і до царів, що з пі́вночі на горі та в степу́ на пі́вдень Кінроту, і в Шефелі, і на верхах Дори з за́ходу, —
and to the kings who were of the north in the hill country, and in the Arabah — south of Chinneroth and in the lowland and on the heights of Dor on the west —
ханаане́янин зо сходу та з за́ходу, а аморе́янин, і хітте́янин, і періззе́янин, і євусе́янин, а хівве́янин під Гермоном, у краї Міцпи́.
to the Canaanite on the east and on the west, and the Amorite and the Hittite and the Perizzite and the Jebusite in the hill country, and the Hivite at the foot of Hermon in the land of Mizpeh.
І вийшли вони та всі їхні табо́ри з ними, народ, числе́нний кі́лькістю, як пісок, що на березі моря, і ко́ней та колесни́ць — дуже багато.
They came out, they and all their armies with them, as many people as the sand that is on the seashore, with very many horses and chariots.
І змо́вилися всі ці царі, і прийшли й таборува́ли ра́зом при озері Мером, щоб воювати з Ізраїлем.
So all of these kings having agreed to meet, came and encamped together at the waters of Merom, to fight against Israel.
І сказав Господь до Ісуса: „Не бійся їх, бо взавтра коло цього ча́су Я покладу їх усіх тру́пами перед Ізраїлем; їхнім ко́ням попідрі́зуєш жили ніг, а їхні колесниці попалиш в огні“.
Then the LORD said to Joshua, “Do not be afraid because of them, for tomorrow at this time I will deliver all of them slain before Israel; you shall hamstring their horses and burn their chariots with fire.”
І вийшов на них знена́цька Ісус та всі вояки́ з ним при озері Мером, та й напали на них.
So Joshua and all the people of war with him came upon them suddenly by the waters of Merom, and attacked them.
І дав їх Господь в Ізраїлеву руку, і вони повбивали їх, і гнали їх аж до Великого Сидону, і аж до Місрефот-Маїму, і аж до долини Міцпи на схід, і повибива́ли їх, так що не зоставили їм жодного врято́ваного.
The LORD delivered them into the hand of Israel, so that they defeated them, and pursued them as far as Great Sidon and Misrephoth-maim and the valley of Mizpeh to the east; and they struck them until no survivor was left to them.
І зробив їм Ісус, як сказав йому Господь: їхнім ко́ням попідрізував жили, а їхні колесни́ці попалив ув огні.
Joshua did to them as the LORD had told him; he hamstrung their horses and burned their chariots with fire.
І вернувся Ісус того ча́су, і здобув Хацор, а його царя вбив мечем, бо Хацор перед тим був головою всіх тих царств.
Then Joshua turned back at that time, and captured Hazor and struck its king with the sword; for Hazor formerly was the head of all these kingdoms.
І вони повбивали ві́стрям меча кожну особу, що в ньому, зробили їх закляттям, — не позосталася жодна душа, а Хацора спалив огнем.
They struck every person who was in it with the edge of the sword, utterly destroying them; there was no one left who breathed. And he burned Hazor with fire.
А всі царські́ міста́ та всіх їхніх царів Ісус здобув, та й повбивав їх ві́стрям меча, зробив їх закляттям, як наказав був Мойсей, раб Господній.
Joshua captured all the cities of these kings, and all their kings, and he struck them with the edge of the sword, and utterly destroyed them; just as Moses the servant of the LORD had commanded.
Тільки всі міста́, що стоять на згі́р'ях своїх, не спалив їх Ізраїль, крім Хацору, — одно́го його́ спалив Ісус.
However, Israel did not burn any cities that stood on their mounds, except Hazor alone, which Joshua burned.
А всю здо́бич тих міст та худобу Ізраїлеві сини забрали собі; тільки кожну люди́ну побили ві́стрям меча, аж поки вони не вигубили їх, — не позоставили жодної душі.
All the spoil of these cities and the cattle, the sons of Israel took as their plunder; but they struck every man with the edge of the sword, until they had destroyed them. They left no one who breathed.
Як Господь наказав був Мойсеєві, Своє́му рабові, так Мойсей наказав Ісусові, і так зробив Ісус, — не занеха́в ані сло́ва зо всього, що Господь наказав був Мойсеєві.
Just as the LORD had commanded Moses his servant, so Moses commanded Joshua, and so Joshua did; he left nothing undone of all that the LORD had commanded Moses.
І взяв Ісус ввесь той край: го́ри Юди і ввесь Неґев, і ввесь ґошенський край, і Шефелу, і Араву, і гори Ізра́їлеві, і їхню надмо́рську низину́,
Thus Joshua took all that land: the hill country and all the Negev, all that land of Goshen, the lowland, the Arabah, the hill country of Israel and its lowland
від гори Халак, що тягнеться до Сеїру, і аж до Баал-Ґаду в лива́нській долині під горою Гермо́н. А всіх їхніх царів він забрав, і би́в їх, і повбивав їх.
from Mount Halak, that rises toward Seir, even as far as Baal-gad in the valley of Lebanon at the foot of Mount Hermon. And he captured all their kings and struck them down and put them to death.
Довгий час провадив Ісус війну зо всіма́ тими царями.
Joshua waged war a long time with all these kings.
Не було міста, що склало б мир з Ізраїлевими синами, окрім хівве́янина, ґів'онських ме́шканців, — усе взяли́ війною.
There was not a city which made peace with the sons of Israel except the Hivites living in Gibeon; they took them all in battle.
Бо від Господа було́, щоб зробити запеклим їхнє серце на війну проти Ізраїля, щоб учинити їх закляттям, щоб не було для них милости, але щоб вигубити їх, як Господь наказав був Мойсеєві.
For it was of the LORD to harden their hearts, to meet Israel in battle in order that he might utterly destroy them, that they might receive no mercy, but that he might destroy them, just as the LORD had commanded Moses.
І прийшов Ісус того ча́су, і вигубив ве́летнів із гори, з Хеврону, з Девіру, з Анаву, і з усіх Юдських гір, і з усіх Ізраїлевих гір, — ра́зом з їхніми містами Ісус зробив їх закляттям.
Then Joshua came at that time and cut off the Anakim from the hill country, from Hebron, from Debir, from Anab and from all the hill country of Judah and from all the hill country of Israel. Joshua utterly destroyed them with their cities.
Не позоставив ве́летня в кра́ї Ізраїлевих синів, — вони позостали тільки в Аззі, в Ґаті та в Ашдоді.
There were no Anakim left in the land of the sons of Israel; only in Gaza, in Gath, and in Ashdod some remained.
І взяв Ісус увесь край, усе так, як говорив був Господь до Мойсея. І Ісус дав його Ізра́їлеві на спа́док, за їхнім поділом на їхні племе́на. А край заспоко́ївся від війни.
So Joshua took the whole land, according to all that the LORD had spoken to Moses, and Joshua gave it for an inheritance to Israel according to their divisions by their tribes. Thus the land had rest from war.
