Невірні ж юдеї підбу́рили та роз'ятри́ли душі поган на братів.
But the Jews who did not believe stirred up the minds of [those of] the nations and made [them] evil-affected against the brethren.
Та проте довгий час пробули́ вони там, промовляючи мужньо про Господа, що свідо́цтво давав слову благода́ті Своєї і робив, щоб знаме́на та чу́да чинились їхніми руками.
They stayed therefore a good while, speaking boldly, [confiding] in the Lord, who gave witness to the word of his grace, giving signs and wonders to be done by their hands.
А в місті наро́д поділився, — і пристали одні до юдеїв, а інші тримались апо́столів.
And the multitude of the city was divided, and some were with the Jews and some with the apostles.
Коли ж кинулися ті погани й юдеї з своїми старши́ми, щоб зневажити їх та камінням побити,
And when an assault was making, both of [those of] the nations and [the] Jews with their rulers, to use [them] ill and stone them,
то, дізнавшись про це, вони повтікали до міст лікао́нських, до Лі́стри та Де́рвії, та в околиці їхні,
they, being aware of it, fled to the cities of Lycaonia, Lystra and Derbe, and the surrounding country,
А в Лі́стрі сидів один чоловік, безвладний на ноги, що кривий був з утроби своєї матері, і ніко́ли ходити не міг.
The Visit to Lystra and Derbe
And a certain man in Lystra, impotent in his feet, sat, [being] lame from his mother's womb, who had never walked.

Він слухав, як Павло́ говорив, який пильно на нього споглянув, і побачив, що має він віру вздоровленим бути,
This [man] heard Paul speaking, who, fixing his eyes on him, and seeing that he had faith to be healed,
то голосом гучни́м промовив: „Устань просто на ноги свої!“ А той скочив, і ходити почав.
said with a loud voice, Rise up straight upon thy feet: and he sprang up and walked.
А люди, побачивши, що́ Павло́ вчинив, підне́сли свій голос, говорячи по-лікао́нському: „Боги людям вподі́бнились, та до нас ось зійшли!“
But the crowds, who saw what Paul had done, lifted up their voices in Lycaonian, saying, The gods, having made themselves like men, are come down to us.
І Варнаву вони звали Зе́всом, а Герме́сом Павла, бо він провід мав у слові.
And they called Barnabas Jupiter, and Paul Mercury, because he took the lead in speaking.
А жрець Зе́вса, що святиня його перед містом була, припрова́див бики та вінки до воріт, та й з наро́дом прино́сити жертву хотів.
And the priest of Jupiter who was before the city, having brought bulls and garlands to the gates, would have done sacrifice along with the crowds.
Та коли про це почули апо́столи Варнава й Павло, то роздерли одежі свої, та й кинулися між наро́д, кричачи
But the apostles Barnabas and Paul, having heard [it], rent their garments, and rushed out to the crowd, crying
та говорячи: „Що́ це робите, люди? Таж і ми такі самі смерте́льні, подібні вам люди, і благовістимо́ вам, — від оцих ось марно́т наверну́тись до Бога Живого, що створив небо й землю, і море, і все, що в них є.
and saying, Men, why do ye these things? *We* also are men of like passions with you, preaching to you to turn from these vanities to the living God, who made the heaven, and the earth, and the sea, and all things in them;
За минулих родів попустив Він усім народам, щоб ходили стежка́ми своїми,
who in the past generations suffered all the nations to go in their own ways,
але́ не зоставив Себе Він без свідчення, добро чинячи: подавав нам із неба дощі та врожайні часи́, та напо́внював їжею й радощами серця наші“.
though indeed he did not leave himself without witness, doing good, and giving to you from heaven rain and fruitful seasons, filling your hearts with food and gladness.
І, говорячи це, зале́две спинили наро́д не приносити їм же́ртов.
And saying these things, they with difficulty kept the crowds from sacrificing to them.
А з Антіохі́ї та з Іконі́ї посхо́дились юдеї, і, підбуривши на́товп, камінням побили Павла, та й за місто геть виволікли, мавши думку, що вмер він.
But there came Jews from Antioch and Iconium, and having persuaded the crowds and stoned Paul, drew him out of the city, supposing him to have died.
Коли ж учні його оточили, то він устав, та й вернувся до міста. А наступного дня він відбув із Варнавою в Де́рвію.
But while the disciples encircled him, he rose up and entered into the city. And on the morrow he went away with Barnabas to Derbe.
І, як звістили Єва́нгелію тому містові, і учнів багато придбали, вони повернулися в Лі́стру, та в Іконі́ю, та в Антіохі́ю,

And having announced the glad tidings to that city, and having made many disciples, they returned to Lystra, and Iconium, and Antioch,

душі учнів зміцняючи, просячи перебувати в вірі, та навча́ючи, що через великі у́тиски треба нам вхо́дити у Боже Царство.
establishing the souls of the disciples, exhorting them to abide in the faith, and that through many tribulations we must enter into the kingdom of God.
І рукопокла́ли їм пресві́терів по Церквах, і помолилися з по́стом та й їх передали Господе́ві, в Якого ввірували.
And having chosen them elders in each assembly, having prayed with fastings, they committed them to the Lord, on whom they had believed.
Як вони ж перейшли Пісіді́ю, прибули в Памфілі́ю;
And having passed through Pisidia they came to Pamphylia,
і, звістивши Господнє Слово в Пергі́ї, вони в Атталі́ю ввійшли,
and having spoken the word in Perga, they came down to Attalia;
а звідти поплинули в Антіохі́ю, звідки були благода́ті Божій віддані на ді́ло, що його й закінчи́ли.

And having arrived, and having brought together the assembly, they related to them all that God had done with them, and that he had opened a door of faith to the nations.
