Luke 24

    У перший день тижня, [87] рано-вранці жінки, взявши з собою пахощів, які вони приготували, прийшли до гробниці, де було поховано Ісуса.

    He Is Risen

    Now on the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they, [a]and certain other women with them, came to the tomb bringing the spices which they had prepared.

    But they found the stone rolled away from the tomb.

    Жінки ввійшли в склеп, але тіла Господа Ісуса там не знайшли.

    Then they went in and did not find the body of the Lord Jesus.

    Поки вони дивувалися тим, що трапилося, поруч із ними раптом з’явилися двоє чоловіків у сліпучому вбранні.

    And it happened, as they were [b]greatly perplexed about this, that behold, two men stood by them in shining garments.

    Then, as they were afraid and bowed their faces to the earth, they said to them, “Why do you seek the living among the dead?

    He is not here, but is risen! Remember how He spoke to you when He was still in Galilee,

    Він казав, що Сина Людського має бути віддано грішникам і розіп’ято, але на третій день Він воскресне знов».

    saying, ‘The Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.’ ”

    І тоді жінки згадали Ісусові слова.

    And they remembered His words.

    Вони повернулися до міста й розповіли про все це одинадцятьом апостолам і всім іншим учням Ісусовим.

    Then they returned from the tomb and told all these things to the eleven and to all the rest.
  • 10
    Ті жінки були Марія Маґдалена, Іоанна й Марія, мати Якова. Вони, та інші жінки, які були з ними, розповіли апостолам про все, що сталося.

    It was Mary Magdalene, Joanna, Mary the mother of James, and the other women with them, who told these things to the apostles.

    Але апостолам їхня розповідь здалася безглуздою, і вони жінкам не повірили.

    And their words seemed to them like [c]idle tales, and they did not believe them.
  • 12
    Та Петро встав і побіг до могили. Він зайшов у печеру, але не знайшов там нічого, крім лляної тканини, в яку було завернуте тіло Ісуса. Він пішов назад, дивуючись — що то могло статися? [88]

    But Peter arose and ran to the tomb; and stooping down, he saw the linen cloths [d]lying by themselves; and he departed, marveling to himself at what had happened.

    Того ж дня двоє Ісусових учнів йшли до містечка Емауса, що в дванадцяти кілометрах [89] від Єрусалиму.

    The Road to Emmaus

    Now behold, two of them were traveling that same day to a village called Emmaus, which was [e]seven miles from Jerusalem.

    По дорозі вони обговорювали все, що сталося.

    And they talked together of all these things which had happened.
  • 15
    І от саме під час цієї розмови Сам Ісус наблизився до них, й пішов далі з ними разом.

    So it was, while they conversed and reasoned, that Jesus Himself drew near and went with them.

    Але ж їм не дозволено було впізнати Христа.
  • 16
    But their eyes were restrained, so that they did not know Him.
  • 17
    Ісус запитав їх: «Що це за речі, які ви обговорюєте між собою дорогою?» Вони зупинилися й сумно подивилися на Нього.

    And He said to them, “What kind of conversation is this that you have with one another as you [f]walk and are sad?”
  • 18
    Один із них, якого звали Клеопа, сказав Ісусу: «Ти, мабуть, один такий, хто мешкає у Єрусалимі й не знає про те, що там сталося останніми днями».

    Then the one whose name was Cleopas answered and said to Him, “Are You the only stranger in Jerusalem, and have You not known the things which happened there in these days?”

    Та Ісус спитав: «Про що це ти говориш?» А вони кажуть: «Про те, що сталося з Ісусом з Назарета. То був Чоловік, Який виявився пророком, могутній ділом і словом, перед Богом і всіма людьми.

    And He said to them, “What things?”
    So they said to Him, “The things concerning Jesus of Nazareth, who was a Prophet mighty in deed and word before God and all the people,
  • 20
    І як наші головні священики й вожді віддали Його, щоб присудити до страти і розіп’яття на хресті.
  • 20
    and how the chief priests and our rulers delivered Him to be condemned to death, and crucified Him.
  • 21
    Ми сподівалися, що це був саме Той, Котрий збирався визволити Ізраїль. Але попри все, сьогодні, третього дня відтоді, як Його було страчено,
  • 21
    But we were hoping that it was He who was going to redeem Israel. Indeed, besides all this, today is the third day since these things happened.

    деякі наших жінок приголомшили нас: рано вранці вони пішли до могили, де Його було поховано, але не знайшли там Його тіла.

    Yes, and certain women of our company, who arrived at the tomb early, astonished us.
  • 23
    Вони прийшли й розповіли нам, що їм було видіння — вони бачили Ангелів. І Ангели сказали їм, що Ісус живий.

    When they did not find His body, they came saying that they had also seen a vision of angels who said He was alive.
  • 24
    Тоді дехто з тих, хто був з нами, пішли до могили. Вони знайшли все точно так, як жінки розповіли, але не побачили Його».

    And certain of those who were with us went to the tomb and found it just as the women had said; but Him they did not see.”
  • 25
    Тоді Ісус сказав їм: «Ви такі нерозумні! І як тяжко вам повірити у те, про що говорили пророки!

    Then He said to them, “O foolish ones, and slow of heart to believe in all that the prophets have spoken!
  • 26
    Чи не мусив Христос прийняти ці страждання, а потім увійти у Славу Свою?»

    Ought not the Christ to have suffered these things and to enter into His glory?”
  • 27
    І так, починаючи з Мойсея, зупиняючись на кожному з пророків, Ісус пояснив тим двом Своїм учням те, що сказано про Нього в усьому Святому Писанні.

