Почуйте, царі, уші наставте, князі: я — Господе́ві я буду співати, виспі́вувати буду Господа, Бога Ізраїля!
“Hear, O kings; give ear, O rulers!

Господи, — як Ти йшов із Сеїру, як виходив із поля едо́мського, то тремтіла земля, також капало небо, і хмари дощи́ли водою.

Перед Господнім лицем розпливалися гори, — цей Сіна́й перед Господом, Богом Ізраїля.

За днів Шамґара, сина Анатового, спорожніли доро́ги, подоро́жні ж ходили крутими доро́гами.

Нестало селя́нства в Ізраїлі, не стало, аж поки я не повстала, Дево́ра, аж поки я не повстала, мати в Ізраїлі.

Коли вибрав нови́х він богі́в, тоді в брамах війна зачала́сь. Поправді кажу́ вам, — небачений щит був і спис в сорок тисяч Ізраїля!

Ті, хто їздить на білих осли́цях, хто сидить на килима́х та дорогою ходить, — оповідайте!

Через крик при ділі́нні здоби́чі між місця́ми, де воду беру́ть, — там виспівують правди Господні, правди селя́нства Його у Ізраїлі. Тоді то зійшов був до брам Господній наро́д.

Збудися, збудися, Дево́ро! Збудися, збудися, — і пісню співай! Устань, Бара́ку, і візьми до неволі своїх полоне́них, сину Авіноа́мів!

Тоді позосталий зійшов до поту́жних наро́ду, проти хоробрих Господь був до мене зійшов.

Від Єфрема прийшли були ті, що в Амали́ку їх корень; Веніямин за тобою, серед наро́дів твоїх; від Махі́ра зійшли були провідники́; а від Завуло́на оті, хто веде пером пи́саря.

І князі Іссахарові ра́зом з Дево́рою, і Іссаха́р, як Бара́к, був відпу́щений пішки в долину. Великі виві́дування у Рувимових відділах!

Чого ти усівсь між коша́рами, щоб слухати ме́кання стад? Великі виві́дування у Рувимових відділах!

Пробуває Ґілеад на тім боці Йорда́ну, а Дан — чому на кораблях буде ме́шкати він? На березі моря осівся Аси́р, і при потоках своїх пробува́є.

Завуло́н — це народ, що прирік свою душу на смерть, а Нефтали́м — на польови́х висота́х.

Тоді стукотіли копи́та коня від бігу швидко́го, від бігу його скакуні́в!

Через вікно виглядала та голосила Сісе́рина мати крізь ґрати: „Чому коле́сниця його припізни́лась вернутись? Чому припізнились коле́са запря́жок його?“

Мудрі княги́ні її дають відповідь їй, та й вона сама відповідає собі:
“Her wise princesses would answer her,

„Ось здо́бич знахо́дять та ділять вони, — бра́нка, дві бра́нці на кожного му́жа! А здо́бич із шат кольоро́вих — Сісері, здобич із шат кольоро́вих, різноба́рвна ткани́на, на два боки гапто́вана, — жінці на шию“.
