Я знаю діла твої, і працю твою, і твою терпеливі́сть, і що не можеш терпіти лихих, і ви́пробував тих, хто себе називає апо́столами, але ними не є, і знайшов, що фальшиві вони.
‘I know your deeds and your toil and perseverance, and that you cannot tolerate evil men, and you put to the test those who call themselves apostles, and they are not, and you found them to be false;
І ти маєш терпіння, і працюва́в для Йме́ння Мого, але не знемігся.
and you have perseverance and have endured for My name’s sake, and have not grown weary.
Але маю на тебе, що ти покинув свою першу любов.
‘But I have this against you, that you have left your first love.
Отож, пам'ятай, звідки ти впав, і покайся, і вчинки давніші роби. Коли ж ні, то до тебе прийду́ незаба́ром, і зру́шу твого світильника́ з його місця, якщо не покаєшся.
‘Therefore remember from where you have fallen, and repent and do the deeds you did at first; or else I am coming to you and will remove your lampstand out of its place — unless you repent.
Але маєш оце, що нена́видиш учинки Николаї́тів, яких і Я нена́виджу.
‘Yet this you do have, that you hate the deeds of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate.
Хто має вухо, хай чує, що Дух промовляє Церква́м: переможцеві дам їсти від дерева життя, яке в раю́ Божім“.
‘He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes, I will grant to eat of the tree of life which is in the Paradise of God.’
А до ангола Церкви в Смірні напиши: „Оце каже Перший й Останній, що був мертвий й ожив:
Message to Smyrna
“And to the angel of the church in Smyrna write:
The first and the last, who was dead, and has come to life, says this:
Я знаю діла твої, і біду́, і убозтво, — але ти багатий, — і зневагу тих, що говорять про себе, ніби юдеї вони, та ними не є, але вони — зборище сатани.
‘I know your tribulation and your poverty (but you are rich), and the blasphemy by those who say they are Jews and are not, but are a synagogue of Satan.
Не бійся того, що маєш страждати! Ось диявол вкидатиме декого з вас до в'язниць, щоб вас ви́пробувати. І будете мати біду́ десять день. Будь вірний до смерти, і Я тобі дам вінця́ життя!
‘Do not fear what you are about to suffer. Behold, the devil is about to cast some of you into prison, so that you will be tested, and you will have tribulation for ten days. Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life.
Хто має вухо, хай чує, що́ Дух промовляє Церква́м: переможець не буде пошко́джений від другої смерти“.
‘He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. He who overcomes will not be hurt by the second death.’
А до ангола Церкви в Перга́мі напиши: „Оце каже Той, що має меча обосі́чного:
Message to Pergamum
“And to the angel of the church in Pergamum write:
The One who has the sharp two-edged sword says this:
Я знаю діла твої, і що де ти живеш, там престол сатани. І трима́єш ти Йме́ння Моє, і ти не відкинувся від віри Моєї навіть за днів, коли в вас, де живе сатана́, був убитий Анти́па, свідок Мій вірний.
‘I know where you dwell, where Satan’s throne is; and you hold fast My name, and did not deny My faith even in the days of Antipas, My witness, My faithful one, who was killed among you, where Satan dwells.
Але трохи Я маю на тебе, бо маєш там тих, хто трима́ється науки Валаа́ма, що навчав був Бала́ка покласти спотика́ння перед синами Ізраїля, щоб їли ідольські жертви й розпу́сту чинили.
‘But I have a few things against you, because you have there some who hold the teaching of Balaam, who kept teaching Balak to put a stumbling block before the sons of Israel, to eat things sacrificed to idols and to commit acts of immorality.
Так маєш і ти таких, що трима́ються науки Николаїтської так само.
‘So you also have some who in the same way hold the teaching of the Nicolaitans.
Тож покайся! Коли ж ні, то до тебе прийду́ незаба́ром, і воюватиму з ними мечем Своїх уст.
‘Therefore repent; or else I am coming to you quickly, and I will make war against them with the sword of My mouth.
Хто має вухо, хай чує, що́ Дух промовляє Церква́м: переможцеві дам їсти прихо́вану манну, і дам йому білого каменя, а на камені написане ймення нове́, якого не знає ніхто, — тільки той, хто приймає його“.
‘He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes, to him I will give some of the hidden manna, and I will give him a white stone, and a new name written on the stone which no one knows but he who receives it.’
І до ангола Церкви в Тіяти́рах напиши: „Оце каже Син Божий, що має очі Свої, як по́лум'я огняне́, а ноги Його подібні до міді:
Message to Thyatira
“And to the angel of the church in Thyatira write:
The Son of God, who has eyes like a flame of fire, and His feet are like burnished bronze, says this:
Я знаю діла твої, і любов, і віру, і службу, і твою терпеливість, і останні вчинки твої, що більші за перші.
‘I know your deeds, and your love and faith and service and perseverance, and that your deeds of late are greater than at first.
Але маю на тебе, що жінці Єзаве́лі, яка каже, ніби вона пророки́ня, ти попускаєш навчати та зводити рабів Моїх, чинити розпусту та їсти і́дольські жертви.
‘But I have this against you, that you tolerate the woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess, and she teaches and leads My bond-servants astray so that they commit acts of immorality and eat things sacrificed to idols.
І Я дав був їй ча́су, щоб пока́ялася, — та вона не схотіла покаятися в розпусті своїй.
‘I gave her time to repent, and she does not want to repent of her immorality.
Ось Я кину її на ложе, а тих, що чинять із нею розпусту, у велику біду, коли тільки в учинках своїх не покаються,
‘Behold, I will throw her on a bed of sickness, and those who commit adultery with her into great tribulation, unless they repent of her deeds.
а діти її поб'ю́ смертю. І пізнають усі Церкви́, що Я Той, Хто нирки й серця вивіря́є, і Я кожному з вас дам за вчинками вашими.
‘And I will kill her children with pestilence, and all the churches will know that I am He who searches the minds and hearts; and I will give to each one of you according to your deeds.
А вам, та іншим, що в Тіяти́рах, що не мають науки цієї, і — як кажуть — не розуміють так зва́них глиби́н сатани́, кажу́: не накладу́ на вас іншого тягара,
‘But I say to you, the rest who are in Thyatira, who do not hold this teaching, who have not known the deep things of Satan, as they call them — I place no other burden on you.
тільки те, що ви маєте, трима́йте, аж поки прийду́.
‘Nevertheless what you have, hold fast until I come.
А переможцеві, і тому́, хто аж до кінця доде́ржує Мої вчинки, Я дам йому вла́ду „над поганами,
‘He who overcomes, and he who keeps My deeds until the end, TO HIM I WILL GIVE AUTHORITY OVER THE NATIONS;
і буде пасти́ їх залізнним жезлом; вони, немов гли́няний по́суд, покру́шаться“, як і Я оде́ржав вла́ду від Свого́ Отця,
AND HE SHALL RULE THEM WITH A ROD OF IRON, AS THE VESSELS OF THE POTTER ARE BROKEN TO PIECES, as I also have received authority from My Father;