    And beginning at Moses and all the Prophets, He [g]expounded to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning Himself.

    Вони підійшли до містечка, до якого прямували, та Ісус удав, ніби хоче йти далі.

    The Disciples’ Eyes Opened

    Then they drew near to the village where they were going, and He [h]indicated that He would have gone farther.

    Але вони дуже вмовляли Його: «Зостанься з нами, бо день майже закінчився й вже вечоріє». Тож Він погодився й залишився з ними.

    But they constrained Him, saying, “Abide with us, for it is toward evening, and the day is far spent.” And He went in to stay with them.
  • 30
    Коли вони сіли за стіл, Ісус узяв хліб і віддав дяку, а потім розломив його й роздав їм.
  • 30
    Now it came to pass, as He sat at the table with them, that He took bread, blessed and broke it, and gave it to them.
  • 31
    І тут їхні очі відкрилися, й вони впізнали Ісуса, але Він зник.

    Then their eyes were opened and they knew Him; and He vanished from their sight.
  • 32
    І один із учнів сказав другому: «Чи не горіли наші серця в грудях, коли Він говорив з нами по дорозі, пояснюючи нам Святе Писання?»

    And they said to one another, “Did not our heart burn within us while He talked with us on the road, and while He opened the Scriptures to us?”
  • 33
    Тієї ж миті вони підвелися й пішли назад до Єрусалиму. Вони знайшли одинадцятьох апостолів і інших учнів Христа, котрі зібралися разом з ними.

    So they rose up that very hour and returned to Jerusalem, and found the eleven and those who were with them gathered together,

    Апостоли та інші учні сказали: «Господь справді воскрес! Він з’явився Симонові».

    saying, “The Lord is risen indeed, and has appeared to Simon!”
  • 35
    Тоді ті двоє учнів розповіли про все, що з ними сталося на дорозі, і як вони впізнали Ісуса, коли Він розломив хліб.

    And they told about the things that had happened on the road, and how He was [i]known to them in the breaking of bread.

    Коли вони все це розповідали, Сам Ісус став між ними, сказавши: «Мир вам!»

    Jesus Appears to His Disciples

    Now as they said these things, Jesus Himself stood in the midst of them, and said to them, “Peace to you.”

    Але їх охопив страх. Вони затремтіли, бо подумали, що бачать привід.

    But they were terrified and frightened, and supposed they had seen a spirit.
  • 38
    Але Він сказав їм: «Чого ви так стривожилися? Чому сумніви заворушилися в ваших серцях?

    And He said to them, “Why are you troubled? And why do doubts arise in your hearts?
  • 39
    Погляньте на Мої руки й ноги. Ви ж бачите: це справді Я. Торкніться Мене й подивіться на Мене. Привиди не мають м’яса й кісток. Як ви бачите — Я маю».

    Behold My hands and My feet, that it is I Myself. Handle Me and see, for a spirit does not have flesh and bones as you see I have.”

    І промовляючи це, Він показував їм руки й ноги.

    [j]When He had said this, He showed them His hands and His feet.
  • 41
    Поки вони ще не вірили, і дивувалися, і раділи, Ісус спитав їх: «Чи маєте ви тут щось поїсти?»

    But while they still did not believe for joy, and marveled, He said to them, “Have you any food here?”
  • 42
    Апостоли дали Йому шмат печеної риби.
  • 42
    So they gave Him a piece of a broiled fish [k]and some honeycomb.
  • 43
    Він узяв і почав їсти перед ними.
  • 43
    And He took it and ate in their presence.
  • 44
    І сказав їм Ісус: «Це слова, що казав Я вам, коли ще був із вами: все сказане про Мене в Законі Мойсеєвім, у пророків і в псалмах — мусить збутися».

    The Scriptures Opened

    Then He said to them, “These are the words which I spoke to you while I was still with you, that all things must be fulfilled which were written in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms concerning Me.”

    І Він розкрив їх розум, щоб вони могли розуміти Святе Писання.
  • 45
    And He opened their understanding, that they might comprehend the Scriptures.

    І промовив Ісус: «Так сказано у Святому Писанні: Христос страждатиме й воскресне з мертвих на третій день.
  • 46
    Then He said to them, “Thus it is written, [l]and thus it was necessary for the Christ to suffer and to rise from the dead the third day,
  • 47-48
    Ви — свідки цих подій. Ви повинні проповідувати покаяння для прощення гріхів усім народам, починаючи з Єрусалиму.

    and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.
  • 48
    And you are witnesses of these things.
  • 49
    Пам’ятайте, що Я пошлю вам Того, Кого обіцяв Отець Мій, але залишайтеся в місті, аж доки ви одержите силу з Небес».

    Behold, I send the Promise of My Father upon you; but tarry in the city [m]of Jerusalem until you are endued with power from on high.”
  • 50
    Потім Ісус вивів учнів Своїх із Єрусалиму, та повів аж до Віфанії, а опісля, піднявши руки, благословив їх.

    The Ascension

    And He led them out as far as Bethany, and He lifted up His hands and blessed them.

    Благословляючи, Ісус залишив їх і був вознесений на Небо.
  • 51
    Now it came to pass, while He blessed them, that He was parted from them and carried up into heaven.
  • 52
    Апостоли вклонилися Йому, а потім повернулися до Єрусалиму, сповнені великої радості.
  • 52
    And they worshiped Him, and returned to Jerusalem with great joy,
  • 53
    І весь час, перебуваючи в Храмі, вони славили Бога.
  • 53
    and were continually in the temple [n]praising and blessing God. [o]Amen.
