується в них!

    The Destruction of Israel

    I saw the Lord standing by the altar, and He said:
    “Strike the [a]doorposts, that the thresholds may shake,
    And break them on the heads of them all.
    I will slay the last of them with the sword.
    He who flees from them shall not get away,
    And he who escapes from them shall not be delivered.

    Якщо б закопа́лись вони до шео́лу, то й звідти рука Моя їх забере́, і якщо б підняли́ся на небо, то й звідти їх ски́ну!

    “Though they dig into [b]hell,
    From there My hand shall take them;
    Though they climb up to heaven,
    From there I will bring them down;

    А якщо б похова́лись вони на верхови́ні Карме́лу, — звідти ви́шукаю й заберу́ їх, а якщо на дні моря вони похова́ються з-перед очей Моїх, то й там Я гадюці звелю́, — і вона їх покуса́є!

    And though they hide themselves on top of Carmel,
    From there I will search and take them;
    Though they hide from My sight at the bottom of the sea,
    From there I will command the serpent, and it shall bite them;

    А якщо вони пі́дуть в поло́н перед своїми ворогами, то й там накажу́ Я мече́ві — і він їх повбиває, і на них Я зверну́ Своє око на зле, а не на добре.

    Though they go into captivity before their enemies,
    From there I will command the sword,
    And it shall slay them.
    I will set My eyes on them for harm and not for good.”

    Бо коли Господь Бог Савао́т доторкне́ться землі, то розта́не вона, і в жало́бу впаду́ть всі мешка́нці її. І вся вона вийде, немов та Ріка́, і мов рі́чка Єгипту обни́зиться.

    The Lord God of hosts,
    He who touches the earth and it melts,
    And all who dwell there mourn;
    All of it shall swell like [c]the River,
    And subside like the River of Egypt.

    Він будує на небі черто́ги Свої, а Свій небозвід закла́в над землею, воду мо́рську Він кличе, і виливає її на пове́рхню землі, — Госпо́дь Йому Йме́ння!

    He who builds His layers[d] in the sky,
    And has founded His strata in the earth;
    Who calls for the waters of the sea,
    And pours them out on the face of the earth —
    The Lord is His name.

    Хіба ж ви, Ізраїлеві сини, Мені не такі, як сини етіо́плян? говорить Господь. Хіба ж не Ізраїля вивів Я з кра́ю єгипетського, а филисти́млян з Кафто́ру, а Ара́ма із Кі́ру?

    “Are you not like the [e]people of Ethiopia to Me,
    O children of Israel?” says the Lord.
    “Did I not bring up Israel from the land of Egypt,
    The Philistines from Caphtor,[f]
    And the Syrians from Kir?

    Ось очі Господа Бога на грішне це царство, — і з пове́рхні землі його вигублю, та вигу́блюючи, не погублю́ дому Якового, говорить Господь.

    “Behold, the eyes of the Lord God are on the sinful kingdom,
    And I will destroy it from the face of the earth;
    Yet I will not utterly destroy the house of Jacob,”
    Says the Lord.

    Бо ось Я звелів, і серед наро́дів усіх пересі́ю Ізраїлів дім, як пересіва́ється ре́шетом, — і жодне зере́нце на землю не ви́паде!

    “For surely I will command,
    And will [g]sift the house of Israel among all nations,
    As grain is sifted in a sieve;
    Yet not the smallest [h]grain shall fall to the ground.

    Упаду́ть усі грішні наро́ду Мого від меча, що говорять: Не дося́гне до нас і не стріне оце́ нас нещастя!

    All the sinners of My people shall die by the sword,
    Who say, ‘The calamity shall not overtake nor confront us.’
  • 11
    Того дня Я поставлю упа́лу Давидову ски́нію і проло́ми в ній загороджу́, і поставлю руїни його́, і відбудую його́, як за днів старода́вніх,

    Israel Will Be Restored

    “On that day I will raise up
    The [i]tabernacle of David, which has fallen down,
    And [j]repair its damages;
    I will raise up its ruins,
    And rebuild it as in the days of old;
  • 12
    щоб решту Едо́му посіли вони, і всі ті наро́ди, що в них кли́калося Моє Йме́ння, говорить Господь, Який чинить оце.

    That they may possess the remnant of Edom,[k]
    And all the Gentiles who are called by My name,”
    Says the Lord who does this thing.
  • 13
    Ось дні настають, говорить Господь, і ора́ч із женце́м зустрі́неться, а топта́ч винограду — із сіяче́м, і го́ри закра́пають виногра́довим соком, а всі взгі́р'я добром потечу́ть.

    “Behold, the days are coming,” says the Lord,
    “When the plowman shall overtake the reaper,
    And the treader of grapes him who sows seed;
    The mountains shall drip with sweet wine,
    And all the hills shall flow with it.

    І долю наро́ду Свого, Ізра́їля, Я поверну́, і побудую міста́ попусто́шені, і ося́дуть вони, і заса́дять вони виноградники, й питимуть їхнє вино, і порозво́дять садки́, і будуть їсти їхній о́воч.

    I will bring back the captives of My people Israel;
    They shall build the waste cities and inhabit them;
    They shall plant vineyards and drink wine from them;
    They shall also make gardens and eat fruit from them.

    І Я посаджу́ їх на їхній землі, і не бу́дуть їх більш виривати з своєї землі, яку Я їм дав, говорить Госпо́дь, Бог твій!“

    I will plant them in their land,
    And no longer shall they be pulled up
    From the land I have given them,”
    Says the Lord your God.
